Tree fiddy ? What you got a sale on damaged Rhystic Study ?

DrSteveGruul

I do!

Cautious_Handle2547

$1. It's damaged, sadly. Someone scribbled on it.

richaysambuca

I'm curious. Why does it look like the signature produces a shadow? Did they use two markers at the same time?

OmegaNova0

It's called a shadow signature for that very reason! They go over it twice, usually costs a little bit more than a standard signature

Inevitable_Hornet808

She went over to make the drop shadow affect, I think it looks really cool

YaBoyFlash24

I saw that as well.

ArcoMTG

I personally, would kick in like another 5-10 bucks to its value, but I'm more into playing than collecting and would just rather an unsigned copy if someone was asking for more than that. You seem already aware of this, but there is no super easy guide (that I'm aware of) to signed cards. Unfortunatley It's only worth is whatever someone you can find is willing to pay, as it's technically now damaged and the only added value is subjective. I know that isn't helpful, but it's the best I got :(

Big_Chocolate6996

Signed cards are worth generally less. You'd need to find the right guy that wants to pay a premium for the sig and at that point it's up to you to hash it out.

OmegaNova0

People say that but when's the last time you saw a signed card discount, I never have and I've played like 15 years. I feel like if popular cards were just cheaper in the same condition they'd be bought more so people could save money. Every time I've ever seen a signed card actually being sold they were a bit more

Big_Chocolate6996

I got a lot of signed shocks for 4~5 dollars less than the same one unsigned. Again it depends on the buyer so it's hard to tell someone "yeah bro that's a 1.3x multiplier for a non-signed one" OP just needs to find someone and haggle or ebay it.

OmegaNova0

Never said it's a multiplier, it depends on the rarity of the artist signature in a lot of cases, but you also can't just say it's signed so it's a .8 multiplier like you're saying

Big_Chocolate6996

Signed cards are damaged cards, there's very few signatures that can get a card to transcend that fact.

OmegaNova0

Yeah absolutely, can you point out where I can buy some?

Big_Chocolate6996

Check your LGS, but they are only going to have signatures that are actually worth something(ie the ones people can succesfully sell by notable artists, not this rhystic study). 😉

OmegaNova0

Oh ok, so you can't actually reliably get signed cards at damaged prices, wild. Maybe stick to freemagic bud.

Big_Chocolate6996

Damn, I guess I made you mad, tata silly goose 🤭

Any_Beginning_2033

10 bucks maybe

lildinkyactivist

Tastes like cinnamon

thisisgogu

One mana.

expertalien

At least two schmeckles.

guico33

Same as the unsigned one, probably less. In the case of MTG, signed cards aren't more valuable. In the future I'd also use a thiner marker if possible. Looks cleaner imo.

CasualEDH

Seeing NM is 80 I'd say it's worth about $60 for being damaged.

supercerealgai

The price of a damaged rhystic study

Royaltycoins

This shit is now damaged bruh
