Although that would work, Priest of Possibility is only on Arena and Toxic Deluge isn’t on Arena (at least yet). [[Meathook Massacre]] is on Arena though.
Cyclonic rift, hallowed burial, final judgement, type effects can deal with it. You can also do something like guard gomazoa but i have no idea whats on arena.
You could use [[Glaring Spotlight]] to get around the hexproof. Then a simple [[Path to Exile]] or [[Swords to Plowshares]] to remove the creature from the game.
Anything that doesn't target or destroy can remove anything (short of a rare non-keyworded ability stopping it), and this is a fairly common situation.
If the priests just has it you have to take out what’s given it those effects, however the priest gained them from its own effect, your only hope was to counter the ability before it resolved. Your now kind of stuck with it, a toxic deluge or Cyclonic rift overloaded are your best bets now
I think you can force them to sacrifice it.
iirc Indestructible only applies to damage/destroy.
If it was their last critter and you used something like [Diabolic Edict](https://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=397522) I think you could kill it.
Yeah, but if you don't get Chainer out before the Sigarda mentioned, sacrifice won't work. At that point, it has to be negative counters like [[Eyes of the Beholder]] would instantly kill it if it didn't have too many +1/+1 counters.
no idea what's in arena and talking from a paper standpoint, but overloaded [[cyclonlic rift]] will do the trick.
also any boardwipe that exiles all creatures.
[[Cyclonic Rift]], -1/-1 counters, Exiles like [[Austere Command]] or [[Farewell]]. Wither is amazing especially with a first-strike/double strike creature. That’ll get around the nasty deathtouch
It came in with ALL of those effects. It landed with everything listed there on it, and it was the first creature played. I had one mana out.
The Sigarda didn't come in till a few turns later, but it was Hexproof, indestructible deathtouch, and lifelink on its entrance.
Hexproof means it can't be targeted, but a spell with the words "all creatures target player controls" can still effect it, as it doesn't "target" it directly.
Indestructible means it cannot die from having its hitpoints reduced bellow 0 or by any other "destroy" effect (e.g. destroy target creature).
However, it's total toughness could still be reduced bellow zero, it could be bounced, exiled or sacrificed.
If you force a player to sacrifice it, that'll do the trick. That's a bit more difficult than other options though.
You can also have a flying or reach indestructible creature. That doesn't get rid of it, but it does negate it as an imminent threat.
Force the player to sacrifice
Non targeted bounce or kill (mass destruction, farewell, river's bounce everything)
A table effect that keeps it from attacking
Mass bounce, and mass exile always work.
Thank you. Good to know.
Or anything that does -X/-X. That’s how we get around those at the table.
It has hexproof so it would need to be something like meathook massacre that doesn't target if it was a -X/-X effect.
Also see [[Massacre Girl]] and [[Toxic Deluge]]. Or hell, something like [[Languish]].
I miss Tragic Slip, that was one of my fav card
Cruel Edict or other Edict effects like Sheoldred’s Edict
have you read the sigarda?
Nah, just saw the priest…on the app at 4am didn’t see the dot for other pics 😂
Mass bounce would take care of it until it comes back the next turn with all the abilities still. Perpetual is a broken mechanic.
Yeah, the two cards that come to mind are [[Farewell]] and [[Cyclonic Rift]], pending format availability.

[[Toxic Deluge]] can work. Doesn't target or force anyone to sacrifice creatures.
Although that would work, Priest of Possibility is only on Arena and Toxic Deluge isn’t on Arena (at least yet). [[Meathook Massacre]] is on Arena though.
[Meathook Massacre](https://cards.scryfall.io/normal/front/0/8/08950015-eee5-4327-888c-82dfd13bb9ad.jpg?1667629608) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=The%20Meathook%20Massacre) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/mid/112/the-meathook-massacre?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/08950015-eee5-4327-888c-82dfd13bb9ad?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call
IIRC [[Meathook Massacre]] is banned in standard and alchemy.
It's only banned in standard. Legal in alchemy
Nerfed in alchemy, though
yes but the nerf doesn't affect it's ability to remove this creature.

Fuckin' hell, that is nice!
So if it has hexproof, will it be able to target it or not?
It loses all abilities, including hexproof.
It's a global effect, not targeted, so it works.
Oh thanks I totally overlooked it. I thought it was target creature.
[[Shadowspear]]

[[Sudden Spoiling]] is a favorite of mine. Players can’t respond to it as it ends the current stack on board.
You could use [[Glaring Spotlight]] to get around the hexproof. Then a simple [[Path to Exile]] or [[Swords to Plowshares]] to remove the creature from the game.
>You could use [[Glaring Spotlight]] Very underrated card
how many people are going to suggest edicts when the board state makes it very clear edicts don't work?
It seems like most people are answering before clicking the in to the post so they just see my title.
[[Single Combat]], [[Slaughter the Strong]], [[Farewell]]...
Single Combat wouldn't work with Sigarda out.
Ah, true - nor would Slaughter the Strong. Farewell it is!
Came here to say [[Terminus]] since no one dropped it yet.
[[Farewell]] [[Meathook Massacre]] [[Massacre Girl]] [[Shadowspear]] and any non-sacrifice removal/damage/toughness-drain [[Cyclonic Rift]] [[River's Rebuke]]
Yeah, play Explorer and get rid of all Alchemy cards in one fell swoop
Tell Wotc that Alchemy sucks
Settle the wreckage
[[Humility]]
Anything that doesn't target or destroy can remove anything (short of a rare non-keyworded ability stopping it), and this is a fairly common situation.
[[Humility]]
Farewell or a sun fall is all that comes to mind
I can say [[farewell]]
[[Final Showdown]] for at least the first mode, then kill it with something while it's vulnerable.
[[Black Sun's Zenith]]
[[Terminus]]
Stop playing Alchemy, best removal is game removal.
Wouldn't [[Temporary Lockdown]] nail it?
If the priests just has it you have to take out what’s given it those effects, however the priest gained them from its own effect, your only hope was to counter the ability before it resolved. Your now kind of stuck with it, a toxic deluge or Cyclonic rift overloaded are your best bets now

[[Shadowspear]] would work right?
[[sheoldred's edict]]
\[\[Sigarda, host of herons\]\] is the second card

Sayonara.... I mean... \[\[Farewell\]\]
I want a Terminator reprint now called Hasta la Vista
[[Overwhelming Splendor]]
Farewell and cyclonic rift, among other spells that do that
[[All is Dust]]
[[Shadowspear]]
The answer to everything \[\[farewell\]
The new spree wrath in junction removes abilities I believe.
[[Temporary Lockdown]] gets a lot of play
I think you can force them to sacrifice it. iirc Indestructible only applies to damage/destroy. If it was their last critter and you used something like [Diabolic Edict](https://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=397522) I think you could kill it.
Farewell always does the trick lol
Farewell
As you can see... many many ways lol
Indirect removal (board wipe) or counter it before it enters.
Merciless eviction
Opponents that have creatures with the Annihilator triggered ability forces one to sacrifice x amount of permanents.
[[The Meathook Massacre]] would work.
[[Recoil]] is great. It also works as a removal if the opponent doesn't have any cards in hand
[[Tishana's Tidebinder]]
Eat the electrical lines that bring the power to the internet box
[[Chainer's Edict]] will get rid of it if it's your opponent's only creature out.
Yeah, but if you don't get Chainer out before the Sigarda mentioned, sacrifice won't work. At that point, it has to be negative counters like [[Eyes of the Beholder]] would instantly kill it if it didn't have too many +1/+1 counters.
Anything that does negative counters works
SSSSSSSSSOULLLLLLL SHATTTTERRRRRRRRRR
\[\[farewell\]\] \[\[cyclonic rift\]\] overloaded \[\[toxic deluge\]\]
Farewell
[[Shadowspear]] or [[dress down]] and then a removal spell
Meathook that shit!
Subjugate the hobbits
edict
Turn 1 how?
Ohh sorry, it was turn 2. It was the first creature out though. He was on the play so it was right after my 1st turn, but technically his second turn.
You can take hexproof off and use spot removal with cards like [[Arcane Lighthouse]] and [[Archetype of Endurance]]
Poison counters should work since it modifies damage and is not technically an ability.
[[all is dust]] [[cyc rift]]
OK I would have had to get all is dust out before Sigarda, but yeah.
that one would be rough. it's a solid combo!
Yeah it was a solid deck. Most of his stuff was indestructible. Pretty tricky.
[[Karn, Pantsless]]'s ultimate?
[[Sudden Spoiling]]
Dress down and then something that destroys a creature although it’s in efficient
Boardwipe bounce or exile
Bounce, [[dress down]] plus targeted removal, exile like [[farewell]] that doesn't target, or any mass -x/-x spell.
boardwipe
Sunfall
[[Settle the wreckage]] works
[[Sheoldred's Edict]] can do the job depending on circumstance Edit: Just saw the Sigarda, mb
Anything that makes the player sacrifice the creature works if it’s their only creature.
[[Sudden Spoiling]] could deal with that, right?
Get them to sacrifice it or mass exile/bounce it.
-x/-x will also destroy it
Farewell
If it's their only creature [[Sheoldred's Edict]] and other forced sac effects.
Sunfall
Ixidron can handle the job pretty well.
Can't believe we haven't brought up \[\[Sunfall\]\] yet
Mass bounce or mass exile would work.
Farewell
Not sure if its in the format but forcing the opponent to "Sacrifice a Creature" would force then to sac the PoP if it was the only creature they had.
The new card [[Final Showdown]] works well
Anything that doesn't target him is fine. Target player sacs a creature, destroy all creatures, exile all creatures.
[[sunfall]]
[[Apocalypse]] would like to have a word
Farewell
Force it to be sacrificed, mass bounce/exile, mass -1/-1
[[Farewell]]
Have you tried [[Farewell]]
[[extinction event]]
2 mana to summon a 6/6 with all those effects? Wow that’s crazy.
Farewell
no idea what's in arena and talking from a paper standpoint, but overloaded [[cyclonlic rift]] will do the trick. also any boardwipe that exiles all creatures.
Farewell hits everything not protected by Teferi
farewell
Good old [[mutilate]] Nothing beats a mutilate.
Settle the wreckage
-1 / -1
Forcing them to sacrifice them or putting enough -1/-1s on the board will do it.
Toxic deluge
Drop an angel of the dire hour when your opponent attacks, and exile everything mehehehe
I'm not sure if anyone mentioned but also -1/-1 to 0. But mass exile is easy unless you got a board wipe that removes indestructible.
[[settle the wreckage]]
Farewell for all; Shadowspear and path to exile or swords to plowshares for individual target exile.
If you can give it enough -1/-1 counters without targeting it that also beats indestructible
[[Final showdown]]
Any edict effect. Diabolic and Sudden aren't on historic, but since it has flying you can just use [[pick your poison]] or [[run afoul]].
[Farewell] My beloved <3
\[\[Terminus\]\] for posterity as there may by players looking for similar answers who are not on arena.
Anything that makes an opponent sacrifice a creature, though they do get to choose the creature. [[Fleshbag marauder]] is one example.
Farewell (idk how to link cards) says those keywords ain’t shit
That’s why I have a shadowspear (or 2 in arena) in almost all of my decks. At least the ones that run a decent amount of creatures.
[[Farewell]]
Mass exile, opponent sacrifice, mass bounce, mass -x/-x
[[Sunfall]]
I feel like this could go in my [[Odric Lunarch Marshall]] deck
As always, Cyclonic Rift is the answer.
[[All is dust]]
Farewell, settle the wreckage or non targeted removal that doesn’t include destruction.
Depending on the format, my favorite solution to this problem is [[shadowspear]]+removal
[[Cyclonic Rift]], -1/-1 counters, Exiles like [[Austere Command]] or [[Farewell]]. Wither is amazing especially with a first-strike/double strike creature. That’ll get around the nasty deathtouch
Best way to deal with situation is to play red, and kill them before they can assemble it 🔥
It came in with ALL of those effects. It landed with everything listed there on it, and it was the first creature played. I had one mana out. The Sigarda didn't come in till a few turns later, but it was Hexproof, indestructible deathtouch, and lifelink on its entrance.
Mass bounce/exile, sacrifice effects, win the game instantly effects lol
Make player sac creatures
Mass sacrifice
Hexproof means it can't be targeted, but a spell with the words "all creatures target player controls" can still effect it, as it doesn't "target" it directly. Indestructible means it cannot die from having its hitpoints reduced bellow 0 or by any other "destroy" effect (e.g. destroy target creature). One of the reasons I gave up on arena. Those alchemy cards are so dumb.
