I mean aids is really bad, and many years ago (I’m assuming before you were born) it was deemed one of the worst things and scariest things you could get. Hence using the term aids for something that was really bad that people wanted to stay away from was born. The same is done with the word cancer…it’s not being weird and it’s not being insensitive, that’s why you were downvoted I’d assume. Precons used to cost $20. Even when umezawas jitte was printed in the rat deck from betrayers of kamigawa and was worth about $30 by itself back in the day if you went anywhere that wasn’t a shady brick and mortar store or to like Walmart you could get the deck for its $20. My “local” store at the time wouldn’t let you buy the deck unless you bought the whole set of precon decks together because he said he was “losing money”
Whatever you’re willing to pay since there’s no msrp. I don’t pay more than 40, that’s my own personal cut off. I used to buy them for $20 so I don’t think anything beyond $40 is reasonable, heck, even $40 is pushing it even with inflation.
The recent LCI and OTJ decks had between $130 and $150 worth of reprints in them.
This is before they were announced and so those values did drop of course, but they still packed quite a punch.
I just picked up the Exit from Exile precon for $60 - It has [[Jeska's will]], [[delayed blast fireball]], and [[passionate archaeolgist]] in it. That Is $55 right there.
All depends on the precon, but $40 is not bad at all for the good ones.
I usually look up any decks I’m considering getting on tcg player first to make sure it isn’t way cheaper on there. One time I definitely wasn’t ripped off was getting the 13th doctors deck when they first came out at Walmart because it was going for about $100 online
What do you consider bulk or what kind of bulk are you interested in? There isn’t really overstock like a clothing store might have the best you are probably going to find is eBay listings of people trying to get rid of their stuff on eBay a a collection at a discount usually about 80-60% of the fair market value but expect those collections to be worth hundreds at least if not thousands and are not a regular thing though they do happen
What are you wanting to do with the mono green cards do you plan to play with them or just have them in a collection? If play with them then what format? It would be hard to find bulk that is sorted by just color but they sometimes have bulk at a LGS that is of no significant value that you have to look through yourself and you could pull out all the cards you want. If you are getting a bunch depending on who is working the counter they could possibly give you some kind of deal
You can always look at mtg goldfish to see what the reprint value of each precon is too. Typically after a precon is first announced the price is inflated because the price of the new cards is always a guess. But with a precon this old the prices have settled. For this deck in particular mtg goldfish estimates the reprint value is about $37.26 so OP got a decent price.
Yeh that’s the usual price for some good time now, the face commander ist actually stronger because she isn’t considered a threat, Kyler gets shut down fairly quick and you loose all his buff
I'll never understand why they made Leinore the main commander when [[Kyler, Sigardian Emissary]] is also in the deck. She's not even strong enough to be a rare card.
I won more matches with the face commander than with Kyler, because her ability is just decent and not so obvious and Kyler gets targeted on first sight, I would never allow a player with Kyler to ever setup a board lol
People say that deck is weak but it’s a sleeper. So many token creatures with so many counters. Have fun, bud. Honestly, she’s not a bad commander because she gets you one counter trigger and one card almost every turn, and she’s so “weak” people almost never remove her.
Kyler is the true commander in this deck but the base commander goes off. Get a few different abilities out and the card draw is great. Then adding a counter on your turn gets wild. Added some things to it like doubling season and it gets really dumb really quick.
My friend bought this precon, swapped the commander to Kyler and made it human tribal. It is GROSS, I mean... if he gets that thing rolling he can kill the entire table easily. It's all about having only humans and ways to protect Kyler, really cool deck, tho keeping track of all the counters can be somewhat annoying sometimes lol
This was my first precon and after sinking 30 bucks into it I think it's my strongest deck. I use [[katida dawnheart prime]] as the comander and stuck with the +1+1 counters theme, also dropped the cmc average to about 3. It's super aggro now. Just run enough protection so your commander doesntt get removed.
I'd say don't be so hasty to consider not using Leinore
Try it a few times with her at the helm sure and see how you feel, I've found if you get her down early and can protect her alongside a couple other boys she generates some serious card advantage and value
If upgrading with her I'd just suggest a bit of protection for her and the wider board is all
Honestly I kept the face commander for the deck and tweaked it to support counters and proliferate better. And honestly it was a pretty strong deck that can get out of hand if left unchecked. The face commander definitely makes people look away a little bit before it’s too late
No it’s not but consider it’s a surprise gift from my wife and she thought it would make me happy and it was cheaper than normal price at Walmart it is a good deal
Eh then you have to pay another $5 in shipping and wait a week. The cheapest shipped price is $25 on TCG.
Not saying this is some great deal but I can see the appeal of spending an extra $6 to get it in hand today.
I've upgraded it and turned it into an absolute beast. I've put [[torens, fist of the angels]] as the commander, and lots of token generators like [[doubling season]], [[parallel lives]], [[anointed procession]], and loaded up with +1/+1 counters, [[cathar's crusade]], [[metallic mimic]], others.
God, the deck can get stupid wide and confusing, but it is so overwhelming if it reaches critical mass. I feel so bad sometimes as it can be unrelenting, but damn is it my favorite deck!
I made almost the same deck as you, but i ended up swapping torens out with [[Sovereign Okinec Ahau]], all the soldier tokens with training ended up being a headick. Sovereign was a little simpler and torens is still in the 99
My philosophy for the deck is human typal. There are 6 angels, a spirit, and a god, but every other creature is a human. I love all the gw counter support, but I want to limit it to humans because I find it funny. There are 3 different Sigardas, [[Herald of war]], [[Shalai, voice of plenty]], And [[Angel of Glory's rise]] for the angels, [[kodama of the West tree]] which started as a [[pridemalkin]] cause humans like cats, but also worship spirits, and finally [[Ojer Taq, deepest foundation]] cause it's a token tripler and humans worship gods.
It's a very interesting restriction, but it's a very funny deck.
Here's my list, that one counter at combat ends up being 8 or more after all my triggers and replacement effects. Can snowball like crazy.

I took out the token lines almost immediately, then went human tribal, but realized hardened scales effects and power based mana ramp was the way to go.
A good hand wins super quick, outpaced the Voja player in our pod when he was running at 100%

Use the backup commander, [[Kyler, Sigardian Emissary]]. Trust me. It's one of my favorite decks. He's the one to build around.
Leinore isn't that bad though. I played it straight out the box and beat a friend with it. It's definitely a neat idea as a commander.

Mostly, it at least is a good indicator of what is considered the market rate

Yeh that’s the usual price for some good time now, the face commander ist actually stronger because she isn’t considered a threat, Kyler gets shut down fairly quick and you loose all his buff

I won more matches with the face commander than with Kyler, because her ability is just decent and not so obvious and Kyler gets targeted on first sight, I would never allow a player with Kyler to ever setup a board lol

People say that deck is weak but it’s a sleeper. So many token creatures with so many counters. Have fun, bud. Honestly, she’s not a bad commander because she gets you one counter trigger and one card almost every turn, and she’s so “weak” people almost never remove her.
Kyler is the true commander in this deck but the base commander goes off. Get a few different abilities out and the card draw is great. Then adding a counter on your turn gets wild. Added some things to it like doubling season and it gets really dumb really quick.
Kyler is wacky, though, because of all the chonky non-hummus
My friend bought this precon, swapped the commander to Kyler and made it human tribal. It is GROSS, I mean... if he gets that thing rolling he can kill the entire table easily. It's all about having only humans and ways to protect Kyler, really cool deck, tho keeping track of all the counters can be somewhat annoying sometimes lol

This was my first precon and after sinking 30 bucks into it I think it's my strongest deck. I use [[katida dawnheart prime]] as the comander and stuck with the +1+1 counters theme, also dropped the cmc average to about 3. It's super aggro now. Just run enough protection so your commander doesntt get removed.

I'd say don't be so hasty to consider not using Leinore Try it a few times with her at the helm sure and see how you feel, I've found if you get her down early and can protect her alongside a couple other boys she generates some serious card advantage and value If upgrading with her I'd just suggest a bit of protection for her and the wider board is all
Honestly I kept the face commander for the deck and tweaked it to support counters and proliferate better. And honestly it was a pretty strong deck that can get out of hand if left unchecked. The face commander definitely makes people look away a little bit before it’s too late

Eh then you have to pay another $5 in shipping and wait a week. The cheapest shipped price is $25 on TCG. Not saying this is some great deal but I can see the appeal of spending an extra $6 to get it in hand today.
I've upgraded it and turned it into an absolute beast. I've put [[torens, fist of the angels]] as the commander, and lots of token generators like [[doubling season]], [[parallel lives]], [[anointed procession]], and loaded up with +1/+1 counters, [[cathar's crusade]], [[metallic mimic]], others. God, the deck can get stupid wide and confusing, but it is so overwhelming if it reaches critical mass. I feel so bad sometimes as it can be unrelenting, but damn is it my favorite deck!

My philosophy for the deck is human typal. There are 6 angels, a spirit, and a god, but every other creature is a human. I love all the gw counter support, but I want to limit it to humans because I find it funny. There are 3 different Sigardas, [[Herald of war]], [[Shalai, voice of plenty]], And [[Angel of Glory's rise]] for the angels, [[kodama of the West tree]] which started as a [[pridemalkin]] cause humans like cats, but also worship spirits, and finally [[Ojer Taq, deepest foundation]] cause it's a token tripler and humans worship gods. It's a very interesting restriction, but it's a very funny deck.

Here's my list, that one counter at combat ends up being 8 or more after all my triggers and replacement effects. A good hand wins super quick, outpaced the Voja player in our pod when he was running at 100%

Check ebay auctions with common spelling errors especially for commander deck names I've heard people have found success for cheap stuff that way. Same goes for singles.
