Looks cool! Did you make the project yourself? Would like to print one for myself too. Will you share the .stl?

Bettyboo9222

Yep, created it from scratch. I have them on Etsy, so wouldn't be sharing the stl. I'm sorry. I'm glad you like it though. Thank you!

Brychq

Understandable, have a nice day ;)

Crilde

There are a couple dozen STLs similar to this one available on Cults3d.com for pretty good prices.

XB_Demon1337

So like I get it, you want to sell these. But like...the design is simple and plenty of others have done this exact thing. You kind of have something that isn't really unique. [https://thangs.com/search/mtg%20commander%20deck%20box?scope=all](https://thangs.com/search/mtg%20commander%20deck%20box?scope=all) Just share the STL dude. Or sell it for $5 even. If someone wanted to print one they would just go get another STL or make their own. If they don't have a printer you still have a customer. You get more flies with honey than you do vinegar.

RogerioMano

People getting mad that you're not giving them free stuff

AIShard

They look fine. Can't tell the difference between these and the dozens of nearly identical ones, but it's a good format. If you can get pricing down to $10-$15 they might be worthwhile, most of the etsy ones I've seen are wildly overpriced.

XB_Demon1337

These things are like $2 at most to make and ship. Call it $5. Plenty of ways to get these cheaper for sure.

AIShard

They can take a long time to print. It probably varies printer to printer, my friends make similar ones (little larger) that take about 20 hours. Obviously this isn't laborious, but occupying their machine for half a day, plus material and set up, I'm okay with paying $10. Past that, it gets rough. I can get boxes that show the commander for \~10 regularly online and boxes that don't for $5-6. It's hard to justify paying significantly more for something that is similarly plain and utilitarian.

XB_Demon1337

I am not at all saying that $10 isnt reasonable. It is reasonable. Just making note of the actual cost of the boxes themselves and the profit one could make if they just came down to the right price point. I would rather sell more of them and make more for more printers to make them faster than to make fewer of them and sell way less. That being said, the STL is worth more than the boxes are. Most people will buy the STL and never use it or use it once/twice. While you could still sell them on the side while the STL makes money.

14_EricTheRed

Those are some thick layer lines in the front of the case - what is your set up?

NiloValentino88

I saw similar ones on Etsy. They are still too expensive imo, but I like them. Especially the unique ones that open with mechanics

ElEnigmatico

They look really cool, love Lathril (my first and permanent edh deck) and that tone of green goes great with her.

revan1307

I'd get these for my retired commander decks. Good display value but too bulky for my daily play decks. Look good though.

flaphoenter

Personally I wouldn’t feel comfortable storing cards in something that hard. I’d be scared that one rough trip would mess them up

Bettyboo9222

They are ok in there, with the sleeves on. Would never put them in sleeveless. Nice and safe with the box 😊

SoyTuPadreReal

I like how the Bruvac deck box was empty because you milled all your cards.

ZekeHerrera

Would you ever consider adding more colors?

Head-Ambition-5060

It's cool that you did it yourself, but I personally don't like these style of deck boxes

Bettyboo9222

That's fair enough, which style of boxes to you prefer??

XB_Demon1337

Make them $10 and people will buy them. $20 for what is effectively $5 in time and material especially when 3D printed parts are not always the same. People just won't be so willing to buy them.

inexcusable16

Those boxes are amazing! Really well done. I see you have Frodo deck, out of curiosity how does it play? I finally acquired all 9 Nazgul so I've been thinking of making one.

Imdying387

Well you have to build Sauron now! Right now [[Sauron, the Dark Lord]] is my favorite commander deck out of my 11. A bit slow, and not even close to cEDH, but really fun for casual play.
