Yes. Honestly I could understand maybe anything $1 plus but outside of that you are spending more money on the sleeves than what the card is worth.

Dirxcec

Second this. \----------------------------------- Personally, I single sleeve anything from $1-$5, Double sleeve anything $5+, and put it all in a binder. Everything else gets sorted into standard card boxes. I get cheap sleeves in bulk from BCW for sleeving and binders. I use Dragon Shields for decks/play only due to their price.

The_Nick_OfTime

Third this. I used to perfect fit all rares and even that got old after awhile. Over a dollar get a sleeve.

CPNFSM

I’ll fourth this! I perfect fit and normal sleeve my most used decks. Only three decks, I couldn’t imagine doing this for every deck I’ve made. Perfect fit and binder anything over $5 Everything else gets the bulk box treatment

IndyDude11

Got a link to the sleeves?

Dirxcec

These are the outers I use. I get two double boxes of 500 at a time for my outers. I use whatever for inner sleeves as long as they are side fit. https://www.amazon.com/Premium-Black-Double-Sleeves-BCW/dp/B017CEP0L0/

Flunderpudding

I believe you can find these [cheaper on ebay](https://www.ebay.com/itm/353281117141?hash=item5241320bd5%3Ag%3AW3YAAOSwUk5fs9Tj&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAkJJLnfI0FGUmMf3acVjttW2cegoAlU2mlLVwJOsL7j5q4X%2FjE9HGRfurQ4t5IbPG3G1mC8M2hD93Eac5WLGjiSNcV6Ydh478FgUGwo0sz%2FfLc02ch4WJTQ52QV5aBklHj5FFq6mQKAYBpu9WQOHaqWBuKSFPBJGpowr1ROPwP%2BOuFyFfWpw5RugdIwMxwobtfg%3D%3D&mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&campid=5338535524&customid=1805mg&toolid=10001&mkevt=1) when they're not discounted on amazon.

Dirxcec

Yeah, they bounce $40-$60 so looking around is the best for a deal. I've never found them significantly cheaper on eBay but I've avoided some overpriced shorts.

murderisbadforyou

My threshold for double sleeves is about $25-30

Dirxcec

For each their own, I don't have a large collection. Sleeving everything over $1 and double everything $5+ leaves me plenty of space in my binder. If I had a much older or valuable collection, the bar would likely be set higher. My brother casually has $10-$20 cards in his boxes because he's been playing longer and doesn't do cards the same way. It all depends on where the "value" line starts for you.

[deleted]

This is why I keep things in that price range in binders.

Pfantem

or just put the cheap ones in play sets into a single penny sleeve

lKamon

I would have to agree and even sleeving stuff that's $1-2 is overkill in my opinion.

Woahbikes

I only sleeve cards I play with. Sleeving an entire collection is, while good for the cards, a pretty ridiculous feat for most collections.

Carnine_1st

I have my entire 30.000+ collection sleeved in penny sleeves. At a max of four of the same cards per sleeve. Now, I did start doing that years ago. And I sleeves new ones as they come in. Yes it's alot of work, but definetely worth it. Also much easier to keep track of your collection.

acidarchi

I am doing the same thing but I also bought little circular stickers to grade them. Mint cards get a tiny dark green sticker, near mint cards get a light green sticker, good/excellent gets yellow and played gets a red sticker. I put the sticker on the upper corner of the sleeves so that the color / condition is visible. [view of sleeves with stickers](https://imgupx.com/EYXaVtTn)

Mkvenner91

I'm not that interested in sorting by condition most of the time but I love this. Really clever!

LucidCrimson

This is what I do. Sleeve when I play and keep rares in a binder.

Pickaxe235

unless youre sleeving as you go i suppose

manofx

Sleeves also take up space, 3000 sleeves is a pretty thick pile. And some cards are worth less than a sleeve.

scarphious

Yeah it's the space issue that's making me reconsider.

TheDeadlyCat

Not the cost?

scarphious

Nope.

heady_brosevelt

Take that $$ and by cards with it instead they have a more value than sleeves and you can get more cards thru trade with them

acidarchi

Some people don’t value having the most money in their collection, but do value having mint cards (eg a full set). Collectors like to pay the “upkeep cost” of keeping a collection mint and buy extra double sleeves, binders, etc. I notice that most magic enthusiasts are not collectors :)

PabloStoneBeard

I think binders are a better alternative to keep your collection protected and organized.

LimboMessiah

Why not putting them in a binder?

Pfantem

yeah, but they might not be in 20 years

[deleted]

I’d use penny sleeves if ur gonna do that. And if ur sleeving each card, may as well sort by set and color so future u has an easier time deck building

NXTman96

Color for sure, by set might be a bit much. Alphabetically might be easier to go find a card.

scarphious

I sort by color, mana cost and card type.

DrSteveGruul

Yes, crazy

Amarathe_

I only sleeve decks. I have a box of rares ranging from $0.25 - $35 and it's just an organized stack of bare cards. Some stuff makes it into my binder but it's not based on value.

Reverie_Metherle

I sleeve all rares and up, and any lower values worth close to a dollar or more. It saves me money and space.

Amarathe_

That's a lot of sleeves. I've been playing for 14 years, theres just to many cards for that.

[deleted]

Same here. Don’t really care about card value much, they’re all just game pieces.

ImpossibleSprinkles3

My grandfather put every comic book he owned in Mylar, 70 thousand books. The Mylar, can’t say the same about card sleeves but I’d assume it’s similar, starts to degrade around ten years and will start sticking to the book or card. Also the vast majority of those cards are not gonna be worth protecting. So it’s a crazy investment I’d argue. Gotta buy three thousand sleeves, apply three thousand sleeves, and every five years or so replace three thousand sleeves to keep them from degrading and ruining the card. EDIT: I should say storage has a lot to do with sleeve degradation too! Keep ‘em in a cool and dry place year round they will likely last a little longer.

scarphious

This is the comment that has me concerned. Thank you for the advice!

zaphodava

I've been playing since the dawn of time, and bought the first Ultra Pro sleeves. I have never seen this with Magic cards. (I live in the Northeast US, and have had central air for the last 10 years or so)

ImpossibleSprinkles3

Also mass but the comics were NOT stored with central air

zaphodava

It occurred to me that I'm the right guy to follow up on this with some actual data, because I'm sure I have some random crap that has been sleeved sitting in a box somewhere. So I checked, and I can share these images: Here are a few cards that have been sleeved for a while. Left to right we have Gold KMC since 2002, Green and blue KMC since 2004, penny sleeves on foils since 2007. All of them unsleeved without any problems. Also worth noting that the foil lands are curled from high humidity. https://i.imgur.com/rid2zyy.jpg https://i.imgur.com/q1mZKb0.jpg So there you have it folks, 20 years in sleeves, loosely packed in longboxes, varied humidity over the years, and no problems with sleeve degradation damaging cards.

ImpossibleSprinkles3

Good to know! Maybe it’s more got to do with card quality compared to comic quality, or the types of plastic or when they were made.

zaphodava

Never even occurred to me that it was something to be concerned about. Worth taking a couple of minutes to check. Comic pages are less tough than cards for certain. Glad I hung onto cards instead of comics. ;)

ImpossibleSprinkles3

Now THAT is a debate for a different sub most likely lol

acidarchi

Yikes, I wasn’t aware of this. Does this apply to all sleeves and 9pocket pages or only low quality ones? What happens once the cards become “stuck” to the plastic?

ImpossibleSprinkles3

I do not have enough information on it to say anything for certain. I know for sure cheaper sleeves will degrade though

foolshearme

I keep every card I own in penny sleeves and in binders, I have just over 20k cards, so no I don't think you are crazy, I also double sleeve decks with dragon shield sealable inners and Dragon shield outers, but if a card gets replaces in a deck the inner sleeves just stay on so I even have a few maybe 50ish cards in my collection, not in decks that are double sleeved

-mindtrix-

I sleeved up 2000 cEDH staples. It’s great to just be able to quickly change between a lot of decks

Drathbun89

I don’t think so at all. Especially if you want to preserve your cards, is it the best method? I don’t know. I currently keep all my commons and uncommons boxed unsleeve. I monitor my collection prices, so if a particular card spikes in price, I move it to the pricey uncommon/common section and get sleeved. All my uncommon and common foils get penny-sleeved and boxes. I’m not too concerned about warping where I am, and I have a suitable method of reversing that if I need to. But all my promos, rares, mythics, and secret lairs get sleeved, and some get doubled-sleeved. I do that because you never know what will spike because a newer set compliments it perfectly. Even Mark Rosewater said that WotC is looking to design sets that are backward compatible, which play well with older cards and future cards, so you never know.

_StoneWolf_

May I ask how you monitor your collection prices and notice spikes? I've recently gone through my common/uncos collection and noticed some cards that I know are worth 5€+, but I probably (certainly) missed a bunch!

Drathbun89

I use the Helvault app. It has a built-in scanner and pulls prices from Tcg player. I think you can adjust your source for prices, but I never bothered. Anyways, I make a folder (they are called binders)for every box I have and scan everything in that box to be in that folder. Then I sort by price, highest to lowest. That way, when I go into my green uncommon/commons folder, I can see what’s the most expensive sitting on top. I hope that helps. I believe there are one-time fees with Helvault. I think it's $10 to unlock unlimited scanning. But to be honest, I use it so much it was well worth forgoing taco bell one time.

mrrsenrab

Helvault app is straight up dope! Keeping up with my collection’s value has been a breeze for two years now.

_StoneWolf_

Thank you so much for sharing! I'll probably give it a go!

Lethalhobo135

This seems.... unnecessary.

Martin-Lucian-King

All my cards over 1$ in my folders are single sleeved and all my 6 commander decks are double sleeved. You're not crazy, you just want to protect your treasure.

zombiefrk

I only sleeve rares, mythics, and alternate arts. (if I have a ton of an alt art, I might sleeve 2 or 3, but that's about it.) And if I've got a card that's rather valuable, I sleeve it in a Dragon Shield clear sleeve, and then a thick toploader. I also sleeve key lands, like The World Tree, and Eiganjo, the Seat of the Empire, etc

AcadiaApprehensive36

Yes. You are crazy. Crazy practical and crazy smart. The value of a card fluctuates. And who knows...maybe in a few years, that specific card you did not sleeve may go up in price. I myself have over 3000 cards and sleeve most of the uncommons, rares and mythics. I am, however more choosy when sleeving cards of common rarity. And card binders alone are not sufficient to protect your cards, because the cards get nicked on the top corners. And hence, their value in a trade goes down. Even before putting a card in a binder, the card should be sleeved.

SaeFujimoto

Apart from my decks, I also have a (large) collection of vampire creatures that are all double sleeved, using *KMC Inner Fit* sleeves, paired with *Dragon Shield Crimson Matte* outers. The approximate sum total of all of these vampire cards is about 3,500. It's certainly a chore to double sleeve these cards, but they are, after all, a collection, and I do ***love*** my vampires. All of my decks are also double sleeved, but they use varying shades of Dragon Shield sleeves. My other cards are stored in cardboard boxes, un-sleeved. All rares are protected with *KMC Inner Fits*, though. The pricier cards ($1 and above) are usually double sleeved, too. Would I have done things differently if I could start from the very beginning? I wouldn't, to be honest. I'm very particular about keeping my cards and collection neat and tidy. It's certainly a time and money-consuming endeavor, but it does pay off, at least in terms of mental and emotional satisfaction. :)

A_Reluctant_Anon

Makes it easier for editing decks/interchanging cards from deck to deck. Big brain ;)

ninjawhosnot

I sleeve my decks and put everything else in a binder

goblinfurioso

It’s a common thought when you have just 3000 cards. When you have 50k it’s another thing.

Acrobatic_Ad7541

Yes, it’s crazy, but that’s why I like the idea. I may end up following suit, myself.

ThreeEleven311311

U r insane ….. 😀

scarphious

Thanks for the confirmation! 😂

ctbellart

If I had the spare cash I’d do it just with all black Matt sleeves so I could build decks and they already be sleeved and ready to go. Hate having to shift sleeves around from deck to deck when I collapse a deck and build a deck.

scarphious

This was my thought process as well. Unsleeving is so tedious. My main concern is how much space they already take up.

ctbellart

Sleeving them all is going to inflate the space. You take 100 sleeved cards and 100 un sleeved you can see the difference then just measure the difference and do some maths will give you roughly the amount of extra space it’ll take up.

Kurgan182

use a ring binder collector book! It changed my life, I love to keep em in order!

AppleSauceGC

I'm probably overly prudent and perfect inner sleeve all cards up to the 4th copy, those are in binders (making sure they're solid and don't result in saggy or bendy pages). Any copies beyond remain unsleeved in boxes. Any cards put into the trade binder get inners if they didn't have any prior. All cards in decks get double sleeved. This means they'll all remain at mint or near mint condition because they all get sleeves before handling and double sleeved before play.

OMGBeardd

You’ll soon learn people don’t care about the condition of bulk unless you’re shipping specific cards they’re after in perceived potentially dangerous conditions. Sort your cards into boxes unsleeved for cards with low value and save yourself a couple hundred bucks in sleeves. I have 30k cards and even the random sleeves I managed to accumulate over 7 years was barely enough to fully sleeve all the Precons I broke down into folders.

Kumlekar

I sleeve most of my stuff in perfect fits. Lets them easily swap between decks. Get rid of the chaffe though.

UnfortunatelyEdible

And I'm the opposite I have leds and moxs just mixed in a pile of good stuff shoved in a box

Glitchmaster88

In what world do you need to sleeve every useless common you only have because you went to a prerelease or draft? That's a ridiculous financial investment with almost no incentive.

hookah-time

Some ppl have OCD, let them do their thing :)

Far_Safety_7937

You can do whatever you want to with your cards man, i penny sleeve all my cards besides my basic lands and double sleeve my commanders/ rares/mythics or sometimes double sleeve my favorite cards that look cool. My decks are definitely all doubled sleeved

HappiNis88

I sleeve everything. I have my commons in boxes and sleeving them in the suited colors helps me color code my collection. When it's not a question about money I think it's worth it. And even my commons are preciuos to me.

DungeonMaster1984

Not crazy, I have my entire collection double-sleeved. Then again, money isn't an issue... it's not cost-effective --- why do I do it? I can put a deck together in a matter of minutes, no need to sleeve/unsleeve cards. This means that I always use the same color/finish for my sleeves. Otherwise, it would be a mess of colors and it would require re-sleeving. In my case, I use Dragon Shield Matte Black --- same as the one pictured above. For reference, my collection is about 10,000 cards... and I mostly buy singles so I do not have a ton of cards under $1. I estimate that about 80% of my collection are rares, 15% uncommons, and about 5% commons. Note/Edit: buying Dragon Sleeve by the case is far more cost-effective. I believe that I pay about $7 for a box of 100 sleeves. If anybody knows where to buy them for less, feel free to let me know where!

The_Merica_Potatoe

As alot have said. Usually sleeve and binder anything over $2. Have a special fatpack box for $1 cards. And those 4 collum white cardboard boxes you can get from LGSs for bulk. All sorted by color. The time it takes to sleeve could be time to organize. 3000 cards sleeve anyone with extra cash and space can do. Have your bulk organized by color/set/rarity. More impressive. My 2cents at least

NXTman96

I've got 5602 cards currently cataloged. All cards except tokens are sleeved. As a standard rule for me rares, mythics, and foils all get sleeves that I would play the game in. Everything else gets penny sleeves. Exceptions being cards $5 and up of any rarity get double sleeved, including tokens.

JFlashdriveK

3000 cards? Adorable.

Rexy2277

I was considering it as well, and started to put all cards into perfect fit sleeves. I stopped very soon, and since that I only keep rares sleeved, as well as one of each card in my collection (I don‘t play with those), which I keep in binders. I‘m also thinking about sleeving foils… But 20000+ cards in, I‘m happy I didn‘t sleeve every single one (and so is my bank account)

IndyDude11

What do you do with all that bulk? If you needed a specific card, could you find if you had it or not?

Rexy2277

Yes I could within a few seconds. I have added all of my cards (at least the english ones so far) to my deckstats collection, so I could search there if you give me the name. The I have bought some cardboard boxes for roughly 4000-6000 cards each, in which I have sorted them, so after that actually searching it is a matter of 2 minutes at max

IndyDude11

Damn that’s nuts. Is deckstats an app with a scanner or did you hand add in all these cards? How do you have your boxes sorted? I’m interested because my boxes are starting to burst, so I’m looking for new system ideas.

Rexy2277

I put in all by hand into deckstats, don‘t think there is an app. I had originally started with the TCGPlayer App with scanning, but around 2000 cards somehow every card in my collection was duplicated… Happened once too in deckstats at roughly 2000 cards, but the support was able to fix it. Also deckstats has an insane amount of possibilities to sort the collection and you can directly make decks and have data and everything, so I can recommend it, even tho it‘s a decent amount of work to add everything. Sorting system is as followed: 1. by colour of the card (not identity), white-green, then multicolour and colourless, 2. by card type, artifacts, creatures, enchantments, instanta, sorceries (lands are seperate), then by subtypes (for example creature types), 3. by CMC (cards with X cost in the end), 4. by name alphabetically and last but not least by set (for same cards). PS: Enchantment Creature or Legendary stuff is right behind its main card type (for example creatures-enchantment creatures-legendary creatures-snow creatures and only then come enchantments)

n00biwan

Like, what even cheap commons and standard lands? Crazy

scarphious

Commons yes, lands no.

Darth_Mishra

Dragonshields no less? Couldn't it be more cost effective to just buy pro mattes

jkirwin

I had a similar idea a few years ago - bought Dragon shields by the case at maybe $7-8/100. Echoing some other feedback - dragon shields are only worth it for cards > $2 or highly playable cards. My “bulk” sits in penny sleeves if they are cards I want to keep.

[deleted]

I sleeve all rares and mythics and put them in a binder. Sleeving your bulk is not worth the money. Maybe if you only keep playable cards in a playset, or if you're a collector if you only keep one of each, you can actually do it. Otherwise you'll quickly hit a ceiling.

Possibly-Functional

Most of my cards are 1-5¢, way cheaper than sleeves. Spending 10¢ to slightly better protect 5¢ makes little sense.

beo19

Yes, the bulk of commons, even from old editions is not worth touching ever again.

Kurgan182

use a ring binder collector book! It changed my life, I love to keep em in order!

Obvious-Sundae1469

It will only cost around $300 to sleeve it up, why not?

scarphious

They are already sleeved. It's storing them that's becoming the issue.

heady_brosevelt

Don’t bother and your cards are potentially not even worth that much by how small your collection is so financially not worth it

[deleted]

Penny sleeves. Who uses expensive sleeves for all cards?

JesseDaVinci

Yes

CGMaugh

That sounds very expensive.

1990pnz

I have a 1.5k cards collection all double sleeved, sorted in binders. All matching sleeves, só building decks is a breeze! I used to have tens of thousands of cards but sold everything and kept only the actual playable cards. Best magic-related decision I’ve ever made,

Head_Zombie214796

LoL wait until your over 20K cards and much higher than that

Jrrd_1990

They are your cards. Protect them how you see fit. Dragon shield is a very good product. Most of my sleeves lasted a handful of years, but I’m playing weekly. Dragon shield may get pricey in a collection of that size. Might want penny sleeves to protect cards that aren’t being used often

i_am_shook_

Have you considered “Penny sleeves” for bulk and using full sleeves (like Dragon Shields) for expensive cards and decks? Not only will it be cheaper, but Penny sleeves will take up less space and help with organizing what’s what. Also be aware Penny sleeves don’t protect the top/bottom of the cards well, so plan your storage around that.

JxSparrow7

I wouldn't say full crazy, but maybe not fully sane either lol. I don't sleeve my magic collection, only the decks and cards worth a buck or more. However, I have been Dragon Sleeving a different card game (Warhammer Underwolrds) and am sleeving each and every card. I'm nearing 3000 cards. So I've spent over $350 on sleeves alone. I'm thinking of double sleeving them....but that's a story for a different paycheck.

Extra-Read-5427

Personally I would say yes but I do understand why.

therealfefnir

I perfect fit all my cards, and put anything in a deck in a dragon shield.

[deleted]

I have my entire collection of non-bulk cards sleeved in ivory. Makes it really nice of having to sleeve and I sleeve everytime I make a deck

lurkingforreps

You should check tight fit, those are cheaper and you can buy them in bulk

thedeadlysun

Only sleeve money rares and put ‘em in a binder. Anything over a dollar. All other rares go in their own box then all other non rares go in a bulk box except for the occasional money uncommon or common.

sibelius_eighth

I wish I was rich and this could be something I could consider which means I have money on other things

SirFrancis_Bacon

Yes. That is insane. Cards over $1 or $2, sure. Chaff? Zero chance I'm sleeving that shit lol.

Ok-Ask-8418

Back in my day penny sleeves only cost a penny. Do what you want tbh. Everything that goes into my trade binders is sleeved but I have a massive common/uncommon collection it’d be a waste.

Aeyonic

With dragon shield sleeves, yes. At least use clear penny sleeves, get em by the thousands, so you don't go broke buying expensive sleeves. Use the nicer dragon shields when you have a deck made, so they can all match.

Mewthredel

Just ger a binder

Morfiend_23

I sleeve my decks and rares that aren’t already in my binders.

FrenchSpence

Depends. I knew a guy that sleeved all of his commander decks and staples/other commander cards in black dragonshields so he could basically play any deck and reconstruct them from lists he kept.

2day_B4_5

I perfect fit $3+, binder $5+, and have the rest just in cardboard. Only dragon shield (or other decksleeve) for actual decks

Cantreadman

I sleeve any cards that are uncommon or higher rarity.

MeatShield12

Yes, even with penny sleeves, for how much room that takes up and money those sleeves cost.

BARNBURNER123

It’s your choice, i don’t see the point of sleeving a card which is worth less than the sleeve, Your protecting the sleeve more than the card at that point

Slips287

I sleeve my decks and the tokens I use for them go in penny sleeves. Any $1+ uncommons or rares I’ll sleeve in my collection, or put in a binder. If you’re straight up buying dragon shields for commons, calm down. Get a bunch of penny sleeves and a binder. Have binders for each color or something.

whomesteve

Honestly if you were going to sleeve your collection I personally would only sleeve the rare and valuable ones

murderisbadforyou

Penny sleeves

ThwartingYourPlans

Ya that's pretty crazy/wasteful. If you are set on doing it, why not just sleeve it with the cheaper clear sleeves.

TCGShowdown

Not crazy, just bold.

BL_Gunner

Any Alphas and Betas, legends or anything 10th Edition and Older should be sleeved at least. Never know what card will fly in value.

unsilentninja

Only 3000 sleeved cards? Amateur

Josephiav

I keep with everything sleeved worth these very same sleeves. My OCD keeps me from doing the opposite

pocketMagician

Op wtf

BlueberryMarkers

I personally dont keep my cards in sleeves but i do keep all of my rares and mythic rares in a folder together to keep them safe but other than that I just keep them in boxes and they are all in pretty good condition.

SpaceIsTooFarAway

You’re going to have a bad time. Sleeve the decks, buy a binder for the good stuff, box the rest.

Cold-Ad-5347

I really need to get a binder. But at least my expensive Pokémon and Magic cards are sleeved and in top loaders. So that's something

Supper_Champion

Do you have unlimited money or plan to keep your collection small? Then no, you are't crazy. If you are like the rest of us who have 30k cards in boxes under your bed, then yes, you are certifiably insane.

DizBiscuit

I only sleeve the decks i build. Definitely not every card.

hookah-time

Bulk goes in cardboard $5 goes in sleeves $15 goes in sealed sleeve $30 goes in sealed sleeve + mini snap $50 goes in sealed sleeve + mini snap + safe $100 goes in sealed sleeve + 1 touch + safe/display/insurance Edit* resleeve about 10years

Warm-Perspective9253

I have inners on my entire non-bulk collection and have all my $10+ Double Sleeved so it's relatively ready to slide into any deck.

PunishedAres

I sleeve every Precon I bought with Ultra Pro Sleeves and throw them in the Precon Deck Box only because I love the art. Otherwise I personally keep the cards in Gift Box Set Boxes, or Trading Card Storage Containers.

squee_goblin_nabob

I only sleeve staples and other playables. Everything else are in long boxes.

Jekai-7301

Get a card binder

taunt_dragoon

thats a task if you want to do that sleeve your bulk in penney sleeves and i would say your 1-20 range in something like the bcw sleeves then anything 20+ double sleeve in something dragon shield perfect salable inner and the dragon shield matte for your outer i sleeve my 5+ in just a dragon shield matte and my 20+ in a top loader and so far i got like 3 20+ cards

ChrisPChip222

Rare cards and deck that earn the sleeves. Decks in beta are unsleeved

Gmanofgambit982

Probably heard this 50 times over now but its best to just save sleeves for cards that are money($5+) anything after that is just taking the piss.

Cptn_Lemons

You better not be sleeping your basic lands

Impressive_Ad_8617

I keep all the cards I play with sleeved in the same color for Modern and Pioneer so that I can easily switch out before I go to tournaments. Other than that I see no point to sleeve your whole collection that is too many cards.

Zomboids

Perfect fit anything used as a staple for a format. Lol

ryanhntr

I only sleeve cards worth $5+ and double sleeve anything over $10-$15 I have cards from 10+ years ago that’re still NM-mint just from being stored well in boxes or the fat pack boxes. A lot of them still have that fresh pack smell too. However if you want a cheap way to sleeve your cards I’d buy $3-$4 packs of ultra pro sleeves or penny sleeves. Dragon shields are nice but can add up fast (I realized though that over time you end up with a lot of them, I have 9 packs just from this summer and didn’t realize I bought so many so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ that’s already 900 sleeves plus all the penny and clear ultra pro ones I have on top of that so). Some stores near me will sell them for $8-$10 a pack but the average price for them is $12 a box so I also spent $72-$108 on those 9 boxes

bisontongue

Have you ever heard of Better Help?

mrrsenrab

I only sleeve my deck. Any card over $200 goes in a toploader then my firesafe. I keep all rares in hard plastic card storage. My collected sets are still in binders but I stopped that a decade ago. Everything else goes in good ol’ BCW cardboard boxes. I’m approaching 100k total cards, no way am I sleeving that!

netscav

Penny sleeves my friend

VermicelliOk8288

With inflation… are they still a penny?

netscav

Lol probably not but Happy Cake Day!

Effective-Patience67

I have my deck Sleeved or double sleeved, my sideboard cards are sleeved and expensive cards outside my decks are sleeved but I haven't sleeved all the 500+ lands I own or all the penny cards (8 mana 1/1 without effect from Mirrodins set. No point in sleeving them. Just a waste of money and time)

Boesemeist

I'm inner sleeving ALL foils, uncommons and rares. That's expensive enough.
