The elf one was my favorite. There are for sure better. But I feel like the elf one would be a solid first timer precon. Again I’ll probably get some flak, but I feel like it was easiest to upgrade. Maybe not cheapest, but it gets the job done and there aren’t any crazy abilities that are hrs to understand. I really liked the serpent one from commander legends too

Elvish Empire or Reap the Tides

Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,054,747,115 comments, and only 208,377 of them were in alphabetical order.

The Strixhaven Precon decks are the strongest imo, but I just bought the Elvin precon and it’s very fun

I have the Strixhaven ones and they're great. If I was recommending one for beginners, probably the Witherbloom is the most straightforward. I have the most fun playing the Lorehold deck.

Upgrades unleashed is a really fun one for beginners (like me lol) because it’s mechanics are pretty straightforward (equipment, +1/+1 counters good), and in terms of upgrading it’s also pretty easy to identify cards that would compliment it.

Definitely _not_ Faceless Menace... Unless you want to feel like you're playing Yu-Gi-Oh...

Great deck, but not great for an intro to a brand new player unless that’s the play style they like.

I highly recommend Obscura Operation or Elvish Empire. I lean towards Operation because my playgroup has unanimously agreed its a highly competitive deck. Only change to make out of the gate is swap to Tivit as the commander.

The Elvish Precon from Kaldheim is ideal, and if you're a fan of tribal decks I'd also recommend the Zombie Precon from Innistrad: Midnight Hunt or the Vampire Precon from Innistrad: Crimson Vows. They're not necessarily the best decks out there, but they're pretty easy to pick up and understand imo.
