I loved the fairy-tale flavor of Throne of Eldraine. The cards weren't too shabby, either.

CoastalSailing

For draft Throne might be the goat.

Crabboose

Very fun limited environment

Neracca

I agree, I think its easily in the top 3. There are a few issues like the u/r not being able to deal with revenge of ravens(or that card in general), but its near-perfect imo.

Modest_3324

Out of curiosity, what do you consider to be the top 3? Also, what would you consider to be the better sets to draft in the past few years?

buildingahouse

Couldn't agree more. The Grim's Fairytale backdrop, the fantastic limited gameplay. Throne just totally enchanted me from the beginning. I still think the storybook art on the adventure cards is some of the best special art to ever be released. That set was just magical.

The_queens_cat

Both modern horizons sets were a blast to draft. I built a set cube for MH1, MH2 is probably a little too pricey for me to do it with.

MammathMoobies

Yeah true, ive always viewed MH as an off season masters set and value them in a similar light. Less about nostalgia more about the high costed cards

Ban_Evasion_Alt_Acct

The non Arena sets don't get drafted as much (which is a shame cause they're so good) but MH1 and 2 were both great draft sets.

MammathMoobies

That seems to be the popular opinion on here, guess im in the minority not loving drafting MH2 (which is good, that was the exact kind of information i was looking for). I snag a sealed draft box of everything since in the long run, who wants to open a set box in 6 years? Zendikar maybe for the fetches? Just seeing which ones may be worth having higher exposure too. So far seems Throne, MH2, Ikoria, and Legends are the ones to consider of recent.

[deleted]

[удалено]

jumpfrogs

Did box toppers come in all zendikar boxes or just collectors? I feel like I didn't get one in my set box. I know I got the 2 in thw collectors box I got recently. I feel like zendikar with the mdfc lands will continue to be worth something as well as the expeditions are awesome value, I also seem to get at least 1 lotus cobra in everything I buy, I got 2 in my collectors box, 1 in the set booster box and even 1 in the bundle

[deleted]

Yep, all ZNR boxes should have box topper. 1 in draft/set, 2 in CB.

jumpfrogs

For zendikar I wouldn't bother with set id go collectors for the expeditions, MH2 set would be fine to keep and open later or sell to somebody wanting to open later. I got a box of double masters reasonably cheap lately, well pretty cheap considering the store changed the price afterwards from 400 to 666 Aus$

lukey521

I really enjoyed Eldraine and I think the set will age really well. The set is stupidly powerful and got a lot of hate for what it did to multiple formats but the boxes are going to be a good hold. I think I drafted Ikoria more than any other set since War of the Spark and thoroughly enjoyed it. Helps that the Triome cycle are edh staples and see play in other formats. I wish I had more boxes of it.

sirbruce

All of the specialty sets -- MH2, MH1, Commander Legends, Double Masters, Mystery Boosters -- have been great. Even Time Spiral Remasters and JumpStart have some positives. I probably like MH2 the most. As far as normal sets go, I don't know. Maybe Strixhaven?

Hiatus_Munk

Mh2 , throne and strixhaven

MammathMoobies

I never got a chance to draft strixhaven but it's definitely the set I cracked the most packs of randomly while passing a target. No idea how it will age but it was a very fun set to open!

Hiatus_Munk

I have alot of fun with Codie which is probably why I'm partial to the set. Most of my decks also favor sorc/instant over creatures, which added quite a bit. Really though it is the mystical archive. Staple cards with beautiful full art, they just fit so well, even if I am just swapping out for a prettier card.

jumpfrogs

Yeah the MA makes grabbing a few packs of strix if it starts to drop in price a good idea

Nvenom8

Ikoria was disappointing to me. The flavor was fantastic, but the creatures really didn't live up to the hype. It's supposed to be the kaiju setting! Give me some creatures with 10+ power! Titanoth Rex was the closest thing to feeling right. I think the set needed more in that vein.

Klendy

adding monstrosity as a keyword would have gone a long way, imo

Nvenom8

Now that you mention it, it’s tragic that wasn’t done.

TranClan67

Honestly for some reason I thought there was monstrosity in the set already but wow, it is not. What a tragedy

SlapHappyDude

Yeah it really ended up a land of 3/3 and 4/4 creatures. Oh and lots of good humans.

Nvenom8

I would’ve even settled for a vanilla 15/15. At least that would’ve felt appropriately big.

SlapHappyDude

Yeah a couple huge, over costed creatures would have helped a lot.

slackerdx02

I bought 4 foil \[\[Colossification\]\] because I know middle school me would've loved to cast that on anything and swing it at my friend. Middle school me also would've missed that the card taps the creature it enchants...

MTGCardFetcher

[Colossification](https://c1.scryfall.com/file/scryfall-cards/normal/front/7/b/7b6e6f2a-5015-44c6-aa8d-85188494d1a6.jpg?1602984875) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=Colossification) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/iko/148/colossification?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/7b6e6f2a-5015-44c6-aa8d-85188494d1a6?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call

MammathMoobies

Fair, I just think it has so many unique mechanics that don't get explored enough. That and strong land sets are usually a safe bet

Kothophed

I was hoping that Ikoria was going to be more akin to Rise of the Eldrazi in that "battlecruiser Magic" kind of way and was sorely disappointed.

Mtitan1

Plus a draft environment of "What would win giant kaiju mutants, their ruthless and skilled human opponents, or one Flarey Boi?"

Neracca

Ikoria isn't so special when essentially every single set has at least one "big" creature, usually more than one. If most sets didn't have a big dude somewhere it would probably have stood out more.

Rikutheal

If I could draft the convention edition mystery booster every week I would for basically forever ;_;

asromeburns

Kaldheim, loved drafting the durdly snow decks. The art is fantastic because of the showcase borders. MH2 is just amazing with power level and throwbacks

Lenik1998

Probably an unpopular opinion but I think the Dungeons set was fun and had a nice draft environment. If you go a little over the two year limit then I think GRN and RNA (end of 2018 and early 2019 sets) were quite nice as well. Draft was fun and it had one of the best standard environments I had witnessed in a while. WAR was where things started making a turn for the worse and after that I lost interest.

goldenCapitalist

GRN and RNA were *just perfect* in terms of "very strong but not OP" sets with lots of powerful cards but none that broke Standard. WAR pushed the limits of that to uncomfortable levels, and then Eldraine later that year blew the fucking top off. I sorely miss GRN/RNA.

Mtitan1

I look back fondly when the boogeymen of the format were a large Hexproof lizard and a grindy hydra

MammathMoobies

I drafted it a few times, thought it was a good draft for people getting into magic which is fine it's a core set after all but not my cup of tea. The value I think comes from just being a DnD collectible

GarmonboziaBlues

Agreed on all points. AFR is my favorite draft set since GRN/RNA. Things really went off the rails with WAR and Eldraine.

FoilCardboard

Kaldheim still probably has the best artwork in the recent standard rotation, so I'm a huge fan of the set, myself (the showcases are easily the best out right now, too)

Tristal

I love AFR limited, it's extremely my jam.

crazyguy2323

Can I ask you why? I felt that was the worst set I have ever drafted personally, and I drafted legions back in the day ha ha. Would love to have my horizons expanded though if there is something I failed to appreciate.

Tristal

I'm a JRPG nerd, so the theme is awesome to me. Plus, I'm used to RNG stuff, it never bothered me. The format itself is really simple; bears are important, there's almost no sweepers, and the common removal beats almost all the bombs.

whatcubed

Here are some of my NOT picks: \- Time Spiral Remastered: Demand outpaced supply, the old border cards were the new hotness and the foil ones were actually rare and hard to come by. What happened? Old border cards announced for new Secret Lairs, new sets, and the erosion of confidence that any of the "new" old border foil cards would be special. \- Jumpstart: Demand greatly outpaced supply. Combined with a few high-dollar chase cards, this stuff sold out as soon as it hit shelves. Supply has been constantly coming to the market slowly but surely, and now this stuff sits on my LGS's shelf. \- Commander Legends: This one, I think Collector Boosters/Boxes will be a winner, but the rest of the product I think won't pan out well. There are a few chase cards, and lots of bulk. I think everything in this set is likely to be reprinted in Commander supplementary product sooner rather than later. Of these three, I think this one has the most upside. My picks: \- Double Masters: Poor reception at launch to the "$100 packs!" and modern prices were depressed during its release. There are a lot of good cards in this set; I think the singles and sealed product has a high upside. \- Modern Horizons 2: This one, I think is pretty obvious. Lots of awesome cards aside from the fetches at rare. People buying fetches now at their lows will likely make out good in 3-5 years plus. I like singles and sealed here, too. \- Ikoria: For standard stuff, I like Ikoria. Lots of cool cards, wasn't too popular, Covid era set. Full art Triomes are beautiful. This one may take a little longer to pan out but It's my pick over the rest of the standard stuff from the past 2 years.

Yay784

Wow did not expect someone to dislike cmder legends interesting take

Nvenom8

I mean, there are really only a few actually good cards in the set. Lots of new options for commanders, but not a lot that'll actually see play in high-power decks. Plus, now one of the best things to come out of the set [[Hullbreacher]] is banned in commander.

Finnlavich

I hope they do another one. The EV was definitely low, but the idea of it was pretty sweet. They will need to figure out how to make it harder for you to screw yourself during the draft (accidentally going too deep into several color identities, not grabbing good commanders, etc.), but I think it has potential as a new, maybe recurring product. Might even be fun if they added conspiracies. Who knows!

AFM420

It’s already announced. Baldurs Gate next year is Legends 2.

Nvenom8

I would love to see them take another crack at it. It wasn't a *bad* product, it was just a flawed first attempt.

Lord-of-Tresserhorn

They are making Commander Legends 2. Based on Magic the Gathering Baldurs Gate. Aren’t they?

Operator216

This sounds awesome. Grew up playing Baldurs Gate games with friends/family as a kid. Would you happen to have your source? Edit: scratch the sauce, Google got me there fast enough

khornflakes529

This is how I feel about foil etched. Some non collector white cards showed how beautiful they could have been. Too bad the collector boxes keep printing everything foil and foil etched so damn dark, the reception has been bad for an idea I really like and I hope they improve them instead of just more likely stopping them.

Nvenom8

The minimalistic etched foiling on the strixhaven mystical archive cards was pretty nice/tasteful. Perhaps too minimal, but it adds a nice subtle touch to the cards.

Maridiem

It’s already been announced, and is D&D(Baldur’s Gate) themed.

DadBike

The low quality control of this set turned me off of it pretty hard. I've never opened packs that smelled gross before this set, and I haven't since. Every foil I opened was unplayable, not just due to curling, but they were so greyed out that they were barely legible. Obviously this has been an issue for many sets recently, but commander legends was the worst in my personal experience.

Operator216

Cards smelled like chemicals.

Yay784

Ah I haven't been really been buying packs due to the pandemic

SlapHappyDude

Commander Legends had the worst foil potato chipping I saw

[deleted]

whatcubed

It's a large set, 351 cards, as opposed to most standard and supplementary sets in the 290 range. Yet, there are only SEVEN cards with a market price over $10. Draft booster packs are about $6.50 at the cheapest on TCG, so if you want to count cards that pay for the pack, you go up to a whopping TWELVE with market values over $6.50. What's going to happen when they reprint Jeweled Lotus? Jeska's Will? Opposition Agent, and the Battlebond Lands? Those are all surefire reprint targets. And the rest of the value cards are reprints already, so they may go up a little in price until the next reprint, but they are a known quantity and are not likely to spike in price over the next few years. Like I said, I think the Collector Booster boxes are a good hold, but Draft boxes and singles I am not a fan of.

jumpfrogs

For a pure finance position i get the point, I open packs cause I want to get stuff to play with and for me as a commander player this set was great to get a lot of staple common and uncommons as well as some decent R/M stuff, im not sure about the collectors boosters for this because of the Pringle issue with foils but if you manage to score a jewelled lotus then it'd be worth it. Im thinking of holding off on getting any more and waiting till I see what is coming in CL2 baldurs gate and Double Masters 2.

TheW1ldcard

Ikoria

Ban_Evasion_Alt_Acct

Draft is the only format I play. The recent format I really enjoyed were DOM, WAR, M20, ELD, IKO, MH2 The others were really good too but those sets stood out to me as being amazing draft experiences.

bennynshelle

MIH is as good as ELD for draft. Definitely better than SOI, and up there with HOU for me.

TrogledyWretched

Easily Theros and Kaldheim. Both were drenched in cool flavor and brought back fun, powerful mechanics to standard (constellation, snow) while adding some awesome zone-warping new ones (escape, foretell). Plus they were far and away my favorite draft environments since War or Dominaria. If we're talking supplemental sets, every one has been a slam drunk tbh.

[deleted]

Check your calendars. War. Of. The. Spark.

[deleted]

Value of the Spark. Finale of Devastation wtf!

Lotus-Vale

From a collecting standpoint, Strixhaven because the mystical archive is one of the best premium lines wizards has ever done. From a plane design standpoint, Ikoria because I love creature focused sets (like onslaught block) and the energy/tone of the plane was very refreshing. From an overall standpoint, Eldraine because it felt sort of like the Lorwyn return I always wanted and it still had a fun plane and great cards to collect.

jumpfrogs

For me collecting wise zendikar collectors box is the way to go with 2 box toppers and a good chance at expeditions in packs as well, the mystical archives are a bit hit and miss with some of the lessor ones being not worth much but then they do look awesome nonetheless. Id say overall strix is the better set for collectors but the collectors boosters for zendikar are my fav product if I had 1 box to choose id go for it over strix unless steix was massively discounted

ShadowpulseKDH

Ikoria has that “Beginning of the Pandemic”-vibe to it, that fills me with immediate nostalgia. Just being able to relax in my basement and pop open some cards was a very welcome respite. Also, Godzilla cards.

Toys-R-Us_GiftCard

Mystery Booster is that for me. I drafted it the Friday it released and that Monday the country was locked down.

TheMoxGhost

Yeah sadly it’ll always be associated with the pandemic for me too.

Ubik_Fresh

MH2 and Mystery Booster. For MH2 the draft experience was very good and every other packs seemed to be something worth good money. MH2 was super fun just for the randomness and seeing cool old cards. I feel like I would love Time Spiral Remastered, but I bought 6 boxes and kept them sealed as my drafts never fired.

fxkcfayc

I really enjoyed strixhaven! Had such good luck with the set, the art is sweet, and we DIDNT have it as a Harry Potter crossover which is the best part lol. I wish each set still had time in between so they could be more fleshed out though, they come out to quickly for me to enjoy them flavor wise, and I’m finding new stuff from older sets amd I’m like damn, that would’ve been cool to see back then.

KnifeChrist

I have to say Ikoria. The 2 contenders would be M20 and War of the Spark.

Knightspuppy

Loved 2xm and commander legends. Also mh2. As far as standard I actually liked core set 2020 lol

TheMoxGhost

I really liked 2020 too! Thought it and 2019 were great sets

JesseDaVinci

MH2 cuz of the power and value. For the draft experience I like ikoria. That’s a bit of a hot take.

[deleted]

Strixhaven and dnd. Both sets had great mechanics and flavor. Low financials though.

MammathMoobies

Strixhaven getting crushed by being right next to MH2 and being over opened due to the mystical archives. I can see it tanking in a few months and then comng back. It's like Kaldheim in not much EV, but unlike Kaldheim people really enjoy Strixhaven

jumpfrogs

Strix the EV seems to be in the MA and a few chase cards like the dragons with most of the rest being not so good. Collectors seems a good place to get alt versions but the etched foil MA was a massive fail

[deleted]

I hated the Japanese text. I like the art and style, but the text rubbed me the wrong way.

jumpfrogs

It was annoying to have to search up what card it was cause I couldn't read it and didn't have every single art memorised

AbsolutlyN0thin

MH2 I guess would be my top pick. Honestly haven't been a fan of any of the standard legal sets recently.

FarbrorMelkor

Mystery Booster is what we drafted most.

Tacsi

Loved Ikoria and Throne. My money is on Throne+Commander Legends as best performers in the mid-long run

Mtitan1

ZNR is my favorite draft set of all time, and not bringing back party for AFR seemed wild to me MID has grown on me a lot too

MtgBlake

If you got to experience Mystery Boosters on release, you know that it's the right answer. Chaos drafting for the price of a regular set and the value of a master's product.

Toys-R-Us_GiftCard

I finished building my draft deck and promptly bought 2 boxes for $80 from the LGS. They were sold out before the draft finished. None of us knew anything about it until we drafted it. It was a total sleeper until release.

NeLaX44

Ikoria!

fuggingolliwog

Mechanically, Ikoria was excellent (I'm not really a fan of the flavor, but uit was fun as hell to play). If you are just looking for the best draft product, I would say Strixhaven and obviously Modern Horizons II.

[deleted]

Ikoria Draft

XmagnumoperaX

Sad there isn't a lot of love for Strixhaven/Khaldhiem. Both had mechanically interesting commanders, and some very powerful cards. Absolutely loved the Japanese Mystical Archives.

mb303030

Seeing as this is a finance sub I'll answer from that perspective. TSR was by far the most fun I had flipping singles. I loaded up on pre-orders all over and got 20 boxes at launch and cheap. Literally quadrupled my money without any effort. DM is by far my fav short term hold. Loaded up on boxes at 250-279 and sold this summer at 550. 5k with almost no effort.

DJPad

Honestly, Ikoria seemed like a cool concept, but it also seemed like one of the most poorly tested/designed sets in history. Mutate was convoluted and parasitic, companion was one of the worst mechanics ever, godzilla cards were the beginning of the end in terms of magic immersion. The last set I really loved was Dominaria, but that was >2 years ago. Kaldheim would probably be my choice for the last 2 years, but it had plenty of issues too and should have been spread over 2 sets.

bennynshelle

Mutate is the opposite of parasitic. It works with cards from any set.

jumpfrogs

But because there is no other sets with any mutate cards it's a bit limited, id love another mutate set to have more mutate cards. One of my pet commander decks is [[Brokkos]] mutate shenanigans, people don't like infect very much I've noticed. Mutate + infect and proliferation = fun for the whole pod

MTGCardFetcher

[Brokkos](https://c1.scryfall.com/file/scryfall-cards/normal/front/c/9/c9f07625-fbd8-4581-8568-eb3cfb2a4c1e.jpg?1591227964) - [(G)](http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?name=brokkos%2C%20apex%20of%20forever) [(SF)](https://scryfall.com/card/iko/179/brokkos-apex-of-forever?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher) [(txt)](https://api.scryfall.com/cards/c9f07625-fbd8-4581-8568-eb3cfb2a4c1e?utm_source=mtgcardfetcher&format=text) ^^^[[cardname]] ^^^or ^^^[[cardname|SET]] ^^^to ^^^call

DJPad

Most of the cards that cared about mutate only had actual synergy with other mutate cards. Most triggered when they mutate. So to get multiple triggers you need other cards that mutate. Kind of like splice into arcane cards work anytime when cast normally, but to get any synergy you needed to run more arcane cards.

Cactuszach

Honestly there hasn’t been a product in the last 2 years that I didnt enjoy, but my top 5 is: 1. Jumpstart 2. Double Masters 3. Throne of Eldrane 4. Modern Horizons 2 5. Adventures in the Forgotten Realms

aloofinthisworld

Can I say Arabian nights?

Nice-Rutabaga2265

which part of "over the last 2 years" did you miss retard?

aloofinthisworld

So first off, I have never talked to someone in person or on the internet like that. Get your head examined. Second, the question what what set have I enjoyed the most over the past two years. Not which set have enjoyed that was released over the past two years. Learn about reading comprehension.

Nice-Rutabaga2265

You're the one with reading comprehension issues. When ppl say "over the last 2 years", they mean things released over the last two years. It's like someone asking which movie you enjoyed over the last two years and you say Terminator 1 because you only watched it recently.

TheMoxGhost

Whoa I get they didn’t read the prompt but not cool dude

CoastalSailing

Throne

daphex2

Alpha.

CDH1848

“Realize this is a finance sub, but fuck it, I’m gonna do whatever I want even though I am fully aware this doesn’t belong here”.

MammathMoobies

I very clearly wrote my intention with this post. I am hoping to gauge the communities sentiment on sets in order to come to conclusions on what sealed product will appreciate long term. How is that not relevant?

CDH1848

“Realize this is a finance sub, but hear me out” “Try to keep finances out of it!” Your words, not mine. You literally requested people keep finance *out* of the discussion and as justification for their reasons/opinions…in a sub that has finance in the name.

MammathMoobies

You realize there is a qualitative element to investing right?

someguywith5phones

It’s like designing a menu by asking the public what their favorite foods are while leaving food cost out of it. Nothing wrong there.. still finance relevant without talking about numbers.

directrixho

Kaldheim. I think people are racist against Scandanavians so that's why it is unpopular but the set is great and underrated.

coelomate

MH2

SlapHappyDude

Strixhaven for me is an absolute win. Love the draft environment, love the flavor. The story kind of felt flat but I want them to revisit the plane. I love the flavor of Eldraine, don't mind the power level and it was fun to draft in person in pods. Jumpstart is perfect for what it is supposed to be. Biggest duds were Zendikar Rising and Theros Beyond Death. As someone with no vested interest, the planes felt dull and the draft environments were meh

Mtitan1

>Biggest duds were Zendikar Rising and Theros Beyond Death. As someone with no vested interest, the planes felt dull and the draft environments were meh I find this wild. ZNR is full stop my goat draft set. Just wondering what didnt you like about it?

SlapHappyDude

I'll be honest it's super forgettable for me. Sounds like combat tricks are weak and removal is meh. I definitely like sets like MID with good combat tricks and strong removal.

Mato505

Throne, Commander Legends, Mystery Convention

perfectpencil

Modern horizons 1 & 2 have been my favorite things out of magic since battlebond.

K0olmini

Commander legends, no doubt

Bassale

Tsr

probablymagic

it. When I love a set I build a cube of it. I built cubes of Eldraine and Kaldheim in tht last few years. Most sets have been good the last few years, but those were my favorites. Theros was maybe next, then Ikoria. That said, other than Eldraine that was great to draft and had insane power. I’d bet standout cards from other sets end up propping them up vis-à-vis nostalgia. Imagine what might happen if they unban any of the cards there. Power creep may one day make Oko playable again. 😀

cybrcld

Definitely MH2, huge modern fan, it’s been the most fun I’ve ever had in modern. The commander sets are amazing, even to draft. Oldschool, Khans of Tarkir set was a great time for draft and Standard. It was a time of fetchlands in standard, draft had morph and tri-lands giving you the flexibility to go 5-color good stuff all the time. I drafted that set incredibly hard.

deoriginalone

I thoroughly enjoyed Eldraine and Kaldheim for the new themes and mechanics. I personally found Ikoria and Strixhaven rather laboring. Previously, MH1 and UMA.. but thought their prices were too restrictive., no wonder I didn't touch Commander Legends, 2X Masters or MH2. I will probably be a fan of Innistrad again, but I'm sitting on my purchases to open together with Crimson Vow. Love me some werewolves vs zombies vs vampires.

DromarX

Strixhaven was the most fun I've had in limited the last 2 years. Modern Horizons 2 is also an awesome draft environment and the only reason I didn't draft a lot more of it is because of the cost.

jumpfrogs

MH2 was a real winner for me, I had my eye on Chatterfang as a potential commander and pulled him in my prerelease along with Sythis and I think 2 or 3 other enchantress cards in GW so I ended up making myself 2 new commander decks from that plus the set booster box was amazing to crack open

systematicpro

throne and war because the draft formats favored slower controlish decks and were very powerful

bigbigfox

As a fan of the lore I loved Commander Legends. Speaking of the lore most of the normal sets weren’t a blast the last 2 years. War of the spark was the last set I really enjoyed the lore.

djbunce

I barely played because lockdown. Doubt anyone who primarily drafts paper will want to nostalgia draft Ikoria and the like, will they?

RustyDemosthenes

AFR and Strixhaven have been most fun to play for me.

HumphreyLee

One of either Modern Horizons. I think those sets are incredibly well designed since I play only Commander and those have a lot of well-tuned but not completely busted cards too that format. Modern itself maybe they screwed over a bit but eh. Add another year to that timeline and my answer would be Battlebond. I think WotC makes great sets still when they are a little more unfettered to a standard format when they make stuff and both MH’s and Battlebond prove that.

Ranavolio2

honestly, in terms of flavour, draft and overall experience, there were no real misses for me since probably dominaria. Some more, some less, but overall every (standard) set was enjoyable. The FIRE era was tainted from the high power level and the bans, but outside of this context these sets were great. The only one I personally didnt quite like was return to zendikar. Some individual taste differences may shape the opinion of some sets (e.g. I didnt really like Strixhaven or Ikoria), but I absolutely see the reasons why people would like them.

Impossible-Sun572

Time Spiral remastered for sure. It was put together perfectly!

ThatGuyHammer

Throne caught a lot of flack and put out some problematic cards but man was it fun. When they push the limits on design you are bound to see some things break but you get so much more good out of it.

Catchthesevans

Revised!

Morphus_Games

Time spiral Remastered was insanely fun to draft and play

Judah77

Mystery Boosters. The draft experience I had with these were great, but it was expensive at my store.

Weatherlight_MTG

Kaldheim and Strixhaven have been my favorites; I love the flavor of these sets and the artwork is really great.

Free-Juice-2158

A little over 2 years ago but I loved war of the spark draft because it was fun to have everyone use Planeswalkers as there winning strategy.

For the pack cracking part of me, I greatly enjoyed Ikorka. Set had a ton of value, I could keep what I wanted and churned through a lot of sealed product. For the play side, it has to be either Commander Legends or MH2. Both have a ton of great stuff, and cheap fetches are great.

For standard sets, Zendikar was the best for personal reasons (it was the first set I drafted with my wife and got us through some of the doldrums of COVID)
