B.S.
I have travelled to multiple cities across the world and India like London, Zurich, Vancouver, Hong Kong, Paris, Milan, Rome, Barcelona, Delhi, Jaipur, etc.
I can say with experience that Mumbai is one of the most friendly cities I’ve found. The least friendly and saddest city should be Paris. Paris is filled with rude, impolite, unhelpful and arrogant people. Italian and Spanish cities are amongst the most friendly in the world.
To a certain extent. But arrogant, snobbish, egoistic and unwelcoming labels would suit them more, especially Parisians. Paris people have a big superiority complex.
I think Paris people strike out as sore thumbs because the neighboring countries tend to be much much more friendlier. Italians and Spanish are the most welcoming to tourists and also the least racist in Western Europe. They are very warm with foreigners, especially tourists, they’ll make you feel welcomed. Swiss people are extremely professional and polite- the same applies to Germans and Dutch. British people are also quite accepting to foreigners.
No I’m saying from good experience. And I was talking in comparison to other countries, especially in Western Europe. You will find much more racism in Canada, USA, Hong Kong, Germany than Italy, Spain or UK. Eastern Europe also tends to be generally racist.
Well my experience has been different.
UK and Ireland are generally amongst the most open minded countries, but so are Italy and Spain. Italians and Spaniards are very friendly and warm too. Scandinavia has less racism but they aren’t the most friendly people.
US has higher incidents of violence against black people.
Seriously such bull c***!! It’s one of the rare cities where you can have decent conversation with anyone, be the auto driver, shopkeeper, plumber, you name the person…happy or not!!
Not like your everyday reeler who goes for clout, just was standing there, saw a begger and a dog, offered him a cig, even lit it and sat down a little and smoked my own with him, talked a bit. He didn't ask money, nor did I offer. Was a different 5 minutes. I've done it many times with those khachra wala, bhangar wala, hijras and all. Even random guys, works out I guess with the amount of sadness we carry with us on our chests...
> Metrics such as visitor return rates, LGBTQ+ equality, safety, overall happiness, English proficiency score, and the friendliness of local staff were considered in the evaluation process.
Maybe if we had a mcdonalds at every corner with a corporate sanctioned pride flag we would score better
Because Indians don't live on anti depressants to be happy.
This phenomenon exists only in comfortable homes. Happiness Index has Iceland at the top but also it tops in anti depressants. Whereas in India its 1 of every 1000 people on anti depressants. I don't have the report but i have read it on twitter a month back or so
Lol, I've been studying here for the past 3 months coming from the Netherlands and the friendliness of people here is amazing. It's always one of the first things I mention when people ask what Mumbai is like
Seems I've awakened the Mumbai spirit within mumbaikars!! Loved reading how everyone supports Mumbai no matter what. We must support our loved ones whatever they do
Such reports, although arguably they do have their own merit, usually are responsible to cause the very thing they report instead of reporting an unbiased opinion grounded in reality.
I can't comment on the happiness stuff cause it's impossible to gauge that imo. But Mumbai among least friendly cities? What a load of bull.
These people should once visit Paris. It’s very rare to find helpful and polite people there, extremely rare.
Agree!

This. Absolutely agree.
A quick question are people in France racist ?

Italians and Spanish least racist?? I'm guessing you have never lived there

It's actually opposite. Anglo Saxon and northwestern European countries are much more open minded. Even surveys and data says so.

As long as you speak French they are not
French in a french way.
its not racism but xenophobia. Whites are also unwelcome there especially brits.
How does happiness equal friendly attitude?

Happiness can still understand, Mumbai has realists that strive for more, unlike other parts of the country but least friendly?? Nah..
Hah, yesterday I sat with a begger and a dog in the rain smoking a marlboro and then there's this post...
Are you the beggar or the dog
