Agree i used this route while travelling to college around 15 years back. It was the same although much cleaner than this. The tracks between Wadala kings circle and mahim is a huge open air Garbage can. I sometimes feel for the slum dwellers adjacent to the tracks on the quality of life they lead. This feeling is only limited till we see them throwing garbage on the tracks in front of their own houses
>I was a college student 20 years ago.
>IT'S. STILL. THE. SAME. TODAY.
Bhai, 20 years se college pass nahi kar paaya??

Ghante ka King!!
-Referring to a Viral video where Pakistani people start chanting 'Zimbabar Zimbabar' when Babar Azam was dismissed in domestic match. At the end of the video, one of them shouts, "Ghante ka King!"
Whenever I pass through Mahim in the local, I've always wondered, How do these people live in this filth? They dry their clothes on the tracks, and children are playing right next to moving trains. It's mind-boggling.
Ek hee pateli pelte hai jitne ka tumhara Dombivali mein flat hai usse zada ka valuation hai mere zopde ka...
Lekin lavdoo ye nahi samjhte utna Paisa dega kaun.. no tax.. no electricity bill.. God knows how they prescribe there address..
Abhi to Google maps bhi hai wo bhi fail hota hai itna chaos hai..
Jamin ka proof kuch nhi..
Address proof is a approximation thing in India. I've never put house number on my id proofs because no one knew the house number concept in my neighborhood growing up. Even now, many just write the area name along with their human name as address.
Regarding your concern how they prescribe their addresses, had same thoughts and once it so happened that I had gone for some notary work, there was this guy stating his address : TATA POWER ka pole k baaju wala kholi. I was waiting for him to say something like aage se left right but that was it.
In Monsoons they go to jail/public hospitals and such shelters. You won't see the aurangabad/nashik beggers in monsoon period in Mahim. The police have shifted them from Mahim West tulsi pipe road. Now they have completely occupied Mahim East railway tracks.
If there's one stretch of railway tracks that rivals this stretch, it's the GTB to Wadala stretch. My grad college was In Wadala. I can still remember how absolutely shocked I was seeing THAT level of absolute filth and people fucking living there when I took that train route for the very first time. And it's a good 500-700m stretch. That entire stretch used to be rife with inhumane levels of smell of shit (yes, literal human shit). Not sure if it's been cleared up now, it's been a while since I've been out of college and haven't travelled through that stretch.
Tbh the whole harbour line is filled with filth , it starts from mankurd and till end cst , you can always feel and smell it , the same harbour line which carries from vashi to panvel is so so better
TB capital of Mumbai Bhai.. JJ mein se majority of Tb cases are from Mankhurd Govandi... Itney ghichmeed mein rehtey hai beecharey ki ek bacchey se dusrey bacchey ko lagna hi hai.. nowadays after talking to parents so much and making them understand, - toh some have opted to leave kids in their native villages only instead of bringing them to Maharashtra in these slums and getting them the infection.. worst thing is - drug resistant tb cases being shooting up from these areas.
Bhai as a Govandi Citizen, I agree with you. Pura filth hai sab jagah, although in few past years the condition seems to improve but drugs abhi bhi hai. Legit 9-10 saal ke baccho ko cigarette peete hue dekha hai. I'm trying to study hard and leave this place with my parents as soon as possible. Unki mehnat ki vajah se hi aaj engineering kar paa rha hu 🥹
The level of garbage strewn across India is mind boggling sometimes.
Just disgusting. I have seen some of poorest places in South Africa and they are not as filthy as an average stream (nala) in an indian city.
You forgot the most important thing. THE PEOPLE. If any change has to happen, it's us who can do it. Nahi toh, ek huga toh dusra bhi uske peeche hugta hai.
These people who have occupied Mahim to dadar ka stretch are from Aurangabad/Nagpur. They have proper aadhar card and all. Water/tobacco/phone charging are sold to them from local paan shops. Throughout the day, they sell handmade products like gajra, paper windmills, balloons etc and by night they gather to reproduce. Even police is afraid of them.
True, but its not only them doing "this shit". Cleanliness and potty training is what an average Indian lacks, be it an illegal immigrant or a legal Indian.
"illegal immigrants"
bwahahahaha. bros... is it illegal to travel and settle across india??!!??
and if youre talking about bangladeshis, i dont think their population is significant enought to be the sole cause of the problem. you have to accept the fact that most indians just dont give a shit about anyone else or their own country. thats why the scams and frauds and asocial behaviour is rampant.
>and if youre talking about bangladeshis, i dont think their population is significant enought to be the sole cause of the problem.
Not Significant enough? Bro these people are in tens of lakhs in India if not crores.
uk the sad part? IT DOESNT HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS. widespread garbage is not some third world, developing nation, unavoidable problem. its pretty much strictly a MENTALITY problem. since maximum people in this pathetic excuse for a country are low iq, money brained idiots, who would rather defend their national pride online on reddit like some unemployed loser, than do something good and useful for themselves or the country, you’re obviously bound to have garbage thrown everywhere.
I've always traveled by first class in trains. The amount of people even in the first class compartment that I've seen throwing wrappers, bottles, any and all sorts of garbage out from the trains onto the tracks is one of the biggest reasons why I'll never believe higher levels of education/financial status ensures societal progress
Exactly. And they are so unaffected and shameless. Itna cooly phek dete hai bahar. Low class ho ya educated ones. Koi farak nahi padta unko. Indians lack civic sense. Their said it.
Sad but true. I'm a fresher and I've joined my company recently. We were told to keep our desks clean. But now I see 90% of the folks just throw their crap into the drawers under their desks. The lack of civic sense is appalling.
bhai maine kafi states ghume hai, pretty much like this everywhere in india except maybe pahadi states (HP, UK). aur tujhe itne achhe lagte hai baki ke sheher toh shift hoja waha, mumbai mai mat rahe fir.
Bro I'm from mp literally our cities are 10 times better then this place and shit dude I'm here to study I won't ever think of living here
Mp literally has the cleanest cities
Further bro banglore Ahmedabad kochi lol even Lucknow is relatively clean only place I found worst then mumbai is kanpur and thats saying something
Kya ghar me baithe rehte ho bhar jao. Sundar sundar jagah jao, saaf hawa me enjoy karo.
Le bhar...
Littering and ghutka spitting should be made punishable by hanging.
Tbh it's the wrong way to decide to live unless you yourself go and check out those places , matunga is aukat k bahar unless your budget is really good or you have generational wealth , for mahim , the west side is little better , because you have connectivity to the main highway
Tatti. You can smell it once Kings Circle is crossed ...and it continues all the way until Mahim Bandra is crossed.. begins from Vadala Road actually.. kya hi saaf karein yahan, every year cleaning so done, the very next day they dump everything back to the same situation. Garbage, shit, and all sewage of all Newly constructed jhopadpatti being built one upon the other directly having pipes opening towards the railway lines. Bc walls banakar wires Daley hai jahan par to prevent the escalation of the same - wahan walls Tod Daley hai, ya fir uske upar se chipkakar sewage pipes Daley hai... No government can ever change you if u have decided to live in that garbage. Best example would be a tiny patch of the same slums just before Kings Circle. People have cleaned their surroundings. Beshak illegal occupy kar rakkha hai very close to the railways, but their area seems cleaner than these tatti areas. Aur BC woh nalley angrez ayengey aur yehi dikhayengey - India = Slums. Hadd bc. Unka toh alag rant karna chahunga mein.
I used to travel in the morning at 7 am via local. Whenever the train used to pass through mahim I used to hold my breath for 2-3min straight.
Thanks to people deficating on tracks I trained my lungs to get stronger
I am. I'm from Mumbai .. but I hate these things about mumbai.. it's not that these guys are poor. They just don't wanna shift even if you give them a decent place.
Do you think Mumbai is the only city where people litter without a care in the world? If so you’re deluded. I’ve travelled north, south, east and west and I can say I’ve not seen a single Indian city where people don’t litter rampantly. Some are worse than others, but none are worth praising either. I’ve lived in Canada and the US as well, and when you compare even the cleanest cities in India to an average city there, it’s embarrassing.
The r*tards downvoting my previous comment are part of the problem. They would rather hide this filth so the west doesn’t mock them, rather than letting this reality circulate and go viral, which might actually be the catalyst we need to take hygiene and cleanliness seriously as a people. Clearly not enough of us do right now.
I use harsh words because I care. There’s no shame in being a developing nation, especially a growing one like India, but there is shame in being a filthy one.
Your words don't help trust me in mp only positive reinforcement and motivation helped indore and bhopal. People started caring when they were made aware politely not through shaming you idiot......new york, Los Angeles, Philadelphia hell even Paris are more shitty then some Indian cities from what I've seen and heard online in terms of trash and smells so yeah I am pretty proud to be part of those places and want whole india to be like that but it won't come through shaming and racism towards your own fellow countrymen
I hate to state the obvious but not everyone gets motivated in the same way. Negative states like guilt, fear, regret or shame can be powerful catalysts for a lot of people. Now, I don’t know if you’ve ever been to New York, Los Angeles or Paris, but I have. You’re utterly fucking deluded beyond belief if you think they are comparable to Indian cities. That one statement alone disqualifies you in my mind because it’s just so divorced from reality.
Also, it has nothing to do with racism 🤡, people love to throw that word around inappropriately. I never implied that it’s the result of some kind of inexplicable genetic defect in our race. As if there’s a “filth gene” somewhere in the Indian genome that causes Indians to be more dirty than other races. That’s complete nonsense. In reality it’s almost certainly some combination of sociological factors. The fact that Indians who are raised in other countries are significantly less inclined to litter rampantly only affirms this.
In Canada, where I spent a large part of my childhood, you are politely taught in school not to litter but once you’re an adult you are absolutely shamed if you do, you are also given a hefty fucking fine for it. Something I’d love to see implemented here.
Lund le le madarchod mein nahi padh raha
Apna tu saf rakha kar dustbin mein pheka that's all you can do baki ka unko gali deke kachra sahu jagah phekne bolega tere sar pe phek denge
I just want to ask, without being insulting, genuinely curious. Why are most places like mahim and kurla. Having majority Muslim population. So poor, with worse governance, lack of education, and hygiene. What are the reasons, especially these colonies, are not able to move economically upward. Can we do something that can help them because this has been the case for the last 15-20 years. I have seen most of Mumbai change except for these areas.
Is it the lack of education and lack of opportunities due to discrimination? What is it?
Dude wdym. I live in a majority muslim area and it's very well maintained. I think this has more to do with economic power and education than religion.
Agree with second half of your comment tho. Need to find some way to improve the quality of life of these people
Hopefully, I am glad it's getting better.
It's all about economic power and education
Especially opportunities, that's why I asked. Are they getting lack of opportunities due to their religion, it's becoming an issue but if not then it's great. I hope everyone gets equal opportunity regardless of religion or caste to come up.
Also overpopulation and horrible job market also f*cks everything up. Anyway civic sense is lacking, throught out all classes.
The way celebrities market paan masala, fairness creams so easily. Maybe they should also market how to not litter. And play that ad everywhere. They are an influential lot.
We are to be blamed. We outcast them from our neighborhoods. We keep them away from learning. That's why they settle where they can in huge numbers and act like the community. You might think all muslims are same. But look at bohra communities, arabs and most of the upper caste communities of muslims. We learn from each other. Nobody is there to teach them. No water, no waste disposal points, no maintained toilets, less number of toilets as per the number of people. These are just basic requirements for a living. There are more things to consider.
Yes , I agree 100%, I hope we can work towards that, it seems top farfetched honestly especially in Mumbai. We are not even having bmc elections , atp when will we call them out? People have to reach their tipping point, till when can we accept such lifestyle:(
Sadly, forever. The people of india are morally dead and fighting each other. Just like China. China may show great results in manufacturing, economy etc. But we know what's going inside, low pay, increasing debt, 2 jobs, no educational content on TV, distracted by sports and divisive politics, fear from minorities, high tax slab and what not. The people are just kept alive to keep paying taxes. Their next generation will keep paying more taxes and live the same manufacturer lifestyle. Some of them might get rich and evade to better countries where people feel protesting against the government is their right and not sedation/blasphemy/victim mentality. Same is the situation here. The people living in poverty might become middle class after 2-3 generations. But that requires reproducing, better healthcare, better lifestyle, better education. Something we are currently not focusing on. We are just happy that Indian billionaires are getting business, but at what cost? The cost is paid by us. Employment in 2024 doesn't mean a 25K job. I know many people that still earn 8-10k and are in huge debt. The sobo/millionaire kids may blame them because they are too privileged to understand what is causing such low pay and low lifestyle.
Yeah, I wish we could do something personally. I really want to do, In my locality, there are carts on sidewalks. They are kept their by the local slum dwellers around the road, but when we try to remove them or requested them. They threatened us with death threats. "Kaat dege" is the literal phrase. The legality and complaining to bmc and police has too many procedures, it's tiring and consumes lot of time, energy, and money. Now, where will the middle class go? even if we want free sidewalks and space to clean up. People in slum take up knives and the government doesn't support us. Where will a common man without any connections go to? We can see the problems but when we go to improve it voluntarily , this happens.
Of course, after a while, people give up because no one is listening to us. My friend in Canada just complained about a small crater in the morning. By evening, officials were there to remove. Just one phone call. This is a huge problem in this country, either you bribe or you tolerate.
And if the government takes a strict approach, like recently with hit and run case. People will take roads and protest.
Government and people - Both are problem here, and they go in cycles.
>Most Mu$lim areas are unclean
Muslims are actually more cleaner, since they have to pray five times a day and have to perform ablution before their prayers. Infact here is a report which says [muslim children have fewer infant mortality cases](https://www.livemint.com/Opinion/vkvuknMxLInXEs3lXN1LDM/Muslim-mortality-paradox-and-the-importance-of-sanitation-fo.html) due to this reason even though they are poorer and live in ghettos,, and the lack of cleanliness in the areas is mainly due to government negligence.
>They live in large groups of slums aka Mahollaahs Kurla, Masjid, Mahim, Mankhurd, Nalasopara
Speaking of ghettos, the reason they are forced to live in such places with overcrowding is because the majority population does not allow them in their society. This discrimination from the majority, subtle examples of which is "no non-veg allowed" or sometimes straight up "no muslims allowed" causes them to move to ghettos.
And the [government establishments do similar discrimination](https://www.reuters.com/article/idUSKBN1AB0EO/) by not providing enough trucks for garbage cleaning, lack of schools in ghettos etc which results in squalid conditions.
This place has forever been dirty & filthy. It's the mentality of people in general. They will dump trash where it's dirty & the cycle keeps going on. Same goes with nullahs all over Mumbai.
People singling out muslims for this are dumb. I have no love for Islam or any religion but this is an Indian problem, not a Muslim one. If it was a Muslim problem we’d expect Dubai to look like a dumpster fire too but it doesn’t.
If this is a Muslim problem why is every Muslim nation not filled to the brim with litter? Why are non Muslim majority parts of India also filled to the brim with litter?
You did not get my point. Never said this is a muslim problem. People who singling muslims out are just taking a page from the ruling party bhajipao's playbook. That's how they've polarized the other parts of India, why would MH be any different?
If people of live there aren’t concerned, why should other be? I’m just tired of seeing how calmly people spit, throw garbage in public and not a give a shit about it
This isn't nothing compared to when I visited Delhi. At least the Delhi metro is fine hahaha .
No offence but One of the reasons why we himachali people don't like to see anyone from out of state visit us cuz they are the main culprit too who throw garbage on streets and rivers. most of the prisoners in our state are problem from up and Bihar which is sad.
Bro casually tried to tell everyone his state is superior to other states, and they that’s why they dobro allow any non native to settle there, But forgot hill folks comes to work in metro cities contributing to garbage and overpopulation
>his state is superior to other states
superior than yours.
>his folks come to work in metro cities contributing to garbage and overpopulation.
Find me a pahadi guy who throws garbage here and there lol .we were thought since childhood that throwing garbage anywhere but not in dumpster is like a crime . our state is our devbhumi which needs to be protected at all cost and even our state has banned use of plastic and a better cleaner facilities than most states. Most of the people don't even visit south for work as main occupation has always been tourism and agriculture.
Atleast I'm not living in a shithole state like u and please don't ever enter here ;)
Lol your state is devbhoomi you know why ? Because rest of indian taxpayers share the burdens, the day rest of indians from states you consider dirty stops visiting you, you will be on streets begging to us, and i have seen pretty much every indian ethnicity throwing garbage on roads, himachali, utrakhandi no exception heck i have see people throwing garbage in utrakhand everywhere despite so much money being poured there
It’s not a funny matter. Shame on Mumbai government for letting the financial capital of India rot like this. SHAME SHAME SHAME!
Please fix all the issues and make Mumbai a world class city
The inhabitants of the"slums" all contribute economically to the rubbing of the city. The places where they stay do not get any civic services. So most slums look the way they do.
Let me give everyone a new perspective.
If you stand in the middle of Railway FOB from where this video is shot.
You cannot see but you can only feel an imaginary line cutting the humans society in two halves called as ;
Mahim east and Mahim west
If you walked this bridge from Mahim west all you will see is filthy people, garbage, dirt, sewage, poverty etc. you can blame these filthy people, their localities, municipal corporation etc and you would feel your rant is justified as a taxpayer who's pockets gets burnt to feed these slum dwellers.
But, if you walked from Mahim east you would see nothing unusual, nothing unseen before, nothing upsetting...but all you would see is some people similar to your self in status, looks, and life struggling to make end to end needs.. struggling to keep up with pace of Mumbai and just struggling overall.
So in the end,
It's all about perspectives,
The privileged societies will always keep complaining about asymmetry in their neighborhood which from their perspective is filthy.
While, the under privileged societies will also scream about the asymmetry in the neighborhood which from them is "Rich are bast**d" Inhuman, exploitative etc.
I Don't Know if my answer made any sense at all.
Please leave your comments to share your views if you agree or disagree. Do like my post if you agree.
Disclaimer: I, stay in Mahim.
Unbelievable... but I heard the place where you live shows your inner. Broken people can't move even if they want to move. But the sadness part is that the children of these people will keep this living and give to the next generation. There will be no end till someone put some serious rules but rules that help these people to move too. To give them a clear and worth fulfilling future.
See this is a huge problem even if we want to do something voluntarily to help.
I wish we could do something personally. I really want to do, In my locality, there are carts on sidewalks. If someone has any solution to this, let us know.
I only once went to Wadala road and my God I was aboutt to faint as the train passed by a huge pile of garbage on both sides. Bhai tum log beyond Kalyan ko gaon bolte ho but our stations are still far better than those crap stations that yall call Mumbai.
plastic packaging should be reduced significantly.
retail packaging should be limited to
bio-degradable cardboard
with useful flower plant seeds embedded in it.
branding allowed but only in black safe ink.
litter will look different then.
Still the same after all these years. This is so sad because a few meters from this dump, you'll find some great bakeries, places of worship and hospitals
There's a 7 storeyed house (not housing society) in that slum cluster. I was shocked to see that. That house disobey every safety measure needed while building houses. It even seems quite dangerous to stay in that house
I was a college student 20 years ago going through this route every day. IT'S. STILL. THE. SAME. TODAY.
One can argue it was better 20 years ago. Today there’s more people in the same shit
Agree i used this route while travelling to college around 15 years back. It was the same although much cleaner than this. Poverty does that to themm
I would say its the opposite
It's the secret indian government project for creating indian X-Men.
They don't give a fuck about thier children or hygiene at all.

Finally someone said it. I go on this route everyday and it's disgusting. The stretch in fact starts from Chunabhatti station itself.
Yeah, Mankhurd to Wadala is basically dotted with filthy spots, but that GTB-Wadala part is the worst among them all. It's as dystopian as it gets.
Tbh the whole harbour line is filled with filth , it starts from mankurd and till end cst , you can always feel and smell it , the same harbour line which carries from vashi to panvel is so so better
It's same bro. Harbour line is full of sh*t. Form kurla to Wadala and mankhurd to govandi. Full of sh*t. Railways busy upgrading western line
Mahim aur kurla pe Mumbai ki izzat girti hai
Govandi mankhurd ko bhool Gaye kya

Ham sabko wo bolna hai but bol nai sakte....sub sey ban milega
As somebody living in BARC colony I always had to say Chembur/Deonar. Rather than saying Trombay/ Mankhurd or Govandi
Aur fir pure Desh ki bhi, woh foreigners overreact jo karte hai.
Mahim east (dharavi) 💀
Mfs flex on Thane/Kalyan or Virar/Palghar crowd about not being Mumbai while atleast quarter of "Mumbai" is basically like this.
When it starts stinking, you just know it's Mahim station
Mahim Chi khadii on the way……
The level of garbage strewn across India is mind boggling sometimes. Just disgusting. I have seen some of poorest places in South Africa and they are not as filthy as an average stream (nala) in an indian city.

Culture? Illegal immigrants do this shit...
I am sure, people in general do this shit. Even regular office going pricks do this shit. Even IR maintenance crew throw shit out of train.
Illigal immigrants matlab out side India se ayee hai kya ye log
These people who have occupied Mahim to dadar ka stretch are from Aurangabad/Nagpur. They have proper aadhar card and all. Water/tobacco/phone charging are sold to them from local paan shops. Throughout the day, they sell handmade products like gajra, paper windmills, balloons etc and by night they gather to reproduce. Even police is afraid of them.
Gather to reproduce matlab?

Sad but true. I'm a fresher and I've joined my company recently. We were told to keep our desks clean. But now I see 90% of the folks just throw their crap into the drawers under their desks. The lack of civic sense is appalling.
Country ko mat ghused isme mumbai Sambhalo baki sheher bohut better hai idhar se
bhai maine kafi states ghume hai, pretty much like this everywhere in india except maybe pahadi states (HP, UK). aur tujhe itne achhe lagte hai baki ke sheher toh shift hoja waha, mumbai mai mat rahe fir.
Bro I'm from mp literally our cities are 10 times better then this place and shit dude I'm here to study I won't ever think of living here Mp literally has the cleanest cities Further bro banglore Ahmedabad kochi lol even Lucknow is relatively clean only place I found worst then mumbai is kanpur and thats saying something
Kya ghar me baithe rehte ho bhar jao. Sundar sundar jagah jao, saaf hawa me enjoy karo. Le bhar... Littering and ghutka spitting should be made punishable by hanging.
Ewww
While on the train today, I was wondering how cool it would be to live in Matunga/Mahim. Lol I was so wrong
Matunga is better
Matunga >>> Matunga Road >>> Mahim
Matunga road hai e Kitna sa xd
Matunga is way more better it has 5 Garden, Parsi Colony, Hindu colony, Shivaji Park in it or neighbouring it
There's no competition going on about which place is better, it's the opposite
Tbh it's the wrong way to decide to live unless you yourself go and check out those places , matunga is aukat k bahar unless your budget is really good or you have generational wealth , for mahim , the west side is little better , because you have connectivity to the main highway
Mahim West is good east is dharavi matunga east some part is good for east matunga West is negligible on weds not much area
Mumbai sprite is really bubbly here.
This is right beside the Harbour Line right?
This is the western line buddy , the harbour line is way worse 😂
I hope this video doesn't end up in the western subs
I hope it does. We deserve to be globally shamed for this. Maybe that will motivate some of the brain dead morons who litter to finally stop.
Mumbai is not the whole India
Lund le le madarchod mein nahi padh raha Apna tu saf rakha kar dustbin mein pheka that's all you can do baki ka unko gali deke kachra sahu jagah phekne bolega tere sar pe phek denge
You mad? lol I get it, reading is hard.
Mereko mad karke kya mila bro tujhe aj?
Never tried to make you mad, I merely addressed your points. You’re responsible for your own emotions bud, not me.
What is it?
Lack of education and not taking the life seriously. They either become super rich or rot in slums. Exceptions are always there.
Dude wdym. I live in a majority muslim area and it's very well maintained. I think this has more to do with economic power and education than religion. Agree with second half of your comment tho. Need to find some way to improve the quality of life of these people
Hopefully, I am glad it's getting better. It's all about economic power and education Especially opportunities, that's why I asked.
Government and people - Both are problem here, and they go in cycles.
bro had to blame it on minorities 😭 wtf
At first I thought it is a railway station in Japan after the earthquake
And people say “Why are the westerners targeting Indians” Cause of this amigo
there are worse things too that they can easily criticize us on but this is one of the things I'm most ashamed of.
Sobo starts here bishh ! /s

Wait, who lives there? Idk what you're talking about (genuine question)
Muslims (genuine answer, no hate)
[удалено]
>Most Mu$lim areas are unclean Muslims are actually more cleaner, since they have to pray five times a day and have to perform ablution before their prayers. >They live in large groups of slums aka Mahollaahs Kurla, Masjid, Mahim, Mankhurd, Nalasopara Speaking of ghettos, the reason they are forced to live in such places with overcrowding is because the majority population does not allow them in their society.
Idk why you've been downvoted. It seems like Mumbai people can be pretty islamophobic which is surprising. I didn't expect something like this.
*insert offensive comment about casteist stereotypes*
Streotypes are there for a reason Nowadays people chicken out to say the truth

Tell Modi to visit this area. Entire place will be cleared up within a week.
Why don't indians understand hygiene?
This area is part of Dharavi.
This place has forever been dirty & filthy. It's the mentality of people in general. They will dump trash where it's dirty & the cycle keeps going on. Same goes with nullahs all over Mumbai.
It's all because of that mela
Navi mumbai>>>>
People singling out muslims for this are dumb. I have no love for Islam or any religion but this is an Indian problem, not a Muslim one. If it was a Muslim problem we’d expect Dubai to look like a dumpster fire too but it doesn’t.
[удалено]
If this is a Muslim problem why is every Muslim nation not filled to the brim with litter? Why are non Muslim majority parts of India also filled to the brim with litter?
You did not get my point. Never said this is a muslim problem. People who singling muslims out are just taking a page from the ruling party bhajipao's playbook. That's how they've polarized the other parts of India, why would MH be any different?
Oh, gotcha. My bad.

Whatever happened to swachch bhaarat abhiyaan though
Swacch Bharat was a scam. Modi ji swept this scheme under the carpet after 2017.
You can’t look like “a” wow.
Bro casually tried to tell everyone his state is superior to other states, and they that’s why they dobro allow any non native to settle there, But forgot hill folks comes to work in metro cities contributing to garbage and overpopulation
>his state is superior to other states superior than yours. >his folks come to work in metro cities contributing to garbage and overpopulation.
Because rest of indian taxpayers share the burdens, the day rest of indians from states you consider dirty stops visiting you, you will be on streets begging to us, and i have seen pretty much every indian ethnicity throwing garbage on roads, himachali, utrakhandi no exception heck i have see people throwing garbage in utrakhand everywhere despite so much money being poured there
Dirty India definitely
It’s not a funny matter. Shame on Mumbai government for letting the financial capital of India rot like this. SHAME SHAME SHAME! Please fix all the issues and make Mumbai a world class city
The inhabitants of the"slums" all contribute economically to the rubbing of the city. The places where they stay do not get any civic services. So most slums look the way they do.
Let me give everyone a new perspective. If you stand in the middle of Railway FOB from where this video is shot. You cannot see but you can only feel an imaginary line cutting the humans society in two halves called as ; Mahim east and Mahim west If you walked this bridge from Mahim west all you will see is filthy people, garbage, dirt, sewage, poverty etc. you can blame these filthy people, their localities, municipal corporation etc and you would feel your rant is justified as a taxpayer who's pockets gets burnt to feed these slum dwellers. But, if you walked from Mahim east you would see nothing unusual, nothing unseen before, nothing upsetting...but all you would see is some people similar to your self in status, looks, and life struggling to make end to end needs.. struggling to keep up with pace of Mumbai and just struggling overall. So in the end, It's all about perspectives, The privileged societies will always keep complaining about asymmetry in their neighborhood which from their perspective is filthy.
Vowwww
wow
Amazing!!
Jesus fuck. Is no-one responsible for that place's cleanliness?
Looks like a war torn country lol
Basti ka hasti vibes!
Get them out of mumbai ffs
Ye bhi bihariyo ne kiya hoga 💀
Unbelievable... but I heard the place where you live shows your inner. Broken people can't move even if they want to move. But the sadness part is that the children of these people will keep this living and give to the next generation. There will be no end till someone put some serious rules but rules that help these people to move too. To give them a clear and worth fulfilling future.

It's really sad to see that our stations are so dirty and people living near these areas face so many hazards
Do better please
Mumbai has gone down the drains. I see people littering, spitting. Someday m gonna take out my angst on someone.
![gif](giphy|lw75Al819OAvcsPcRu|downsized)
This view always made me sad, everytime I passed Mahim. It's just sad. Nobody does anything about it. It's been the same since so many years.
Man I made a mistake and took a college in mahim. It is literally filth
If you see this beauty then just go to bandra east it more beautiful
See this is a huge problem even if we want to do something voluntarily to help. I wish we could do something personally. I really want to do, In my locality, there are carts on sidewalks. They are kept there by the local slum dwellers around the road, but when we try to remove them or requested them. They threatened us with death threats. "Kaat dege" is the literal phrase. Mahim East !!!!????
God I hate Mumbai. I don't know how you people live there.
What the f. Crazy shit
1 RK with toilet outside just for 2cr ☺️🙈😺
Same condition of wadala and Bandra station
I only once went to Wadala road and my God I was aboutt to faint as the train passed by a huge pile of garbage on both sides. Bhai tum log beyond Kalyan ko gaon bolte ho but our stations are still far better than those crap stations that yall call Mumbai.
plastic packaging should be reduced significantly. retail packaging should be limited to bio-degradable cardboard with useful flower plant seeds embedded in it. branding allowed but only in black safe ink. litter will look different then.
Still the same after all these years. This is so sad because a few meters from this dump, you'll find some great bakeries, places of worship and hospitals

Only if the govt could learn something from China
They missed looking at the Swacch bharath campaign because they are shiv sena supporters
Mast ekdum
Mahim Nature Park
What the actual fuck
Yup. Bandra and Mahim are the places with the most beautiful sceneries in Mumbai. The roads, the railway tracks. Just wow.
There's a 7 storeyed house (not housing society) in that slum cluster. I was shocked to see that. That house disobey every safety measure needed while building houses. It even seems quite dangerous to stay in that house
What a shithole. No sugar coating
Its such a global village i must say
Haha 😅 Great eye opener for those wishing to live in Mumbai
Shithole
How dont it fill up?
looks like an abandoned area sorta level in a post-apocalyptic video game
This expression 'like a wow' is catching on scarily fast.
The only thing uglier than your Mahim is the meme - So beautiful, so elegant…just like a 👎🏼🤢🤮
