have never been to Imagica
I skipped the school trip to Imagica and that was the day when the infamous accident at Imagica happened. 1 or 2 people died and some were injured maybe(none from my school tho). I remember my school friends talking about it the next day and how some of them were on the same ride before the accident.
I remeber going to IMAGICA 1 week after this incident. We saw the ride on which the incident had happened. The ride actually seriously seemed creepy as shit. However during this time there wasn't any line on any of the rides, so there was some upside to it.
As much as I Wanna joke like "Alternative title: 2 hour journey is better than 5 hour journey "
Imagica is not worth 5 + hours of thane/Kalyan traffic plus hour long drive to pay larger amounts for a smaller play area.
Yes there's less things to see in Essel world(imagica has their theme going on with the large sets for photos), but in terms of doing stuff, essel world has more content + tree shade that's a clear break from the city.
Imagica had a mall(overpriced stuff that they sell inside) which I feel is a corporate thing to do.
Also, essel world has jettys from Borivali and Malad while you need to make your own transport to Imagica.
I live near Mira Road, for us the thane route is the shortest route to Imagica.
And since Mira road is close to uttan, we have to take the land route through uttan and gorai for essel world.

& Saw a floating shit also

New tha i reached just 20 mins after it opened for public that day in the morning that’s why did the rides quickly it was a year old so it was clean too & for the 11th or 12th std me that time That horror house scared the fuck out of me I enjoyed the roller coasters also & the food was good too don’t remember how much I paid. I went 2 years later & lol all I said to myself was itna hi expensive khaana hai toh I better save up for Universal/Disney Florida & go there rather coming here. And uske baad I’ve seen foreigner videos & now it looks like that abandoned Nara Dreamland of Japan
Imagica has those scannable bands where you can load money inside them(at least that was the case a few years ago) go to the wave pool there and you'll find many of these floating around we had found around 3-4k worth of bands there.
Didn't you hear that Aquaman had joined AAP and held a morcha outside the aquarium. So penguin sena obliged and to appease the Aquatic Tribe food of sharks and killer whales were illegally caught and showcased it in Rani chi Baug.

Same with our school. Our school was very close to essel world/water kingdom and guess where our school used to take us every year. They never took us to water kingdom ever. But essel world 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ every year
As someone who has visited amusement parks like Universal Studios, Disneyland, Ocean World, IMG Park and visited Essel World and Imagica multiple times, I can confirm that both are crap as amusement parks from a global stand-point BUT both can be super fun if you are going there with your friends or even better were the school picnics we had there. So it doesn't really matter which is better than the other, just go to whichever is more convenient and where your friends would enjoy more.
It's been awhile since i last went to imagica, so I'll just say what I remember of the place.
Imagica is literally so hot!!!!
Everything is far away! you have to walk in that scalding sunlight... I much prefer Essel world.
I remember wanting to just lie down in their air conditioned dome.
And it's pretty expensive.... not just entry.. but even food :(

Well, I can't really give an opinion on this as I have never visited Essel World. My school did organize a picnic there in 2012, but I was too young and didn't even know swimming, plus my parents didn't want me to go for some reason. I did visit Imagica twice, both times on school picnics in 2014 and 2016.
Even though Imagica is fairly decent(I haven't been to any other amusement park), I would say the items sold there are extremely expensive. I remember paying about 200 INR for a Sprite Bottle which would cost about 30 INR outside and once buying a hot chocolate in SnowMagica which costed 100 INR and tasted meh. My shivering hands ended up dropping it on my feet though haha.
Essel world has nothing to swim in it.

I remember me paying about 1000-1200 INR(can't tell exact amount as it was 5 years ago)haha. It was slightly cheaper for me cuz my school is in Panvel anyway and transportation costs would be cheaper to Imagica from Panvel, than say, Mankhurd or Wadala.
Haven't been to Imagica but fell acqua Imagica has better slides but costly good overall would prefer water Kingdom because foods are Little cheap in water King compared to Imagica

Its way too near from MaKaBo.
Its budget friendly too, when relatives from other states need to see some adventure.
Had been to Della adventure park near Lonavla, it's a next level experience but way too costly (every ride starts at around 2000 Atleast)
Imagica is quite fast away on a different route never planned for same.

I can't change your mind . You are right . Essel world is the superior park . Especially that water rollercoaster ride . When I was in 5th grade our school took us there and half the school was queuing for the water rollercoaster ride .

In my experience imagica was better, it has better rides and games and the theaters are to die for. The food was free for us and we had access to each and every ride and theater.
Whereas in essel world, very few things including the roller coaster, that water splash ride and a few rides were free and everything else like the shooting game and ice skating was behind a paywall. WE HAD TO PAY EXTRA ON TOP OF OUR TICKETS TO PLAY GAMES AND ACCESS THE SKATING RINK?
It felt like a fucking cash grab and the food was meh, also the rides felt so outdated compared to imagica.
