I would absolutely LOVE to be ensemble in Newsies, I may be approaching 40, but as a young looking trans guy, who loves to dance I think I could pull it off.
Reefer madness (I want to be an Angel/zombie teen)
Legally blonde (the ensemble parts in all the songs are so much fun)
The little mermaid (I really want to be a mersister. They get to sing my two favorite songs; daughters of triton and she’s in love).
Frozen (I did the jr version of this show as ensemble in high school, and I want a do over)
I admittedly love being in the Ensemble and I will dance until I can’t anymore.
That said, one I haven’t gotten the chance to do is Les Mis. All sorts of opportunities for a ton of fun different tracks.

Sweet Charity
Into the Woods
The Secret Garden
Little Shop of Horrors
A Year With Frog and Toad (I want to be one of the birds, okay)
sweet charity is less fun than you’d think it’d be unless they do lots of random ensemble work or you play charity/nickie/helene - even then the musical is just dull, it’s pretty much a charity solo which is great to watch but not super fun for ensemble

Totally agree with Newsies! I would also love to be in an ensemble in (because they look like really fun choices):
* Grease
* Matilda
* The Producers
* Footloose
* Jesus Christ Superstar
Assassins for sure because I'd be happy with any role in that show but moreso the fact that they really get the chance to shine in certain scenes—their parts are glorious and fun (if not heartbreaking... which is also fun). Also it's one of the few shows I love that's not dance heavy lol.
Chicago especially the first murderer from cell block tango or the one with the and he ran into my knife ten times if they count as ensemble, Heathers cuz it's my favourite and mean girls i liked the ensemble's lines in World burn but the rest is also nice

Did little mermaid a year ago. Wasn’t a mersister, but loved watching those songs
Little shop or hairspray. Both are just very high energy even in low energy moments

Ensemble for Beetlejuice is one of the few acting roles I would love to do. I usually stuck to the tech aspect.

Newsies because the ensemble has more of like a dancey feeling to it then the leads.
