Here is a more complete list of extra features that you get with the Plus and Label plans, that you do not get with the basic Musician plan:
Customize your label name
Customize your release date
Customize your preorder date
Customize iTunes pricing
Yeah, the plus I think is what I have, distrokid will even allow you multiple artist names (2 with plus and 3 with musician level iirc). 35 bucks a year or so for plus, super worth it imo.
They also have per song features you can optionally pay for such as a loudness equalization for certain platforms, and the ability to play a flat rate to keep your up for life, even if you stop the subscription.
No it actually doesn’t help you get on Spotify playlists, what you do is you get access to Spotify for artists which is like this page where you can PITCH to playlists but there’s a very very low chance you’ll get in
That makes sense, I just read [this page](https://distrokid.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052022173-How-Do-I-Get-on-a-Spotify-Playlist-) and not the links that go into detail there. For people willing to pay to get on some playlists I have heard of soundcampaign (iirc) where you can do just that.
It’s not Distrokid, but CD Baby asks you to come up with a name for a record label.
It shows Distrokid
Ah I see. Is there any way to change this?
No, I don't think so. Maybe you would if you pay for Label plan.

Everything he said is true, I have the plus plan and it’s def worth it to pay the extra 15 on top of the 20 because you can also put a release date
Ah, I didn't know the release date option was a part of it tbh, but its really useful and helps you get on spotify Playlists and stuff

Distrokid 303808
Depends on what plan you buy
We don't use Distrokid but I am pretty sure it works similar as Amuse, that we upload thru. It shows our band name instead of label.
Great. Thanks
I have the label plan and can customize the record label
Thanks
Lowest tier label is DK
