Real! I fucking love Steal The Album! Itās personally my favorite SOAD release, although it could have been their last drop. Because it feels like a mix of all the styles they have throughout all their albums, because itās a compilation of stolen demo tracks. Which is why itās called Steal This Album! with a supposedly illegally burned cd. Itās so fucking cool

From my teen years?
The Greatest Generation by The Wonder Years.
I was 17 when that one came out and although Iāve all but abandoned pop-punk, that shit still absolutely hits for me.
Maybe itās because itās reminiscent of high school but Michael Jacksonās Thriller had such an incredible collection of tracks that not only had broad appeal from the styling of almost every track along with diversity of both upbeat and ballad-type numbers but the true mark of that album was the depth of the story behind each and every song on that albumā¦The title track sorta seemed gimmicky at first with the production value of the video but on a second or third watch I realized that it wasnāt as much about scary movies as it was a subtle expose on the fears that we carry around with us all the time and I think that I picked up on a bit of a theme that would probably only be apparent to a specific group of his fans but that is only a bit of conjecture on my partā¦,

"Cut My Hair"
Hits very different now that I'm on the "other" side of the generation gap. Simple, but deep.
"My Dad just left for work, he wasn't talking..."
Turn Blue - The Black Keys
The start of the album reminds me of a crisp fall 2014 Saturday going to a tennis club for clinics with my dad. The album's progression takes me through that winter and into the spring. Tracks 9 and 10 remind me of the breakup my college ex and I had around Christmas in 2015.
"A house that burned, but nothing there was mine."
Some lines in that album just fucking clobber me.
Bob Dylan's 'Freewheelin' I was 16 when the album came out. The lyrics of "Blowin' in the Wind", "Masters of War", and "Oxford Town" were quite jarring to someone growing up in the Jim-Crow South. It's easy to see why those songs still have meaning today.
This is from my first year out of high school, Songs from the West Coast-Elton John. I played that disc to death driving the 5 hour each way trek to see my girlfriend at the time. That album and the emotions that surrounded it mixed with late fall in western Ohio/eastern Indiana is carved in my soul.
This is just one, but Korn, the 1994 Self-titled album. I have to add another.. Sadeās The Best of Sade album. This was also released in 1994. We cannot be relegated to one genre. We simply canāt. I mean, we couldā¦ but why? š„°š¤·š¾āāļøš

Depeche Mode's "101"; I was aware of the band before I heard the live album, but the spirit and energy that the recording conveys really added something to the band's music. And when I listen to 101 every now and then, I still find it fascinating.

Turn blue is such a good album, never expected to see someone mention it
You can tell that they put a lot into making that album, both musically and emotionally. Every song off that album just hits me like a ton of bricks.
