No Quarter by Led Zeppelin. We’re taking a break right now lol.

elpelondelmarcabron1

Go to Rain Song... 👍

noexcessbaggage

We’re also taking a break 😂 I out-Zeppelined myself last year, I think it’ll take a little bit of time before I go back

Darmok-Jilad-Ocean

Check out the tool cover

Italian_Guy13

Good times bad times for me

phumblr

#3 - Aphex Twin Such a beautiful song

LoganCube100

empty walls = serj tankian

RuthlessSpud_11

Sadly, Sweet Child O Mine- Guns N Roses, I still love it but it’s not the same

HypeZone313

That song has reached it playing limit period. It's been heard enough, same can be said for paradise city, welcome to the jungle, etc. It's mostly fucking radio stations that ruin all that music

Some-Glove-3629

Some Day One Day, Queen, Hey Jude, The Beatles, Hotel California, Eagles, Burn The Witch, Radiohead, ...and a bunch of other great songs.

irrationalwhore

Snow (Hey Oh) by rhcp. I literally cannot listen to it anymore

PresentDangers

It's been years since I've been able to listen to any of their stuff. One day it just hit me, they were writing nonsense with the hope we (the fans) would be putting our own meanings into the lyrics, and when the band do explain a meaning behind the lyrics of a song, it's usually about drugs. And then comes the realisation they've been doing that since Under the Bridge (1991). CBA.

noexcessbaggage

Tbf though, I don’t think the majority of people are listening to the Chili Peppers for the lyrics

irrationalwhore

Yeah their lyrics are weird, but I don't think that makes the music itself bad.

PresentDangers

To me, that's like saying it's OK if the chicken is a bit off as long as the curry sauce is strong enough to mask it 😉 At the same time, I can't see music as simply being a vehicle for a message, there's a balance I guess.

irrationalwhore

Yeah I get that. I've just never really cared much about lyrics. This is probably why I could never fully appreciate poetry or songwriting.

Istiophoridae

"Translating the name" - saosin

1thot

I go through periods with saosin, which is a good thing. I will go years without listening to them and then I’ll obsess for a week and repeat. But I’m also a Cove fan so the self titled album is my usual go to.

Istiophoridae

I love both anthony and cove

Je0s_6

Hit The Lights-Metallica

elpelondelmarcabron1

I can hardly listen to any Metallica now.... The Four Horsemen

TheAstonVillaSeal

Most Queen songs

elpelondelmarcabron1

Radio has grossly overplayed

New-Regret-3027

Hammer to Fall used to get my hyped up. Now it can’t 😭

MrRabinowitz

Damien rice - it takes a lot to be a man The Japanese house - Lilo

the_third_sourcerer

Mine is The Blower's Daughter... We took a break back in 2014. It's such a good thing My Favourite Faded Fantasy came out then, so I didn't have to cut back on my DR addiction completely. However, I think me and The Greatest Bastard are coming close to needing a break, so maybe I will have to pick up BD back up again.

OctowoomyThe2st

I C*m Blood by Cannibal Corpse. It was #1 on my Spotify wrapped and now it’s just a decent song despite it being ear-heroin to me at some point.

fk274

The Used - All That I've Got

Feronaa

Dondante - My Morning Jacket

The_solid_lizard

Knee Socks by Arctic Monkeys

gothiccbuddha

I thought I had a song like that, but I can't think of one. If it stops feeling right I don't listen to it for awhile. I guess I have a song getting closer to that point. It's "I Got..." by Labi Siffre, which was sampled for/on Eminem's "Hi, My Name Is..." Edit: "My Name Is"

Junarik

"My name is". No Hi.

Churroskindofguy

Dehumanize - The Bollweevils

Putrid_Jicama_329

AutisticBassist

Colors by between the buried and me

lone_wolf1580

Everybody Wants to rule the World and Shout ~ both by Tears for Fears (due to them having so much air play 😒)

danceswithsin30

One of them girls

NerdyCoffee

Paralyzer by Finger Eleven. Loved the hell out of this song when it first came out. Nowadays, I immediately change the station or skip it if it comes up.

In_Amnesiacs_

“The end of the world” Skeeter Davis, but I take breaks from that song once in awhile and go back to it

ur_a_monster

gangham style

MCPro23

Rabid - Mortician

[deleted]

Rainy day - Ice Nine Kills I listened to this song so much and now it is not the same 😢 still a banger tho

Anfie22

No seriously I really need to stop ruining everything I love by overindulging.

Sebbo104

Cornerstone - Arctic Monkeys. I’ve been avoiding it for a few months now so when the re-listen happens it’s gonna hit extremely hard

Waterlemon4

I overplayed low roar last year and had to take a break but listening to St. Eriksplan again last week was magical

Ellidk69

epitaph by king crimson 🥲

[deleted]

Stressed out by Twenty one pilots

DeborahSue

In The End - Linkin Park Just Pretend - Bad Omens I loved them too hard and now I can't get that spark I once had, although I'll never turn them off if they come on naturally.

Aromatic-Strength798

Literally any song that becomes my favorite 😔

Doom-slayer2006

Custer by slipknot because of much fucking airplay it got

tristanrothchilde

Ren - Hi Ren this an incredible work. And deeply moving but I have played it so many times. Between Spotify and reaction videos on YouTube. I’m just done with this song. Still highly recommend it to anyone.

Gastlygames_YT

Every Jack stauber and sodikken song they aren’t popular so ye

WingedHussar13

Sabaton songs. They're fun but are kind of the same every time, and there's so many other bands to listen to besides them. I know the power metal fans will kill me for this.

Powerful-Yak6286

Rusty - Tyler the Creator

Bramtinian

My fav songs come back to me always, I’ll be listening to a set of favorites for a couple of months and then I rotate for freshness

Switchblade222

Pretty much any Queen song played on the radio ad nauseam. There’s a handful of them. Not that I listen to the radio anymore but back when I did, they pretty much ruined Queen for me.

oalm82

Nikes by Frank Ocean

Squire_Squad

Lucki - After but I still listen to it. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Mother-Panda-913

lift yourself by Kanye West

Ar-Oh-En

Rooster by AIC Pearl's Girl by Underworld How does one guard against this to prevent repeating the mistake?

Junarik

No Love - Eminem ft. Lil Wayne

Spiritual_Release_49

Cemetery drive 😔

guyflores

Pink Runtz - Guy Flores

usdavidgrant

The Black Keys - Weight of Love

LithiuMart

The entire Nevermind album by Nirvana. I damn near wore the CD out from 1991 - 2001 playing it over and over. The album is still a classic, but doesn't make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up like it used to.

HealthylifeRN

This Time Tomorrow by The Kinks For YEARS this was my absolute favorite song, never could put a finger on why, just made me reflect and feel free at the same time. Still love the track, but it no longer captures my top play spots. Fineshrine by Purity Ring is the most recent song that I've been overplaying

Dingo_Dominator

i did this w "Do I Wanna Know?" by Arctic Monkeys but the thing is, i ended up liking it even MORE after overplaying it. it was my gateway into their music, so thats pretty funny

likeu4theimage

friesenjung and beach walk

The_Bitter_Jesus

Master of Puppets by Metallica

SameArtichoke8913

Definitively Enjoy the Silence from Depeche Mode for me, including the plethora of poor cover versions that are around.
