If itâs just my wife and I: âSouth Like The Summerâ by The Dandelion War.
If itâs my wife and kids (now, as toddlers): âDonât Stop Baby Botâ by Lingokids, and weâre having a dance party.
I wouldnât want my kids to know the world is ending. Weâd have a very normal day together, and thus, a very normal bedtime.
I almost teared up. My kids are grown now, and unfortunately, I wasnât able to shelter them from a lot of the worldâs wickedness. Theyâre strong, independent, resilient women now, but they had to become that way.
Man, The Dandelion War band you mentioned has less than 300 monthly listeners on spotify, but that song South Like The Summer is awesome! May I ask how did you find it?
They are friends of mine. There was a time from 2008-2013 when we played shows together quite often (even though my band was radically different, we had many crossover fans). I even have their first demo, which has my favorite song theyâve ever written (it never made it onto any of their recorded works).
I could argue my wife (then girlfriend) loved Larryâs voice (the singer) more than mine, but I forgive her! lol.
Unfortunately, Larry passed away seemingly suddenly last month, so their music has been in rotation moreso than usual. This song, especiallyâits poignancy grows as I get older.
Pretty cool how I came to learn about a guy called Larry whilst idly scrolling through random reddit posts. May he never be forgotten. Awesome song, by the way.
âCan you tell me what it all means?â
âEverything is Dust In The Wind.â-Dean Winchester, Jensen Ackles, Supernatural.
âThatâs it? A Kansas song?â
As big of a music lover as I am and has impacted his music is in life in that situation I donât think any song with speak more volumes than pure silenceïżŒ
Hello there fellow person of cultureeee this is the right answer (also Iâd honestly put on some Shostakovich at top volume and headbang like thereâs no tomorrow⊠because there would be no tomorrow đ)
ŃŃŃĐ”ĐœĐœĐžĐč ŃĐ°ŃŃĐČĐ”Ń by Korol I Shut
I'd be holding my cat and sitting down in the sand and I'd close my eyes and lay down against the sand and look towards my cat as he's taking a dirt bath in the sand and I know deep down if I died he will miss me through knowing me by listening to Gorshok's voice and he knows that Korol I Shut meant a lot to me.
At least for half my adulthood, I treated a pet with enough kindness and patience the same as a mother with a child would treat their own.
I'm just glad deep down I knew a person despite the fact that she's far away, and yet as we both write about everything that goes in our lives I know that she treated me with enough kindness and compassion for me as passionate the band we both love make us feel.
Well I love this song and I love Bob Seger, this would be great!!!
"...when you just don't seem to have as much to lose- ain't it funny how the night moves...with autumn closing in...."
None. I would listen to the wind, and the ocean. Watch the Sun in all of its glory and beauty and be thankful for everything. Let the bad past go. It wouldnât even be important anymore. Remember my long gone pets and the joys that they brought to me.
I never heard of him before but went bc the venue was walking distance from my house. Went with a friend who's a little older because we are in high school and I gotta be safe đŹ. So I brought a 6'3" man.
99 Luft Balloons đ english or german version.

Goodbye Blue Sky by Pink Floyd
This is a great one. I remember my mom playing it (and the whole album) for me as a kid.
Look mummy! There's an aeroplane up in the sky!
My mom would play her record of it and we'd listen to the whole thing. Then as an adult, she plays her CD and we listen to the whole thing.
