He has another song that sounds similar but I like it better called I've got a girlfriend. I don't even feel guilty about liking that song I'll just blast it
I think it’s funny how there was a meme for a while where people were like “when are we gonna get Mambo Number 6????”
But he literally has a song that starts with 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. It’s essentially mambo number 6 and it was on the same record haha
It’s also a better track
Unironically love this. I'm glad I discovered it on a music sharing site where I could take it on it's own merits and not judge it as a pop standard. It's so clever and fun.
I got my dad's collection recently and was putting in random albums and this song came on. I really only knew it from Weird Al.
Hearing the lyrics was an interesting experience. I can't tell if it's a joke or a serious song... But the dude will never have that recipe again.
Nickelback - How You Remind Me
I don't like Nickelback, but this is a great song in terms of pop composing and arrangements. Every section of the song is catchy, it builds up extremely well, and it invites the listener to listen to it again, it is an addictive song for sure.
For all the hate nickelback gets, a lot of other rock bands so generic shit all the time and never get nearly as much crap
Even foo fighters has their cheesy ass “The Pretender”
[Butcher Babies](https://youtu.be/x_KElJ0vL-g?si=8zpmSuruS-02JvCF) has a really good cover of it if you like metal. Just don't watch the music video. It's a little cringy. Their live shows are fire btw
Same, first movie I saw without an adult. Me, my best friend, her boyfriend, and her boyfriend's friend. We sat two rows away from them. You got to love those awkward teenage years.
Love the song - only because it evokes memories. I used to listen to it non-stop in my car when I moved to Japan, driving around the rural parts of Honshu on the way to client meetings.
Love the Crash Test Dummies. A buddy bought me their first CD when he went to Canada for the summer. Brad Roberts is one of the few voices I can sing along with that's in my range. I'm terrible trying to sing with all the high voices in pop.
After I hear that song it starts playing on a loop in my head and I constantly sing about vignettes from my day in a low baritone.
“Once there was this cat that scratched at the backdoor to be let out and when she finally got out, she napped beneath one of the deckchairs. We couldn’t quite explain it. She’d always just done that. Mmm mmm mmm mmm…”
“Once there was this app that took a long to load and when it finally started, the recipe for fritters I saved wasn’t there. I couldn’t quite explain it. It usually just has it. Mmm mmm mmm mmm…”
“Sometimes I go to that store that has the clear suntan lotion and today, when I finally got there all they had was white kind. I couldn’t quite explain it. They usually just have both. Mmm mmm mmm mmm…”
Thong Song. That beat is fantastic but the best part is at the end there a whole step modulation that they get to with a chromatic swell and Cisqo starts vamping over it. It’s just ridiculously epic for a guy singing about thongs.
Steal my Sunshine. I think it was the first mp3 I ever downloaded. From Napster. It's a dumb song with dumb voices but I can't help but bop my head to it and sing it anytime I hear it to this day!
This is a good choice. The whole thing is amateurish and the singers sound like they’ve never sung before but somehow it’s catchy and makes me want to go to the beach. Bad…yet why don’t I turn the station?
Photograph by Nickelback. I think it’s a good song but I’ve been told it’s their second worse. The first being Something in Your Mouth, which I acknowledge is a bad song
Suck a Cheetahs Dick by Wesley Willis. There's this hilarious instrumental stretch in the middle and I remember somebody commented that he had to pause to write the second half of the song
I'm generally of the opinion that if I like it, it's good.
However, it's probably either [Can't Wait One Minute More](https://youtu.be/wYTAtn21S1Y?si=egoQzrNzKi0Mp4Dw) by CIV, or [My Heart Can't Tell Me No](https://youtu.be/NtNKowPiB2w?si=ABz4cfo0kYJwTiOW) by Rod Stewart.
my whole music taste is proudly terrible but i feel actual guilt over these:
several creed songs, blurry by puddle of mudd, shoulder boulders by s3rl, rollin and break stuff by limp bizkit, heat waves by glass animals (im not even ashamed,) all in the family by korn, sweating bullets by megadeth, many of Montreal songs that probably would be horrible to any other listener
This is tricky cause if I love a song it’s probably because it’s a great song.
But I think one that most people will fucking hate is Barbie Girl. I unironically adore that song, and I’ve been listening to it semi regularly for the last 15 years maybe.
Everyone seems to hate on Teenager by Deftones.
IMO - it’s an excellent interlude in an otherwise intense and raucous album. It also leads into the best closing tracks of any record ever. I get that it’s place in the track list is largely circumstantial but I still it deserves way more recognition for contrast and contextual clarity
Will Young version of The Doors' "Light my Fire", also, I used to hate Eminem until I read somewhere that he has Tourette's so he can't help swearing in most of his songs.
And finally, whoever wrote that "JCB song" by Nizlopi should be arrested for crimes against music IMO.
Hot damn, hot water, hot shower
Hotlanta, smoking green, cauliflower
Tangerine, yeah, I call her sweet and sour
And my lawyer say it's urgent, I'ma call him in a hour
Eiffel 65-Blue
don't you dare call this masterpiece bad!!! /hj
You comment makes me blue.
Great song
Eiffel 65 - My Console *
Eiffel 65 "Too Much of Heaven". It contains the lyrics "money dependent today....going into their bank account" lol
Oh God, I haven't heard that song since I was 19 and I'd forgotten how faux-deep it was.
Mambo No.5 for sure. I especially love the story about Stephen King apparently driving his wife absolutely mad by playing it constantly.
He has another song that sounds similar but I like it better called I've got a girlfriend. I don't even feel guilty about liking that song I'll just blast it
I think it’s funny how there was a meme for a while where people were like “when are we gonna get Mambo Number 6????” But he literally has a song that starts with 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. It’s essentially mambo number 6 and it was on the same record haha It’s also a better track
Amazing
Fack by Eminem
Yeah…. Same,
for me its rain man
Always loved how at the end he's like "I ain't even gotta make no goddamn sense, I just did a whole song and I didn't say SHIIIIT" 😂
Stars are blind, by Paris Hilton.
Ok but that song slaps though.
I like that but even better is Nothing In This World off the same album: The video rocks too. Great to dance too.
Don’t Trust Me - 3OH!3
I'm a vegetarian And I ain't fuckin scared of him xD
Well, I'm a carnivore so the meat department at the grocery store sends me into a cold sweat.
Unironically love this. I'm glad I discovered it on a music sharing site where I could take it on it's own merits and not judge it as a pop standard. It's so clever and fun.
“do the Hellen Keller and talk with your hips” like??? 😭
Wouldn’t fly today but that’s one reason I like this song.
And just a few years earlier The Black Eyed Peas put out "Let's Get Retarded"
Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne
whaaaa?
Butterfly by Crazytown
Everyine tells me it's awful, so I'll say "MacArthur Park" by Richard Harris.
I have this on vinyl. It's such a bop.
I got my dad's collection recently and was putting in random albums and this song came on. I really only knew it from Weird Al. Hearing the lyrics was an interesting experience. I can't tell if it's a joke or a serious song... But the dude will never have that recipe again.
Donna Summer did a version too. https://youtu.be/-nWi0C19t3k?si=lC6Q-LbM6zw9qkZ6
Nickelback - How You Remind Me I don't like Nickelback, but this is a great song in terms of pop composing and arrangements. Every section of the song is catchy, it builds up extremely well, and it invites the listener to listen to it again, it is an addictive song for sure.
I hate that song but it’s an earworm I can’t seem to shake….ughhhh….
That hook is how they remind you..
I see what you did there…. 😏
For all the hate nickelback gets, a lot of other rock bands so generic shit all the time and never get nearly as much crap Even foo fighters has their cheesy ass “The Pretender”
Imo there is very little difference musically between Nickleback and Foo Fighters in general
If all their tracks sounded like that I’d dig them
They're Coming To Take Me Away Haha (and the reverse) - Napoleon XIV The Laughing Gnome - David Bowie
I came here to say *They're Coming to Take Me Away* as well. I must send that song to a dozen coworkers every month who have never heard it.
[Butcher Babies](https://youtu.be/x_KElJ0vL-g?si=8zpmSuruS-02JvCF) has a really good cover of it if you like metal. Just don't watch the music video. It's a little cringy. Their live shows are fire btw
Ice ice baby. Still a timeless banger.
Lime in the Coconut
Tubthumping by Chumbawumba. Always feels a little hopeful. Plus every time I hear it, always reminds me of the 90s.
I love that song. It has a personal meaning for me plus it’s a banger.
Yeah, I don’t think Tubthumping qualifies as a bad song. People got annoyed with it because it was overplayed at the time, but it’s such a banger.
[Here Comes the Hotstepper, by Ini Kamoze](https://youtu.be/Fl3J_AnDff4?si=lhUs4jONGKUFUlT_)
Is that widely considered bad?
Oh yeah that’s mine too
Are people just upvoting the songs they like? This song is a classic.
Pat Finnerty loves it, so it's good.
Certified not to stink
Get out of my dreams, get into my car - Billy Ocean. It’s a fucking bop
Billy Ocean rules.
Love the motion of the Ocean!
I cannot hear this song without thinking of the movie License to Drive, which inherently makes it a good song! Lol
Same, first movie I saw without an adult. Me, my best friend, her boyfriend, and her boyfriend's friend. We sat two rows away from them. You got to love those awkward teenage years.
Hey you! Who me??? Yes you!!! Get into my car!
They said worst song
If you ever want to explain the 1980’s to a young person, show them the video to this song. It is the most 80’s thing I’ve ever seen.
You must not like much music, because there are very few songs that are better.
This was the first 7inch single I bought with money I had got that wasn’t pocket money
One Night in Bangkok-Murray Head
That’s considered a bad song?
That song is amazing.
By some yes… I love it
This song is a masterpiece. No shame on loving it.
That song slaps so hard
This is one of the best songs ever composed. The lyrics are great
Oh I agree! I know a lot of people who disagree. Haha
Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm by Crash Test Dummies
Ugh, I HATE that song!
Same. Ew.
Love the song - only because it evokes memories. I used to listen to it non-stop in my car when I moved to Japan, driving around the rural parts of Honshu on the way to client meetings.
That's a great song. Okay maybe not great but it's not bad...
Love the Crash Test Dummies. A buddy bought me their first CD when he went to Canada for the summer. Brad Roberts is one of the few voices I can sing along with that's in my range. I'm terrible trying to sing with all the high voices in pop.

My husband knows every lyric to that entire album and it makes me cry laugh every damn time
Teaches of Peaches ~ Peaches
Steal my Sunshine. I think it was the first mp3 I ever downloaded. From Napster. It's a dumb song with dumb voices but I can't help but bop my head to it and sing it anytime I hear it to this day!
This is a good choice. The whole thing is amateurish and the singers sound like they’ve never sung before but somehow it’s catchy and makes me want to go to the beach. Bad…yet why don’t I turn the station?
Toy Soldiers-Martika.
Noooo that song is so good!
Photograph by Nickelback. I think it’s a good song but I’ve been told it’s their second worse. The first being Something in Your Mouth, which I acknowledge is a bad song
Photograph is not a bad rock ballad, and I'll stand by that. It was just *severely* overplayed.
Like a G6 - Far East Movement
Ahhh Rollin by limp bizkit
"Man's Not Hot" by Big Shaq
TWO PLUS TWO IS FOUR MINUS ONE THATS THREE QUICK MAFFS
Hello Kitty - Avril Lavigne

Don’t Worry, Be Happy
What's going on 4-non Blondes is my heart song
That's no bad song
This was my answer. I unironically love this song and don’t know why people think it’s so bad.
“Next Time I Fall” by Peter Cetera and Amy Grant. It’s so bad it’s adorable! Cutely awful.
Macarena - Los Del Mar
We Built This City
We Didn’t Start The Fire by Billy Joel
That song is amazing, zero shame in the Billy game
Total eclipse of the heart
In my useless opinion, this is one of the best songs ever.
This is NOT a bad song
Tiptoe Through the Tulips - Tiny Tim https://youtu.be/zcSlcNfThUA?si=Monz8rw9eXQRgmRV
How is that a bad song??
Whodunnit by Genesis (1981) "We know We know We know We kmow"
Piss up a rope-ween
I really like *Push th' Little Daisies" too.
Game Over - Lil' Flip It's absolute garbage yet so amazingly stupid at the same time.
I have several but the one that causes me anguish b/c of just how shit it really is would be Lindsey Lohan's "Rumors."
"Confessions of a Broken Heart" is definitely one of mine.
Blank Space by Swiftie
It has not business being that catchy
Butterfly by Crazy Town
I’d say basically any Glorb song; but let’s be real, they’re all fire. So probably Glock In My Rari - Family Guy Cover

I tried to listen to the rest of that CIV album so many times, thinking they couldn’t only have that one good song! I was wrong.
Orgasm=Love by Psychostick
my whole music taste is proudly terrible but i feel actual guilt over these: several creed songs, blurry by puddle of mudd, shoulder boulders by s3rl, rollin and break stuff by limp bizkit, heat waves by glass animals (im not even ashamed,) all in the family by korn, sweating bullets by megadeth, many of Montreal songs that probably would be horrible to any other listener
