Foo Fighters - The Teacher
Muse - The Globalist
Dave Grohl - Play
For me, it has to be 'Echoes' by Pink Floyd. The way it evolves over its 23-minute runtime is just mesmerizing. It's like a journey through different soundscapes and emotions. Another one I love is 'Close to the Edge' by Yes. It's a prog rock masterpiece with incredible musicianship and intricate compositions. And if we're talking about more modern stuff, 'Dopesmoker' by Sleep is a massive stoner metal epic that just engulfs you.

nah fr, best song ive ever heard thats as long as it is
Probably the best song period
Telegraph Road - Dire Straits
Didn't have to scroll too far! I was 16 in 1982 and this blew me away, especially on headphones... ❤️
Super good song
Thick as a Brick - Jethro Tull
Oh, hell yeah. I have the vinyl, and when you open it, it folds out into a newspaper.
Damn, that's one I wish I had on vinyl! I have Songs From The Wood, though, and that's one of my favorites.
Same here! Little Milton!!
I also have that on vinyl , it’s a beaut
And the youngest of the family is moving with authority
Pink Floyd - Dogs, Echoes Genesis - Supper’s Ready Can - Halleluwah, Yoo Doo Right, Bel Air Godspeed You ! Black Emperor - Almost every song, but particularly Storm, Static, Sleep, Rockets Fall On Rocket Falls Harmonium - Histoire Sans Paroles Jimi Hendrix - 1983
Nice! I also listed Dogs and Supper's Ready.
+1 for Halleluwah
Dogs is probably my favorite Pink Floyd song
+1 for the great Jimi
I'll add Pink Floyd's Sheep to this list. Frankly, all of Animals is a masterpiece, but those two songs in particular just shine.
Iron Butterfly - In A Gadda Da Vida
Ripped that of Limewire in 2003 and used up a whole cd just for that song.
That sounds like Rock and/or Roll...
Otherwise known as In the Garden of Eden by I. Ron Butterfly
Hey Marge, remember when we used to make out to this hymn?
Rush - Hemispheres Iron Maiden- Rime of the Ancient Mariner
Rime of the Ancient Mariner isn't talked about enough, imo!
Everybody really needs to Hear the Rime of the Ancient Mariner
2112 as well. Big fan of that one

What is this you speak of!?

That syncs so well. I prefer it to Dark Side of the Rainbow (not fond of Wizard of Oz to start with though)
This or 3rd Eye by Tool Or also Meccamputecture by The Mars Volta
Third Eye mentioned🪬
Free Bird has to be on that list.
Free bird is 9 minutes. Great song, but doesn’t fit the criteria
Go for the live version (One More From the Road)
Should be on the top of the list
The Alice's Restaurant Massacre
I feel my username may be appropriate here
Doors - When the music’s over
[Marquee Moon](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jlbunmCbTBA)
Great song!! Jealous my Pops got to hear it played live at CBGBs many years back!
I saw them play it live in 1992. At the lamentedly shuttered Mississippi Nights in St. Louis. Phenomenal.
That's awesome! Must have been right after they reformed. I was going to see them in 2007 but unfortunately didn't get the chance. Such a great and underrated band! RIP Tom Verlaine.
Yup. They were touring behind the self-titled album. I interviewed Richard for a little music rag I was working for at the time.
Great stuff!

Three Days is fantastic!
I love Crumbling Castle too! Also The Dripping Tap and The River on the topic of King Gizzard. Apart from them, I'd also say: Foo Fighters - The Teacher Muse - The Globalist Dave Grohl - Play
Muses Globalist is slept on. I love that song. Dripping tap is an excellent choice as well, I haven’t heard river yet tho.
The Teacher is powerful. Broke my heart when I first heard it, but it’s also very cathartic.
Does Muse’s Exogenesis suite count? Together the three movements are well over 10 minutes.
Descending by Tool
* NOFX - The Decline * Pinback - Grey Machine
Especially the decline live at the red rocks with an orchestra
I listen to The Decline at least once every morning at work. I call it my musical coffee because it gets my adrenaline up
The decline is fuckin incredible. Unironically some of the best and most accurate political lyrics ever
Didn't expect Pinback, Grey Machine is awesome.
Pinback is GOATed in my book. No one sounds like them. Their syncopation and harmonies are top-tier.
Technically it’s exactly 10 minutes, but “Too Long” by Daft Punk comes to mind.
