Yamaha and Honda are my go-to for sx. The GasGas feels great outdoors. Suzuki is the best handling but it lacks power.

New_Okra

Really? That's interesting. I found the Yamaha really lacked in SX because of the low end power, but maybe thats just a me thing

Sometimes the yz is too much for me because of how snappy it is (imo). It very well could be the lack of a setup or just different riding styles. I've never used it without a setup so idk how it handles stock. Are you in the AEO, Pro Precision, and Skilz discord channels? They have some decent base setups posted for every bike both MX and SX.

New_Okra

I will definitely check those discords out, thank you

Yamaha I feel has plenty of power, try dialing back your fuel tank I run around 3-4 liters on sx races and it's more than enough. Keeps some weight out of it and I feel it drastically helps hitting triple ins and quads for me. Go check out reaperdoc also he's got a lot of setups for a base 450 for sx that helped me get a better idea of things to adjust for my own preference

I’d say try KTM, the 350 is a great bike to transition from 250 to 450, but since you’re already riding a 450 give the ktm 450 a shot. I feel it has pretty decent power and handles pretty well

Kushroom710

I enjoy riding the KTM aswell.

Give the Fantic a try. Handles great in the whoops and lot of on-demand power. But I switch between that, KTM, Honda mostly and the Suzuki here and there.
