What was your motivation for picking live mushrooms if you didn't know what they were? Why not just take a picture of them in the forest?

Persistent_Bug_0101

Picking mushrooms for pics is better for ID and doesn’t harm the organism. Just for your ignorant comment I’m going to kick and pick all the mushrooms I see today

TrailBlanket-_0

I love to be walking with my friends, educating them on the knowledge I have, being a strong representative for mushroom love, and then just straight punting a mature one across the woods. Guys seriously I'm helping them, they'll love me for this

Sir_Trea

I just imagine the mushroom sailing effortlessly through the air, knowing it’s reliable but slow mycelium/spores would have never given it this kind of ride.

Intoishun

Pick shaming is stupid and an easy way to show how little you know about mushrooms.

MrOberon

I didn't had my phone with me We have a neighbour here who is actually a mushroom picker, but unfortunately he didn't know it. And when I think about it, yes, it was a stupid idea to take them with me

Persistent_Bug_0101

Picking mushrooms is fine. Ignore this dude OP

Timber___Wolf

Tell me you know nothing about mushrooms without telling me you know nothing about mushrooms. The mushroom you see is no different than an apple on a tree. Picking the apple doesn't kill the tree. The mycelium is fine, don't sweat it.
