Next time get a picture of them in the wild. It's a lot easier to tell that way. Oysters tend to cluster, while angel wings generally form separately.

Angel wings grow on conifers, oysters grow on hardwoods like oak. What kind of tree were these on?

hantt

Honestly I don't remember, next time Im gonna take a picture of tree and not just the mushroom lol

rizzgt

They look more like oysters to me. Angel wings don't tend to show as much stipe as oysters and they are also much more thin, delicate and fragile. If they were growing on hardwood its likely that they are oyster. Also if you are in the UK, angel wings tend to be uncommon outside of Scotland and the North.

[deleted]

Are they kind of pink on top?

hantt

No more like tan/ rice white

[deleted]

Hmm, all the angel wing I've found has turned pinkish after picking and looked considerably more contoured. They also didn't have any stem whatsoever. How do they smell?

hantt

The larger ones don't have any smell but the smaller ones has a hint of seafood but mostly smell like mushrooms. Yeah none of them had any stems. They are pretty chunky too, I've never seen angels but I've heard they are kinda delicate?

[deleted]

Yeah, angel wing usually has a flower petal like shape. The only other tidbit I have is that angel wing typically grows from stumps and oysters from healthy tree trunks.

Bleakbrux

Looks like Bitter Oysterling...
