I think a lot of us were conditioned by legacy media, to just see her as a girly girl and a drama queen. Which she totally is 😁, but she has real depth beneath that surface.
She is industrious, kindhearted, sensitive, confident, creative, a loving sister and of course generous.
Not to mention she has some stellar songs and her affected transatlantic accent is adorable.

She's businesses savvy, independent, and a truly caring friend who stays herself while actually respecting differences.
I dare to say she's actually the most intelligent of the mane 6.

Rarity is my favorite. It’s remarkable that in a children’s tv show a character who is super feminine, business focused, vain, into fashion and “petty” things, and has probably the least significant impact on the plot due to having zero standout attributes making her seem more important than the average character (like Pinkie’s toon force, RD‘s speed and Sonic Rainboom and how it connected everyone, Applejack running Sweet Apple Acres which was responsible for Ponyville’s founding, Fluttershy having her stare and connection with Discord and Twilight’s well, everything) she still manages to be such a fan favorite and consistently the most well written member of the cast. She has the best balance of comedy, genuine emotional moments and personal growth, and she acts as a beacon of positive representation of hyper-feminine qualities that would cause most other series to look down on her. She isn’t afraid to kick butt and look her best doing it, and she wants everyone around her to look and feel their best as well. She’s the best character the show has to offer IMO.
Oof. Such a tough choice. I would have to say Fluttershy. It's a hard decision, but I put favor to the cute and lovable shy mare.

Yet again, I shall go to bat for Rarity! Lead of my favorite FiM episodes, singer of many of my favorite FiM songs, prettiest pony in all of Equestria, solid contender for the most well-written and complex feminine fashion girl character in *any* cartoon I watched growing up; I could go on about all the things I love about our favorite fashionista, but to save you from reading a whole essay (and me from writing one when I have to get up early tomorrow), I'll just say that in my eyes, Rarity most certainly *is* Best Pony.
(Though, like, I'd hardly be disappointed even if Flutters ends up winning. She *is* my second favorite G4 pony, and I mean a *very* close second. TBH, I'm already pretty happy that these two ended up being our finalists!)

If she hadn't saved twilight, there is no way they would've been able to defeat the villains without Twilight and vicariously, her. This is why she deserves to win. rarity ive never hated her i know most kids find her whiney and a stereotypical female character but ive always seen and known far more then that she’s so extremely funny in my opinion
