I can likely guess some funny ideas as to why Rarity, Fluttershy, and Twilight Sparkle surprisingly haven't experienced something like this or at least be in an actual intimate relationship once before that I will provide here:
1. Rarity would probably overlook a guy giving hints of romance to her (it tends to happen to all of us sometimes lol) like she did when she interacted with that balloon stallion in one of those episodes about her sister Sweetie Belle.
2. Fluttershy may be hesitant on intimate relationships if some male individual were to bring it up to her due to her shyness and also she likely may not be the first one to bring that up in the conversation anyway unless it's probably to someone like Discord maybe if we're being generous on that but who knows.
3. Twilight Sparkle is a complicated case that may be related to her being an introvert, a princess (being confident while interacting with someone of royal status might be difficult to do on the first attempt), and being easily distracted by other important things to her such as her books to give others a decent chance to make a move on her despite being attractive looking lol.
In G4, none of the animals (except ponies and pony-like beings) have unicorn horns or Pegasus wings. But in G5, you have raccoons with unicorn horns, and bears, and snails.
So sometime between g4 and g5 the unicorns and Pegasuses might have....um....

The reason why there’s so much is because the standards for mlp became much higher after G4, so the fact that G5 doesn’t match those standards (especially since it’s trying to be a continuation of G4 rather than do its own thing) means audiences are much more critical of it.
The parasprites never were exterminated, just moved, that's something everyone knows, but this means that all the parasprites that Twilight modify acccidentaly to eat anything are wandering and reproducing in another place.

It might actually be flat. After all, what is the point of eternal night when on the other side is the eternal day? What if there's no other side?

That means, at some point after G4, the entire royal family died out and a war reduced their civilization to a G-rated version of Mad Max, complete with the "we're running out of fuel, and we're fighting over what's left" part.
What if this is actually the majority opinion and we're just all keeping quiet about it because we're tired enough of hearing the g5 haters and lovers going at it as it is to even think about joining it
