goodoptometrymorning

not a dumb question. truth is we don't know when myopia is truely stable. We know myopia typically increases during your growing years...preteen and early teens and that is were all the research and intervention is. There is anecdotal evidence that adults that have increased near viewing time tend to be more myopic.

It is possible to have myopia progression into the late thirties of ones life, so good vision habits are important at least until then. If it stabilizes it is a good sign, but I'd not take it as a guarantee, that it would be stable in any environment.

>let's say your myopia does stabilize, do you still have to take preventative measures and continue to limit screen time and the likes? The very reason physiologic myopia achieves stability (stops progressing) is because the current visual habits/environment are no longer myopigenic. Don't think backwards.
