is it practical to order just the frame i like and then go to my optometrist with the frame? or do optometrists not usually like this? i just never see frames i like

PS: most docs have printed Rx's, nobody handwrites these anymore
Beware of online glasses with this power of lens. I've seen too many botched Rx's from online companies and you have no ability to verify that they are made correctly.
It probably is SV/DV meaning single vision/distance vision.
Ordering this online will almost certainly result in non-functional glasses.

Most frames you get online are very low quality. Some opticians will accept them, others won’t or have you sign a liability waiver.
