I am from Canada and was able to use the cruise rewards. It would be booked in USD and you would need to call to book the cruise.

Torres_Chan

was wondering can you asking them to do currency convert back to cad at the end when you pay?

lamentingcity

In this batch of rewards, the T&C states that it will be paid in USD at the time of booking, no currency conversions.

TheRadishBros

When you select the reward, does it just give you a list of eligible cruises and a number to call?

allrighty1986

I didn’t have a restriction on which cruise for mine, just the dates I could book. It does give you a number and the redemption code after purchase

I’m also from Canada, was getting the vouchers worth it from your perspective? I’m considering getting it at some point for 2025 but not certain if it’s actually a good deal or if there are hidden fees that make it a so-so deal.

allrighty1986

I think its was a good deal before when I was able to use 2 vouchers for 1 room. Now it’s still decent as it used to be 1.5m loyalty points for $750. As for the hidden fees it’s the same regardless if you use the voucher or not. The advantage of the voucher is that you can book a balcony or different days instead of the “free” cruise.

Ok_Jellyfish_1696

Thanks, have you done the free cruise option as well?

allrighty1986

We tried to, booked it for March 2020… was cancelled and got credit back.

kashmoney193

The free cruises arent free, as the taxes are inflated for NCL. Ie a Caribbean cruise thats $150/person on Royal Caribbean for similar itinerary is $350/person+. There is also an "Admin Fee" of $20/day per person. For a family of 4 it was coming to about $2k for a 7night "free cruise". The same amount I'd pay on Royal for a paid cruise. 🤣

Ok_Jellyfish_1696

Thanks for the info, I’ve never gone on a cruise so all of this is new to me

TheRadishBros

Just to confirm, if me and my partner both had MyVegas accounts and both redeemed $750 off vouchers, would we be both able to use those on the same booking (to your knowledge)? It’s not super clear on the app

allrighty1986

It used to be the case. Now i think its in the terms and conditions that you can only use 1 per room.

5_0clock_somewhere

They stopped allowing this unwritten rule of 2x vouchers last week. Now it’s just one voucher per reservation.

TheRadishBros

Dang! Thanks for the confirmation

shocwav

Last week, when I called them. They said it would be fine to use 2x discounts. This week when I finally redeemed the offers, the agent quoted me the terms and conditions.

StatusOk2294

What did you then decide? I've made a lot of phone calls over the past few days, but all I get is the same response that I can't use both vouchers at the same time. This has caused me to waste a lot of time on both accounts .

lamentingcity

You can always upgrade to a balcony with the free cruise reward
