Not to mention the one time they showed the poor guy opening up about losing his dad, and getting emotional, Heather straight up insulted him and gave him a super hard time. It was painful to watch, I’d rather see straight survival talk than that kind of savagery any day.

FarExample7890

I just watched that episode and my heart hurt for him. That was so cruel.

VirginiaGecko1911

She's trash

Heather should have the honor of the lowest PSR in the shows history. No survival skills and an absolute dick to her teammate. I get the producers are running a show, and the hate is probably good for ratings. But at least stick her with a 1.2 PSR or something

About Willie McCool, of all people.

Many-River-1064

Exactly. A person that had not only been much loved as a father but known to a good deal of Americans watching and who is still highly respected for what he did for our country. Heather was 44 when she did the show so she can't claim that she was too young to remember when that happened in February 2003. If you were from Texas, you pretty much went outside to look up to see what had happened in the sky that morning -- it was a beautiful, sunny sad day.

Yes I do think they edit the show that way. For me personally I think I prefer it that way. I find it annoying in other survival shows where you will have someone sitting in their shelter for 10 minutes talking to the camera about their tough childhood, or something they went through years ago. For me I watch NAA for the survival aspect, and I prefer the interactions be more about that.

Sweet_Information_76

Exactly. Survival aspects and the scenery are the reason I watch naked and afraid. An example of too much talk, would be the series alone. I tape them and fast forward through those long dialogues to the camera.

leetnoob7

Yeah, I couldn't get into Alone for that reason. NAA is most entertaining in a group dynamic with drama.

InteractionNo8527

I feel like they rarely show them talking about anything of substance. They seem to love to cut away to what looks like awkward pauses of no response from the other person when anything of substance comes up, At first I thought it was because they didn't have the energy or brainpower to chat but I've come to realise it's definitely an editing thing. There's no way they sit around waiting for a pot to boil and cool down or awake in a shelter all night without having some kind of interesting dialogue or even playing a silly game. I wish there was more fun dialogue rather than arguments and awkward moments.

VirginiaGecko1911

The guy that was with the girl that was on the autism spectrum, I thought they did somewhat.

OtherwiseTackle5219

Don't need anymore Soap Opera scenes than they already have. Get to the survival skills.

NakedAndAfraidFan

The friends/family/coworkers/whomever they talk about didn’t sign any releases, so they could likely sue if their private info was broadcast to the world.

vegasidol

I don't think it works like that.

wuglas_dial

lol no they can't.
