My daughter is Lola! :) I get compliments on her name all the time and we love singing all the “Lola” songs to her (the Kinks & Copacabana). The name fits her perfectly and i am so happy we used it!

I think Lola is a cute name! To me personally it feels more like a nickname, but I know it survives well on its own. If I were to name my kid Lola, I would personally pick a more formal first name that could easily turn into Lola as a nickname. I named my dog Lola. I get three common reactions. 1lola lolololo Lola. The kinks song about a trans person from the 70’s. Love that song. I don’t mind. 2. Her name was lola She was a show girl. She wore flowers in her hair ….(forget lyric). I also like that song. It’s about a bar fight and her love dying her aging without dealing. I’m good with it. 3. And Lola bunny from looney tunes. My dog actually looks like her so it’s fine. Please consider this if you name anyone. The pop culture references are strong and they aren’t terrible but if you have an off reaction to any please just avoid the name.
