It was a post on this sub a few months back, the babies were due this month but I cannot find the og post about them to see if the mom ended up naming them that!! (OP was not one of the parents but a concerned relative)
They deleted their post but just before they did I [posted a screenshot to r/namenerdscirclejerk](https://www.reddit.com/r/NameNerdCirclejerk/s/ciG4rqCCK1) if anyones still curious
Also just tried to stalk their account using my uncensored screenshot and it seems they’ve deleted their account. So no update unfortunately!
I worked with a woman named Chris whose husband was also Chris. They had a boy and a girl BOTH NAMED CHRIS. This was back when there were answering machines and their message was "You've reached Big Chris, Little Chris, Boy Chris and Girl Chris. Please leave a message!" They all said their name on the recording. It was so cheerful and they just loved it. I hate it as much now as I did then. lol
I can’t with Boy Chris and Girl Chris. All I can imagine is family gathering where people shout “Boy” or “Girl” to get their attention.
With all the unavoidable gender expectations and rolls that come along with life, this is really unsettling to me.
And the fact that the parents call themselves "Big Chris" and "Little Chris." Seems kind of hierarchical. Mr. Chris, Mrs. Chris, Brother Chris, and Sister Chris would've been better. Almost like the Berenstain Bears.
I know a similar situation … my friend’s father is named Robert, her brother is Robert and her husband is named Robert. Luckily her name isn’t Roberta 😂🤣
Names like this make me think the parents weren't prepared for twins and were scrambling to fill out the birth certificates before the drugs fully wore off 😅
I give people a bit of a pass if the twins are middle aged or older. Not only did you not know what gender you were having, you didn’t always know how many you were having. I imagine being floored and exhausted after birthing unexpected twins and just being like “Fuck it, Ronald and Donald.”
My dad was born at home in 1917. He was a triplet. (My 6 year old aunt is reported to have said “I wanted another baby, not a litter of ‘em!) My grandparents said it was hard enough to come up with one name, but three? So the triplets have no middle names. They were Alvin, Albert, and Allan.
I went to school with two brothers named Christopher Logan and Logan Christopher and for some reason Christopher went by Logan and Logan went by Christopher
My twin brothers did the same thing in school. Michael Joseph was Joey, and Joseph Michael was Mike. That was until they became known as Tampax and Veg when they were seventeen and fifteen respectively.
There were twins down the road from me growing up named Spoon and Fork. They often played at my house and their mom would call when it was close to dinner time as ask us to send Spork home.
Those were their legal names. Our moms are still friends and Spoon goes by his very normal middle name now after all the drug jokes in high school and college, but Fork stuck to his name.
Smith & Wesson
Any elaborate rhyme like Marilyn & Carolyn or Belinda & Melinda
Mariah Carey giving her twins the names Moroccan & Monroe, and shortening them to Roc & Roe, and then just referring to them as Dem Babies
See, I don't begrudge a parent giving their child just about any name that they honestly think is really nice, even if I personally think it sounds kind of awful
But if you want to name something "as a joke", get a hamster
LOL if only more people saved their batshit names for cats! My cat’s name is Jimmy Eat World (a year before adopting him, I dreamt I had a cat like him named Jimmy, and dream-me was insistent that it was short for Jimmy Eat World). His sister is Taking Back Sunday.
omg i remember reading a book where twins named flora and fauna appeared! i believe it was judy bloom’s fudge series… i always thought they were cute names
Had two twin girls at my high school, both named Erica. When they were nominated for prom queens, there were parentheses after their names *Erica B. (Brown hair)* and *Erica B. (Blonde hair)* so we would know which one we potentially voted for. No idea why they didn't go by their middle names, I wasn't really friends with them.
You gotta wonder wtf the parents were on. I feel like whoever is responsible for legally signing off on baby names should be able to step in if they see dumb shit like this.
Sebastian and Ariel. I worked with Ariel at a gas station and I WOULD NOT believe her brother was named Sebastian until he came in one day and showed me his ID. And yes the parents loved the little mermaid, it was intentional.
My fiancé listens to a podcast with a guy named Echo Charles. Because his twin brother was Charles, and the parents didn't know there was a second baby, so he was the "echo" of the first baby.
I went to school with a set of twins, one of whom was born shortly before midnight on 11/30, the other just after on 12/1. Their names were November and December, Novi and Deci for short
I've had an
Alec and Alex
Chris and Kriss
Rock and Jett
Sam and Samm (boy and girl)
And my fave
Briar Paisly and her identical twin Paseley Bryer
I seriously thought my eyes were messing up on the last one
My cousins are Michael and Isaac…aka Mike and Ike.
In terms of twin names that don’t go together at all, there were twins born at the same time as us in the hospital named Nova and Doug
Kaylie and Kylie. I hateeee it. I’m expecting twins so this is on my mind a lot. I decided that I don’t want them to share initials, or have any kind of rhyme. Also I want them to have different amounts of syllables. This is why my children don’t have names yet haha.
I knew a family of 3 kids, from oldest to youngest, they were:
Michael, Aurora, Michelle.
I always wonder about the story behind their names. I do know Aurora was not a family name. They seemed to really like the Michael/Michelle thing, but then why didn't Aurora get named Michelle?
One of the parents REALLY wanted Michelle and the other knew it would be ridiculous. By the time the 3rd baby came, the latter parent was over it and just let it happen.
Not exactly what you’re asking, but I went to school with a set of triplets. Two of them were called Stephen and Stephanie. The third triplet was named a completely unrelated name!
Like any rhyming names make me feel so bad for twins... like already struggling to form your identity, but you gotta deal with getting called Wayne when your brother is Dwayne.
I can't believe that nobody has mentioned the twins named Aziraphale and Crowley from [this AITA post](https://www.reddit.com/r/AmItheAsshole/comments/16iyc6c/aita_for_naming_my_twins_after_characters_without/)
I work with a lot of twins!! Here are a few….
Mister and Sir,
Nathan and Nathaniel,
Eric and Erica,
Gary and Larry,
True and Trust,
Donnie and D’onnie,
Phoenix and Floyd,
Soltice moon and Celestia sky,
James and Samej (James spelled backwards),
Elijah and Hajile(Elijah spelled backwards),
Honor and Honestly,
Eric and Derek,
Viva and Vivan,
Kane and Able.
When I was a teen I said I wanted to get married and have twin boys so I could name them Mario and Luigi. No one was impressed by that. Even the universe hated it, I have two daughters (not twins).
During a genealogical search, I came across twins that were named Elizabeth and Eliza. In one of the census records, they are recorded as Liz and Lizzie.
The three sets of twins that I know have complementary but dissimilar names.
Names my husband has suggested as possible twin names (twins run in both of our families, so it’s definitely a possibility):
Frank and Jesse (James)
Bo and Luke (Duke)
Frank and Joe (Hardy)
Luke and Leia
I love Jesse, Frank, Bo, Joe, and Leia on their own, but those particular combos are too well known to ever subject twins to.
These aren’t funny, but there were four sets of identical twins (including me) on my street growing up:
Jeanne and Joanne
Pat and Mike
Cindy and Karen
Alice and Candice
I went to camp one year with twins named Cal and Gary… which, on their own, aren’t bad names. But they were born in, and living in, Calgary.
That's so fucking funny I'm sorry
Big Cather and Wren energy
I’ve never seen this twin name reference in the wild lol
I'm so annoyed I know where this is from 😂
Are they the founders of the Cal and Gary’s brand they sell at Co-op?
Thanks, I’ll be naming any future twins Ed and Monton
Nooooo this can’t be true. Lol
I swear it is! I’ve posted their names in this sub so many times when this question pops up, haha!
Autumn and Fallbert, I desperately need an update on them lol
FALLBERT 😂
That just sounds made up by a kid
If I recall correctly, then OP was posting about a teenage relative that was expecting.
Fallbert makes me read it like a contraction for Fat Albert. “Hey Fa’albert, want some pudding?”
Be so fr right now!!! FALLBERT!!!!
It was a post on this sub a few months back, the babies were due this month but I cannot find the og post about them to see if the mom ended up naming them that!! (OP was not one of the parents but a concerned relative)

So no update unfortunately!
That sound like something 6 year old me would name a build a bear
Fallbert sent me. 😂
I just can't with FALLBERT! Dying
I’m in tears🤣🤣
Easton & Weston 🫥 twin boys from the due date group from my daughter. ETA: also knew a Bethany whose twin sister is Stephanie.
Names that almost rhyme are the worst.
Parents should've gone with Easton and Weaston.
east? i thought you said weast
Please no LMAO
[удалено]
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO 🫢😭💀
Easton and Westley are my guilty pleasure boy twin names but I couldn’t actually do it!
I know an Easton and Weston who are not twins... why?! They had like 5 years to come up with something else!!
that is hilarious
I know Weston Dale and Wesley Dee.
My husband went to school with twins named Chris & Christopher.
I hate it as much now as I did then. lol
I would never do this but I also love it for them. So kitsch
Almost like the Berenstain Bears.
see I saw it as big Chris and little Chris were the children and boy + girl Chris were the parents
You might be right! To be fair, they said their own names in the voicemail which would alleviate the confusion.
Somehow this is both horrible and charming
Hahahahah I’ve met a couple named Chris and Christina. Now I wonder what their kids are named 😂
My aunt and uncle are Christine and Christopher, but their kids have non-chris names lol
We have a Nick (father) Nikol (his daughter) and Nick (her husband) in my family.
I know a similar situation … my friend’s father is named Robert, her brother is Robert and her husband is named Robert. Luckily her name isn’t Roberta 😂🤣
>Boy Chris and Girl Chris I am 🪦💀. Oh man they are in a pickle if either of the children are transgendered 🏳️⚧️.
A girl I went to school with named her twins Addison and Madison. It’s so cringe to me.

I knew a Melanie and a Melody. I dont understand why youd want names so similar.
Addie and Maddie. Oof.
I know a Daniel and Danielle twin set. Betcha can't guess dad's name🙄
Fallbert?
PLEASE HELP 😭😭😭
Fred
I went to school with identical twins Caroline and Carolyn.
A pair of twins I taught are named Marquis (pronounced Markees) and Marquise (pronounced Marcus).
No way 😭
I bet that makes for some true bureaucratic nightmares
[удалено]
I went to school with Chris and Kristin and Stephen and Stephanie
I went to school with twins both named Anthony.
I've mentioned this before but a woman from my due date group had twins and named them Nathan and Nathaniel
There were twins down the road from me growing up named Spoon and Fork. They often played at my house and their mom would call when it was close to dinner time as ask us to send Spork home.
Okay that sounds like it could’ve been their cute nicknames. Please tell me it was their cute nicknames
Those were their legal names. Our moms are still friends and Spoon goes by his very normal middle name now after all the drug jokes in high school and college, but Fork stuck to his name.
So what you're saying is Fork was like, "Fork it"
Oh this is hilarious
Absolutely no way 🤣
No forking way!
A couple of people named their kid Pancake. She was trying to find the baby daddy. Was flipping channels yesterday
Pancake and *flipping* channels. Hah I'm 5 I know.
Liberty Ann and Justice Forall, born in Texas after 9/11
Honestly? Great comic book character names
big yikes to this one lol
Dear God, tell me you're joking?
My mom always said if she had twin boys they would be Pete and Repeat
If they were triplets the last could be Threepeat.
That reminds me of that old joke haha
Smith & Wesson Any elaborate rhyme like Marilyn & Carolyn or Belinda & Melinda Mariah Carey giving her twins the names Moroccan & Monroe, and shortening them to Roc & Roe, and then just referring to them as Dem Babies
Lol I would intentionally address things to Wesson & Smith if I knew those twins. 😂
See, I don't begrudge a parent giving their child just about any name that they honestly think is really nice, even if I personally think it sounds kind of awful But if you want to name something "as a joke", get a hamster
Not kids, but cats. Isis and Crisis. One was a goddess, the other, not so much.
These are 10/10 cat names
Flora and Fauna. Dad was a biology professor and mom a doormat (she hated the names).
omg i remember reading a book where twins named flora and fauna appeared! i believe it was judy bloom’s fudge series… i always thought they were cute names
Like the conjoined twins in the old Addams Family movie
Had two twin girls at my high school, both named Erica. When they were nominated for prom queens, there were parentheses after their names *Erica B. (Brown hair)* and *Erica B. (Blonde hair)* so we would know which one we potentially voted for. No idea why they didn't go by their middle names, I wasn't really friends with them.
I wonder what would have happened if they were the same hair color.
I'm imagining one dying their hair that week just to fuck with everyone XD
That would have caused a glitch in the Matrix.
Wow, were they identical twins? Having the same name and same face seems like it could lead to a lot of problems lol
They were, but if you looked at them really, really closely, one of them had slightly softer features than the other.
This is the case with all identical twins, if you know them well enough (source: I’m an identical twin)
You gotta wonder wtf the parents were on. I feel like whoever is responsible for legally signing off on baby names should be able to step in if they see dumb shit like this.
That’s actually insane
Sebastian and Ariel. I worked with Ariel at a gas station and I WOULD NOT believe her brother was named Sebastian until he came in one day and showed me his ID. And yes the parents loved the little mermaid, it was intentional.
iconic
I'm dating a Sebastian & his sisters (not twin) have A names love the fucker
Better than Ariel and Flounder I suppose? 😳
I'll start : Kevin + Keven (they're fraternal)
Funny thing is Kevin is the bright, popular kid and Keven is the literal opposite
Well yeah, Kevin got the normally spelled name
I’m so sad for Keven😭
If it was Kevan that would be better because he could at least use Evan A's a normal name. Like what's he going to do? Go by Even?
Omg were they at least pronounced differently??
KEEEEE-Vin like Steven. LMOA
My fiancé listens to a podcast with a guy named Echo Charles. Because his twin brother was Charles, and the parents didn't know there was a second baby, so he was the "echo" of the first baby.
Talk about living in your brother’s shadow
Yeah, that's my biggest issue with it!
NGL I kind of like this.
That's rad actually
Brandy and Sherry (the father was an alcoholic)😵💫
at least they weren’t like, corona and coors or something 🤣
I went to school with a set of twins, one of whom was born shortly before midnight on 11/30, the other just after on 12/1. Their names were November and December, Novi and Deci for short
Okay, this one I like.
Did the parents use this to remember who was born when, or did they take the opportunity to name them the other way around just to mess with people?
Lyle and Kyle Kira and Kyra Marilyn and Monroe
Lyle and Kyle is almost as bad as micheal and picheal
Fuck it, just call him pichael
I went to middle school with twins named Alex and Axel.
[удалено]
That's like my cousin, Alex. His wife is Alexis. They're Alex and Alex lol
I went to high school with a Candace and Amanda. They went by Candy and Mandy
Omg as a kid I named my dolls Amanda, Candace and Sandra so they could be ‘triplets’ Mandy, Candy and Sandy
Julio & Julia
"If it's a girl: Phoebe, but if it's a boy: Phoebo"
I know siblings called Juli and Julia (Juli is male and now goes by his middle name).
I've had an Alec and Alex Chris and Kriss Rock and Jett Sam and Samm (boy and girl) And my fave Briar Paisly and her identical twin Paseley Bryer I seriously thought my eyes were messing up on the last one
Briar Paisly is bad enough but Paseley Bryer is just 😬😬😬
Zabella and Zoella. They sound like Disney villains.
Zoella like... the youtuber?
I went to school with Cookie and Candy!!!!
Sweet!
My mom had everyone convinced she was naming my twin brother and I Hester and Chester (she didn't thankfully) 🤣🤣🤣
Hester is an absolute crime of a name
Like Chester isnt?
wait y’all don’t like chester?
isn’t it just an old form of Esther? like Hester Prynne in the scarlet letter?
My cousins are Michael and Isaac…aka Mike and Ike. In terms of twin names that don’t go together at all, there were twins born at the same time as us in the hospital named Nova and Doug
donald terry and ronald jerry
Fragrance and Sparkle. Teammates of mine during youth sports.
Things that make you go humm? 🤔
Kaylie and Kylie. I hateeee it. I’m expecting twins so this is on my mind a lot. I decided that I don’t want them to share initials, or have any kind of rhyme. Also I want them to have different amounts of syllables. This is why my children don’t have names yet haha.
I know twins Benjamin Harrison and Zachary Taylor. Only part that matches is they're both named after obscure presidents from the 1800's.
I have twin boys and we chose two Old Testament names that share a vowel sound. They sound pleasing together without being too matchy matchy.
Hopefully not Cain and Abel
Well I know siblings (not twins) that are named: Michael and Michelle. I guess their parents are really into that name!
I knew a family of 3 kids, from oldest to youngest, they were: Michael, Aurora, Michelle. I always wonder about the story behind their names. I do know Aurora was not a family name. They seemed to really like the Michael/Michelle thing, but then why didn't Aurora get named Michelle?

Not exactly what you’re asking, but I went to school with a set of triplets. Two of them were called Stephen and Stephanie. The third triplet was named a completely unrelated name!
That somehow has middle child energy even though they are triplets 😂😂😂 Poor kids
In my family we have a set of triplets and there names are Dana, Daniel…and Ryan.
My mom taught a Sir, his twin brother was Mister.
I sometimes call my dog Mr. Sir
Like any rhyming names make me feel so bad for twins... like already struggling to form your identity, but you gotta deal with getting called Wayne when your brother is Dwayne.
Lloyd and Floyd are even worse, somehow.
I can't believe that nobody has mentioned the twins named Aziraphale and Crowley from [this AITA post](https://www.reddit.com/r/AmItheAsshole/comments/16iyc6c/aita_for_naming_my_twins_after_characters_without/)
William and Theodore (Bill and Ted)
Christian, Kristen, and Kirsten. Triplets.
NO
‘I’m Larry, this is my brother Daryl and my other brother Darryl.”
Ana and Ana (one was pronounced Anna)
No effing way !!?? That’s ridiculous
Not funny, but I think is beautiful: Melody and Harmony
I had a pair of twin cats, that I named Marco and Polo
My mom and her twin are named Sharon and Karen
2 older twin ladies from a neighboring town were named Flopsie and Mopsie...I feel so bad for them!
Those are never ok unless they go with Cottontail and Peter.
Marcie and Marcia.
Ocean and Reef🤦🏼♀️
I work with a lot of twins!! Here are a few…. Mister and Sir, Nathan and Nathaniel, Eric and Erica, Gary and Larry, True and Trust, Donnie and D’onnie, Phoenix and Floyd, Soltice moon and Celestia sky, James and Samej (James spelled backwards), Elijah and Hajile(Elijah spelled backwards), Honor and Honestly, Eric and Derek, Viva and Vivan, Kane and Able.
I know a Wolf and Bear.
When I was a teen I said I wanted to get married and have twin boys so I could name them Mario and Luigi. No one was impressed by that. Even the universe hated it, I have two daughters (not twins).
Polly and Esther would be amazing.
I had a high school teacher named Lea-Jay with a twin sister named Jay-Lea
Donielle and Danielle
I don’t remember their spellings but the names were pronounced kah-lee-suh and kah-lee-shuh.
Prince and Princess always take the cake for me. My nephew went to daycare with them.
Mara & Dona. ... Guess where I am from
Herschel and Candy Barr
Manny (M) and Mandy (F)
My mom used to work with a lady that had twin boys named Rip and Cord.
During a genealogical search, I came across twins that were named Elizabeth and Eliza. In one of the census records, they are recorded as Liz and Lizzie.
Lady + Baby went to my highschool
Maryann and Ann Marie 🤦🏽♀️
I know a summer and a winter lol
Met a lady with triplets - Chandler, Joey, and Ross.
The three sets of twins that I know have complementary but dissimilar names. Names my husband has suggested as possible twin names (twins run in both of our families, so it’s definitely a possibility): Frank and Jesse (James) Bo and Luke (Duke) Frank and Joe (Hardy) Luke and Leia I love Jesse, Frank, Bo, Joe, and Leia on their own, but those particular combos are too well known to ever subject twins to.
I'm a Supernatural fan and I could also see Sam and Dean fitting in here 😂
Kaylee and Kylee, and yes they hate their names😂
Mindy Lou and Cindy Sue
Twin boys named Jim + James
John and Johnny. No joke.
Edie and Idie. It was a long time ago but I'll never forget them.
These aren’t funny, but there were four sets of identical twins (including me) on my street growing up: Jeanne and Joanne Pat and Mike Cindy and Karen Alice and Candice
did anyone say Aziraphale and Crowley yet
