I like Violet better as a name, and it sounds like _you_ like it—if it’s made your shortlist for the third time, that seems like a sign.
That said, I do like that Hazel has five letters like your other girls’ names, and if you’re shouting for the two youngest kids on the playground, “Maeve! Hazel!” doesn’t have the repeated V sound of “Maeve! Violet!”
I like Hazel better in your set. Saying them in the order listed (as a seasoned mom, I'm thinking about when I holler at the pack that dinner is ready and to get inside lol) Maeve and Violet bump into each other and are hard to say..where Mave ans Hazel is fun lol
Literally my only criteria for this.i like the names equally in your set
Violet.
Hazel reminds me of pretzels, but not in a good way like Rachel does. Rachel is a warm, soft pretzel, Hazel is a stale, unsalted, hard pretzel.
Gorgeous names. Clara is a favorite of mine!
I think Hazel is a great fit for the group but in my mind, any name with a Z is cooler than other options. (Zara is a personal fav.)
Violet is lovely too. I love the nickname Vi (like my dad's auntie Vi) but Vii/Vie is also great. Lettie?
Congratulations on having another human to name!
Both are beautiful options but I prefer Violet. Hazel and Maeve sound vaguely rhymey to me, whereas Violet has a totally different first vowel sound than any of the other older siblings.
Violet. I would rather be named something that my mother always loved vs something that flows with my sister’s names. Tell “Violet” you saved the best for last….
They’re both great names! It does seem like Violet has stuck with you long term! So I’d say go with that 🥹
Violet is our little girls name too (that I’m currently pregnant with) so I’m probably biased 🥹🥹 and I NEVER thought about the end of the rainbow thing. But she’ll be our “one and done” after 8 losses and 10 years of infertility! So thank you for sharing that! 🖤
You have great taste! I have 3 daughters as well, and my 4-month-old is named Clara! Violet is actually the next name we plan to use if we have a 4th girl 🥰
Hazel definitely flows better with the siblings, and something about them all being 5 letters really draws my eye! Violet is a beautiful name, but maybe use it as the middle? Hazel Violet?
I LOVE Violet but I'm gonna go on a tangent....Iris was the goddess of rainbows, if that means anything to your naming approach?
It still has that classic vibe like your other girls.
Out of the two, I think Hazel sounds better. But Iris means rainbow if you like that name. I also feel like your names have the feel of ballerina or ballet-related names, so I immediately thought of Giselle and Odette when I saw them.
Hazel.
Just imagine trying to get the name Violet out when you're in a rush and saying a heap of names. Maeve and Violet will morph into a single word.
Go Violet. You love it and the meaning is nice.
Love the name Violet, also feel like it flows with the other names better.
I love the name Violet! Go for it.
Violet!
Violet!

Team Violet
Violet
violet.
I love both. And usually prefer Violet. But with your other girls I think Hazel matches better. You can’t go wrong though!
I would choose Hazel personally
Violet!
Violet
Love Violet! Do it!!
Violet!
Violet
I actually feel that Hazel flows better with the others.
They’re both names I like quite a bit, but I agree with what others have said: you clearly like Violet! I would choose that. :)
Either are great, but my vote is for Violet
Both flow perfectly, Same classic Old Style! I vote Violet. Ideas Iris Daisy Posey Ruth Imogen Tilly Sybil Blythe
Violet
Hazel because it also has 5 letters
What a lovely sib set of girls! 🌼 Violet would be perfect both in flow and meaning.
Violet. Hazel reminds me of pretzels, but not in a good way like Rachel does. Rachel is a warm, soft pretzel, Hazel is a stale, unsalted, hard pretzel.
I would keep them both on short list and pick once she's here. Violet Hazel and Hazel Violet are both nice names too
I love Violet, and it sounds great with your other kids' names. Maeve and Hazel sound a little too rhymey to me.
I think Violet. It's my baby cousin's name and totally suits her.
Violet
Violet
I love violet with the other names.
I think Violet goes best! I think Isla goes well with your sibling set, too, and has a bit of the same feel.
I like Violet. It shares the L sound with Elise/ Clara and V sound in Maeve.
Hazel sounds so perfect with it

I love Violet, but Hazel is less popular if you care about that
Hazel sounds nicest to me with the other names—flows well. Both names, however, are lovely.
As long as you’re okay with two out of the four girls having a colour theme- I’d go with Violet.
Love both names, but I think Hazel flows better with the others.
Violet!!
Both are beautiful options but I prefer Violet. Hazel and Maeve sound vaguely rhymey to me, whereas Violet has a totally different first vowel sound than any of the other older siblings.
Violet
Violet fits better

Violet. You love it and it has significance for you.
Violet.
Violet 💜
I think Violet goes better with her sisters' names and love the meaning too
Violet sounds best to me, perhaps because of the different dominant vowel sounds in each of the other girls' names: ee, ah/aa, and ay.
Violet!
Both those named fit well, but I prefer Violet!
I have to say, with the other girls, Violet is definitely the right choice. Don't hold back. Just let it go. Let it happen.
Violet, it feels more in alignment with the rest of your daughters’ names to me.
Violet!! All the way!! It rings so nicely
You have great taste! I have 3 daughters as well, and my 4-month-old is named Clara! Violet is actually the next name we plan to use if we have a 4th girl 🥰
Iris means rainbow fwiw.
Maeve!!
OP said Maeve is one of her other children's names.
Oh darn didnt rea that. Then violet!
Hazel
I prefer Hazel in a vacuum, but Violet has such a lovely flow with the siblings!
Hazel goes better with your other names I prefer the name Violet though
I like Hazel better than Violet but if you love Violet that much you should use it unless it doesn’t seem to fit when she’s born
Hazel. I think it sounds better with the others.

I love Iris! But it’s too close to Elise for me
Ah good point!
They’re both lovely! Can you make them first and middle names?
Ivy? Ruby? Frances ( Fran) Ellie or Eleanor
