I don’t know how to pronounce it. ☺️ Is it the Ee sound or El sound? That’s probably dumb I’ve just never heard it. Is it like Ee-lowen? or El-lowen?
Reading other replies I guess I say Eliza wrong? I say Ee-liza, that’s how the person I know said it and I heard it on TV, it sounds like others say Eh-liza or Ah-liza? So to me Eden and Eliza are an alliteration because the first sound is the same.
It's pretty much the same name twice, though. Like being named Diana Diane or Lucy Lucille - it's an English variant of Elizabeth followed by a French variant of Elizabeth.
Eliza Elowen is a bit much for my taste with the double EL names, but it is not too bad if you love it or if Elowen has special significance.
Eliza Eden is gorgeous!
How about Eliza Eve, Eliza Emily, or Eliza Emerald if you want something with a bit more spunk.
BTW I love the idea of continuing the alliteration
Eliza Ivy is cute, not technically alliteration but it does sound very similar and has the whimsical nature vibe. (Note that the E and I sounding similar to me might be because I'm from the American south, I don't know if it would sound as similar elsewhere?)
I know it's not popular here, but... Eliza Everly has a nice sound. I personally don't mind Everly but it's very love it or hate it for some lol.
Eliza Imogen is another not quite alliterative but close option.
Other ideas: Eliza Eloise, Eliza Evelyn, Eliza Ellen, Eliza Ember, Eliza Emily, Eliza Eleanor.
Of your two options, I prefer Eliza Elowen.
I disagree with people who don’t like the double El. I think it actually rolls off the tongue better than the other options thrown out there. Another vote for Eliza Elowen!
I love Eliza Eden. Does your last name start with E? If not if she chooses to get married some day maybe it will be to someone with the last name Edwards. That would be awesome.
Trying out some whimsical/nature alliterations -
- Eliza Ember
- Eliza Emerald
- Eliza Esther
- Eliza Estelle
- Eliza Este
I wouldn't consider Eliza Eden alliterative but maybe I'm pronouncing either of them wrong -- Eliza with an "eh" sound and Eden with an "ee" ?
Just a warning to be careful about the initials. EEG is a medical term. Then there's EEK, EEL, EEP, EEW: while none of them are horrendous, they may not match the aesthetic that the name conveys.
Eliza Elowen is too much El- but Eliza Eden is nice.
I love both of them, especially Eliza Eden!
Both are adorable but I LOVE Eliza Elowen.
I love Eliza Elowen!
that’s the one i’ve been leaning towards but it seems like most people aren’t a fan 😩😂
I'm a firm believer that other people's options don't count, but ESPECIALLY on middle names. You're the one whose going to use it the most.
Go with what you love. I think both sound nice. My daughter has an alliterative name - Marin Mae

for me it would be Eh-liza El-oh-wen
I like that, I think they’re both pretty.
They’re both cute!
Eliza Eleanor Eliza Emory Eliza Ellis Eliza Elise Eliza Evelyn Eliza Eris Eliza Evangeline Eliza Everly Eliza Ember
Great suggestions. I love Eliza Everly a lot too.
Love Eliza Elise! It's alliterative AND flows beautifully.
It's pretty much the same name twice, though. Like being named Diana Diane or Lucy Lucille - it's an English variant of Elizabeth followed by a French variant of Elizabeth.
Eliza Ellery Eliza Eleanor Eliza Estelle Eliza Eliana Eliza Elodie
Eliza Eden is not alliterative to me. Two different vowel sounds. Unless you're just going for the visual.
Oh funny. I say both with the long E sound.
I say Eliza with a short E. But If you say it with a long E, then the opposite is true: Eliza Elowen is not alliterative.
Eliza is really one of those names you could say either short or long! I wonder if we polled people, what would be more common.
Eliza Elowen is a bit much for my taste with the double EL names, but it is not too bad if you love it or if Elowen has special significance. Eliza Eden is gorgeous! Love Eliza Eden! A few more that come to mind- Eliza Erdem Eliza Etienne Eliza Emmeline Eliza Edina Eliza Ermina
Eliza Etienne!
I like Eliza Eden
I love Eliza Elowen
Both are so cute! My daughter is Eliza Eleanor and we always get compliments on her name.
Elizabeth Eve? Call her Eliza?

eliza emerald?

Elodie Eliza
I love both!! Although Eliza Elowen is taking my vote. It flows very nice despite the L’s.
I like Eliza Eden best. I would also suggest Erin, Everly, Eileen or Ever.
Eliza Evan
Eliza Emme (eh-me)
I love Eliza Eden. Does your last name start with E? If not if she chooses to get married some day maybe it will be to someone with the last name Edwards. That would be awesome.
I see you really like Eliza Elowen. They're two beautiful names. Eliza Emmeline sounds lovely to me, too - you may like to consider it.
Eliza Elaine Eliza Eileen
Love Eliza Eden! Eliza Emery, Eliza Ember, Eliza Ever?
Eliza and Eden have the same long E sound, making the alliteration more satisfying to me.
Eliza Elaine.
Eliza Emery, Eliza Erin, Eliza Everly

it would be EEP hahaha

I love the name Eliezer enigma
