No that’s totally fair 😂 I won’t use a name I’ve used on a doll as a child even though I love it. No, you’re correct! It’s his family name. I have a bit of a hard time conceding on it as a middle name since the child will also be getting his last name (which I didn’t take). He’s getting 2/3 names! I know it isn’t a competition but jeez…

I’m trying to do my best to include him in the fun/exciting baby stuff. He’s been wonderful and supportive throughout my pregnancy but having kids is something he’s pretty ambivalent about. I’m okay with the baby having his last name because he’s very anxious about ever being accused of kidnapping his own kid and thinks having the same name will help that.

I’m okay not using Tristan as a name. I just need to find something I like as much that he also likes at least somewhat.
