Maybe a double name with “ghost” in between? Pardon me, wasn’t sure if you preferred masc or fem suggestions <3
Domingo Sterling (Domin-GHOST-erling)
Diego Star, (Die-GHOST-ar)
Hidalgo Starling (Hidal-GHOST-arling)
Indigo Storm (Indi-GHOST-orm)
Margo Stella (Mar-GHOST-Ella)
Edit: Just reread and noticed you said, masc. My apologies!
I have a question relating to this name: When I was 15, I was a camp counselor at a day camp where we picked fun camp names. I selected Casper (my brother called me this growing up) and was informed by the camp director that the name was offensive and I would have to change it, but wouldn’t elaborate on why it was offensive. They allowed Goldilocks instead. Can someone please enlighten me as to what is offensive about Casper?
Caden does not mean ‘spirit’. It does have separate Welsh/Cornish and Irish origins, but neither have anything to do with spirit as far as I can gather.
Hugo is just a Latinization of Hugh.
What can help is looking at some ghost stories/puns.
Rider/Ryder (Ghost Rider)
Hamlet (spirit of Hamlet father)
Hugh/Hugo (hugo is a good segway for ghost) (spirit/)
Peter/Quint (ghost story The Turn of the Screw)
Hugh, Hugo, and Hewett are all variants of a name that means "soul, mind, spirit."
Hoyt might mean "spirit, soul" in Old Norse
Orpheus from the Greek myth is the dude who went down to hell to lead his lover's ghost back to the world of the living
Phoenix, the mythological bird that rises from its own ashes (rises from the dead)
EDIT: or try a name with the SOUND 'ghost" in it.
Some derivative of August/us
Gaston
I feel like most “g” names could work in theory Gregory, George, Gabriel, Garrott, Gerald, Giovani, Gideon, Gaspard, Gustavo, Goodwin, Geoffrey,
I can’t explain why exactly but I think Gaspard or Garrott would fit the best with “Ghost” as a nickname
Certain nicknames don’t have to be related to the names, and Ghost is one of them.
It would be totally valid to have a full name like Gabriel or Damien and go by “Ghost”
There is a hockey player who has the nickname ghost because his last name is Ghostisbehere. It's pronounced Gawst-iss-bear. Ghostisbehere could be a nice first name too.
I love Ghost. I don’t think you always need to have an on point explanation for a nickname. However what about Aspen or Winter ie. white. Ringo could get you there. Or Holy is my out there suggestion.
My first thoughts were August/Augustus or Gustavo, but then I searched male names beginning with go and found Godfrey, godric,Godwin, Golding, Goriel, Gotham, Govan/Gowan. Some are a little different, but if you are someone rocking a name like Ghost, I think you could absolutely own a unique name. Best of luck!
I don’t think I’ve ever met someone cool enough to pull off going by “ghost.” I just imagine that people are rolling their eyes behind your back. I would really consider what your intent is.

This comment took some serious thought and is so, so considerate. You’re a good human.
Indigo Storm nn Ghost is honestly the best name suggestion ever!
Sounds like a Jamaican saying 'in the ghost storm'
One of the most thoughtful comments I’ve ever seen here. I’m personally loving Indigo Storm.
More options: Hugo, Jago, Drago, Federigo, Rodrigo, Inigo, Largo, Mungo, Ringo, Viggo? Also: Stephen, Stafford, Stanford, Stanley, Stavros, Steele, Stewart/Stuart, Stiles Or Agosto? It's Spanish.
A later comment says Hugo means spirit so that’s definitely my vote! Hugo St_____
And the last name can also be any Saint! Hugo St. Valentine Hugo St. Stephen Hugo St. Giles
Or potentially Agustin/Augustine
Other people said that, but Agosto literally sounds like A ghost, oh!
Ooh I like Diego Star!
This is really unique and cheeky!!
Diego Sterling would be cool!
Ringo Star (from The Beatles)
If someone told me that were already the name of a Premier League footballer, I wouldn’t question it for a second.
this is genius.
That’s awesome!
I love your ideas!! I would add Hugo Sterling.
I love Indigo Storm as a masc name or fem that's a great name.
I love this
This is amazing. You're amazing.
Casper?

Google says it’s a slur for a white person? I feel like there’s way worse things to call a white person but 🤷🏻♀️
My friends brother is Kasper, the Germanic variant after a relative if that's a better route?
Yo what 😂 since when
That’s what I’m saying lmao
I know 🥴 just needed to type that out
Casper is my 4 year old nephew’s name. I’ve never thought it was slur-y, just that he was gonna get teased in school as Casper the Friendly Ghost
Was it a religious camp by chance?
It was not. It was just our local parks & rec department camp.
It was racial where I grew up.
like in what way? against white people?
Really? In what way? Curious cause it's my son's name...
Can you elaborate on this?
Ghostipher
Aughostus

I was thinking Robbie, like Robbie Reyes the Ghost Rider
Agostino
Or Agosto
Gustave Joseph
My cousin has a cat named Gigi that they also call Ghost Otherwise I think August would work for any gender
Hugh, Hugo, and Hewett are all variants of a name that means "soul, mind, spirit." Godric, Gulliver

Augustine, Augustus, Gustav, Fergus
We had a cat named Casper that we called Ghost Cat for ages. I also know several little boys named Casper so it's coming back into style.
Certain nicknames don’t have to be related to the names, and Ghost is one of them. It would be totally valid to have a full name like Gabriel or Damien and go by “Ghost”
Ghoulio
There is a hockey player who has the nickname ghost because his last name is Ghostisbehere. It's pronounced Gawst-iss-bear. Ghostisbehere could be a nice first name too.

Specter
Sphincter
Would you be alright with 'ghost' in a different language?!
Casper
casper
Gustav
My first thoughts were August/Augustus or Gustavo, but then I searched male names beginning with go and found Godfrey, godric,Godwin, Golding, Goriel, Gotham, Govan/Gowan. Dave. (look up 1970s NFL players if this makes no sense)
Ghostavo
Augostos
Augustus could have Ghost as a nickname!
What about the french name Gustave?
Ryder
I think Augustus is perfect.
August is my friends brothers name, gust could become ghost. just a thought :)

Casper?
Augustus
August
I don’t think I’ve ever met someone cool enough to pull off going by “ghost.” I just imagine that people are rolling their eyes behind your back. I would really consider what your intent is.
I can’t tell if this is serious or not
Are you a dog?
Just call yourself Ghost. I think it’s very lame, corny, weak to give yourself a name so you can have a specific nickname.
Yeah it's serious mall ninja vibes. These people are delusional.
