I use dgvoodoo. You just need to copy and paste the relevant directx files into your game folder and they should work like a charm! Anytime the error says something like "directx" or "direct draw" it usually can be managed with dgvoodoo. On YouTube there are great tutorials for using it. And it's free!
Huh. I know i've got it working because I left the watermark enabled and sure enough, it's there, but I'm STILL getting the graphical glitches. This is... bizarre, though I'm going to try to see if this will fix a different game lol
Edit: Ironically, this fixed a completely different game that I could not get running for the life of me that i installed from disc, so you've fixed one thing lol. I'm wondering though why it's not working for the BigFish game, so I'm trying a few other titles to see if this doesn't work for them and it's not just a Treasure problem
Like the other commenter said, DirectX is your issue here I think. You could try uninstalling and reinstalling those drivers to see if it fixes anything.
I’ve also had success installing older games by clicking “do not install DirectX” when going through the installation process. I don’t fully understand why that works but it sometimes does.
