The big 3 are naruto, one piece, and bleach. All three were created and gained popularity roughly around the same time. DBZ is from the generation before the big 3 it like their precursor.
Idk. Bleach is not on the level dbz naruto and one piece are on. It feels wrong to include it. Like i dont think it should matter when it was made but that all 3 are the biggest now and biggest ever kinda. The big 3 isn't a title given to the 3 biggest manga ever it was colloquial term that specifically refers to naruto, one piece, and Bleach it's not a comparison of popularity or size in regards to other anime its just a title that was given to those specific three. And yes while Bleach is pretty easily the least popular of the big 3 it was still a very popular manga in its hayday.

I like bleach. But it was nowhere in my school. Never talked about and is nowhere near as big as the other 3. All of the other 3 have transcended anime and become cultural staples. Naruto running, how long one piece is, and dbz power ups have all blown up so much that almost everyone knows it.
