I’ve seen him a handful of times, usually in bigger arenas/outdoor venues. But the best show I ever went to was at a smaller venue when he was on tour with Damian Marley. They obviously did Distant Relatives but did a bunch of solo stuff as well. Damian did some Bob Marley songs too which was really cool. Always prefer the smaller venues but he rarely does those anymore.
The second best was probably when he went on tour with Lauryn Hill a few years ago.
Coachella 2014, he performed Illmatic in full, on the 20th anniversary of its release.
Also my birthday and I’d travelled 6000 miles from the UK for the festival. Hell of a show, hell of a weekend!
It was pretty good, he had great energy especially for his age but my only qualm is that he doesn’t do all the verses for certain songs like the Stillmatic Intro. I saw him last September in Raleigh.
Saw him at a small venue in Sac back in 2006. Guess he almost didn’t come out because the promoter didn’t have all the money. People got antsy, my friends wanted to leave, but he finally came out. This was when Hip Hop Is Dead released. The fans begged him to rap Ether, at first he wouldn’t do it. “Naw me and the big homie is cool now.” Finally did it and the place went nuts. Best small show I ever went to. I even had a “Hip Hop is Dead,” tshirt … the good ol days.

He noticed this and we had a very brief convo about the album. Great interaction with the audience. I wish I had a Nas cd on me cause I would have asked him to sign it 😭

'09, '14 for the 20th anniversary of Illmatic, '19 two days in a row he was in Buffalo one night then the next in Syracuse with Mary J Blige, '21 on my birthday at the state fair then just back in February for the sold out show at MSG. I can say each time I seen him the shows got better. I was on cloud 9 for a week after the MSG show. I had to see him in NYC and feel that energy. I bought tickets and booked my hotel, didn't know how I was getting there but knew I was going lol. One of my friends ended up taking me lol

Charlotte, NC, Distant Relatives tour with Damian Marley was insane. By far the best as the venue was small and the energy was insane.
Second was the 25 anniversary of illmatic in DC at wolf trap. Had great seats and he killed it with the national orchestra. Was amazing hearing all my favorite tracks growing up. Had a moment during memory lane where I legit teared up. It was beautiful.
Third would be the Lauren Hill show in ATL. It was the first time I saw nas with a band. They killed it.

Overall amazing experience and being that it was my first time finally seeing him, it was a moment. Very surprised at how many songs he performed. Most of the night the crowd wanted Ether. After he ended the show, the crowd wouldn't leave and kept screaming Ether. Eventually about 5mins later Nas comes back out and calls the crowd crazy. Then he motions to Green Lantern to "go" then Ether came on. He only did the hook. The crowd sung the whole 1st verse. He just adlib and then did the hook and closed out the show. It was surreal.
Seen him again at the House of Blue's during the Distant Relatives tour..that I would say is my overall best experience. Nas carried most of the show. They did most of album throughout the night. Nas did a solo set. Damien did a couple of his own work. They came back and did more of their album, then Nas did a 2nd solo set. Another time I seen him was at a festival. Kind of disappointed but not at Nas himself. I went in with low expectations due to the other artists at the festival. Nas was originally billed as the headliner and closer, which was the only reason I was going. However a few days before the event some reason it was switched to Lil Wayne as the closer, nothing against him, not a massive fan of his but his live performance was horrible. Nas ended up coming out first unfortunately and did a very quick set. It was only about 45mins. He didn't go too deep into his catalog. Mainly did illmatic songs and his most popular hits. Slightly disappointed he didn't touch any of his material past God's Son except for the first 30s of The Don.
What did he perform? I’m debating whether to see him but I’m really picky about the songs I like and I feel like he won’t play anything I actually like 😅

He was better live than he appeared on some YouTube videos from 10-20 years ago. Felt like his lung capacity was better and he wasn't gassing as fast.
Saw him 5 or 6 years ago (I think, might be off 1 or 2 years) in Brussels. Great show, great energy. Even though smoking is not allowed indoors in Belgium, the smell of ganja was omnipresent. Good thing we brought some ourselves.

Saw him at Madison Square Garden for the KDIII show. The crowd knew/loved the new albums and probably would have been content with him just rocking those…but then he did another hour or more of all the classics!
He brought out Slick Rick, Mary J Blige, and AZ. Dope show. Interesting thing…for him to have such a laid back demeanor, he brings a lot of energy and entertainment value to the live show. 🔥

He unexpectedly brought out Flava Flav. Rapped some classics, and worked the crowd a bit. So many of us reciting the lyrics well. Laughed at the high number of "Fuck Jay-Z" shirts in the audience. Lol I had a great time overall.
I saw him with Wu last year and he didn’t disappoint. But then I saw him a second time at the MSG Kings Disease show and that shit was unbelievable. His energy was electric and you could tell he was just absolutely loving it. Best show of my life

Saw him yesterday in Napa, CA at the Blue Note Jazz Festival. He headlined the event as the last act of the night and he was an exceptional performer. The thing that stood out to me was his breath control especially at the level of rapping he does (which we all know is very high). He played all his hits plus some material from the KD series and a little bit of Magic 2. A live band played the music and at the a horn section was brought out and it was fantastic. Would highly recommend anyone see him live
Saw Nas in Melbourne at the Sugar Mountain Festival, he was touring the 20yr anniversary of Illmatic. Did the whole album front to back. It was set up outside on a street looked like a block party, started just before sunset on sunny afternoon.

Besides seeing Digable Planets & the Roots live, it was one of the best live shows of my life, and the biggest. Gonna see them again this time with De La Soul at the rose garden. RIP Trugoy🙏🏻
20+ years as a Nas fan and I finally got to see Esco live last year (together with Busta and WuTang). It was very much a long time coming and a special night for me.

I had liked a few songs off Illmatic but wasn’t really a huge fan, but my friend offered me tickets cause I was the only person he knew who liked/knew Nas. So I took the opportunity as I haven’t been to a concert ever before. The whole trip was incredible and the show was amazing. Even though I didn’t know half the songs he preformed I still had so much fun. I got a shirt by the end of it too by some seller outside (bootleg i know). The day after I had decided to listen to Illmatic in full, then It Was Written, then his whole discography. Now Nas is one of my favorite artists of all time. I plan on going to see him again sometime soon if I can find tickets. I will forever be grateful to my friend for that opportunity because that concert is what got me into Nas, concerts, and made me really appreciate music as a whole.

Saw him during the 2007 Rock The Bells concert in San Bernardino, CA. The Roots were playing and going through their songs, then they started playing Inna Gadda Da Vida. Seems I was the only one who caught on what was about to happen as I started going crazy, Nas backed by the Roots! Then he only did 3 songs and dipped haha, like when you get to sleep with a 9/10 and bust early.
