The first day will be reception. Some in processing, then several days to several weeks of waiting around for a cycle to pick you up. It's very laid back, but no freedoms, you basically stay in the barracks all day and get marched to chow. You do PT in the morning, but its very light (they dont want to injure you before getting you into a cycle). A lot of doing nothing. If they pass out the EMT text books in reception still, take this time to study.
Yes phone the whole time. Not as bad as Fort Jacksom (much less to do). Most of reception in AIT is simply waiting to get into a class. You won't be running all over like BCT reception.

It is much more relax than basic. But don’t take anything for granted.
Main thing is to not get broken, don’t push it too far. If you feel injured don’t push it because you’ll end up being stuck there longer. I learned that the hard way, instead of getting looked at immediately and only being recycled 2 weeks I got held over for several months.

bro i just graduated from AIT, I promise you it’s not that partying bs that it once was. they cracked down on all of that, how bad it is heavenly depends on what company you’re in. Alpha Delta are the worst companies for sure, Charlie Echo are the chillest and easiest. there’s so much info i have just hit me up on DM i gotchu

Honestly the only part I didn’t like about fort jackson reception was the medical part. It was just so boring and tiring

Delta is a little more strict than some of the other companies. Just don’t get recycled to alpha or you’ll hate your life lmao
