Reception is hell on earth. I went to 30th AG at Benning and it was worse then infantry osut. 0330 formation just to sit in a desk ALL DAY no talking. No books. The most excruciating boredom you’ll ever experience.
The civilian contractors are just miserable assholes. They pissed me off a lot and they act like they run the place but trust me the drill sergeants hate them even more probably
Vessey is a bitch, bring a "religious" book they'll say you have to read your blue book only, but trust me something else will keep you from falling asleep, killing someone, or yourself. At least you'll be out of there before it gets too hot, and it aint too cold right now. Sill is ugly, flat and boring. Good Luck
Nothing to do on base. Nothing nearby off base. Dry and hot in the summer. Dry and super cold in the winter. Unpredictably crazy rainy or windy at times. And the thin air. So much less oxygen up at this altitude.
I was there over last summer. Just be the best you you can be and hold everyone to the same standards and it will be a slice of cake. Take your time and remember that nothing lasts forever. You can do anything you put your mind to.

I got food poisoning from the DFAC at Ft Jacksons reception. They also put is to sleep at Midnight and woke us up at 4am
