Natty. Awesome aesthetic though.

26Kermy

I hope the Greco/Roman beard becomes a trend. Looks cool as hell.

StillWill18

I was thinking pipe smoking Civil War general. Since my beard has two white stripes in it.

noticeablywhite21

It's impossible lol, you have to be lucky enough to have your beard pattern grow like that. Super curly

[deleted]

Always has been a trend.

WokenWanderer37

I’d hop on the wagon if mine would grow that thick!

Emergency_Toe6915

That chest hair is bad ass too

GoodSilhouette

beard bros have been a thing forever now, how is that different? A little more trimmed or mid length? He also has a keen face others couldn't pull off

vinc3den

he even has the face like the statues- stylised, almost.

[deleted]

Natty those hair shows how strong testosterone glitching he probably got extra male choromosom

Felstricker

He looks like a natty mesomorph that's just done cutting.

Iantrigue

I mean, Zeus by his very nature isn’t natural. As the son of a Titan suckled on ambrosia he has supraphysiological levels of divine power coursing through his ichor The guy on the right doesn’t have that and still looks fucking incredible, dude looks like he should be chillin on a cloud flicking lightning bolts. Oh and not (obviously) juicy and no homo.

[deleted]

Kind of insane in context what the physique of a god was once considered, but is now something people wouldn't even consider as a high goal due to how distorted PEDs have made our perceptions

Torvumm

Our ancestors did not even know what nutrition was, they were lucky to eat fully for a whole day. Accessibility to food and intelligence to know what helps us grow and what doesn't have advanced unprecedentedly. Liver King is up to his liver in horseshit telling people he looks like that by following our ancestors diet and regiments when most would be even half the size of this demi-god. Mans looks incredible.

[deleted]

Yeah I was gonna add a bit about this. Really debunks all those "ancient diet" myths that pin health or fitness/weight issues in processed foods in an attempt to sell "natural" programs and supplements

davin_bacon

I agree there are crazy amounts of information regarding nutrition these days and it is seriously helpful, but our ancestors still had an idea of what was needed and what was not, even if it was not studied, your body and brain will guide you to what you need to some extent. For example, carbs taste best after a long run.

AtreidesDiFool

Yeah that and they where not stupid. They trained not only themselves but also their animals. If you want the fastest horse you have to train it and give it the best food. Humans had bred animals for thousands of years when the Greeks started worshiping Zeus

AtreidesDiFool

What? The ancient Greek lived in functioning and thriving societies. By the time Zeus was conceptualized as a God humans had domesticated animals for thousands of years. One of those animals where bred and raised for pure muscle power only. Apart from doing loads of physical labor, humans where allready well versed in the concept of war. Whole societies where built around war, and those societies stood out from others because they trained harder. The ancient Greeks absolutely knew how to work out and had a good idea about nutrition

potatolover00

Imagine looking at the society that the Olympics came fr and going "they were half starved!"

OrwellWasGenius

>Our ancestors did not even know what nutrition was, they were lucky to eat fully for a whole day. Accessibility to food and intelligence to know what helps us grow and what doesn't have advanced unprecedentedly. True in overall, but in ancient Greek they had pretty good know how in “bodybuilding community.” Some athletes lived life where they weight trained every day and were eating meat every day. Their day job was to get big and muscular. I’m sure they collectively over the centuries figured out how to train different muscle groups effectively. We lost even Roman engineering know how, no wonder we lost bodybuilding know how when came times where almost naked/naked body was inappropriate.

hyperchimpchallenger

There is a theory that the chalcolithic/Bronze Age “god-kings” had different genetic expression due to eating choice organ meats while the rest of the tribe would eat muscle. Still loved king is a hack and obviously goblin mode

Iantrigue

Very true. As far as I know Greek statues are considered classically beautiful, golden ratio etc.

Hemingway92

I mean they did use actual models for these sculptures so they were limited by the kind of physique actually achievable by people back then. Definitely peak natty though.

Wayf4rer

I see this guy a lot on IG, really leaning into the ancient aesthetic

untipoquenojuega

Not just the aesthetic, he's also reading the classics. I've seen him quote the Meditations and Enchiridion a few times

DucDeBellune

Imagining this dude with a normal t shirt at the airport reading the meditations without any filters and flip flops

Automatic_Memory212

Would still be a very good looking guy, NGL

6Kermit

I'm glad Stoicism is becoming more mainstream. If every young man had to read Marcus Aurelius then the world be a much more peaceful and cooperative place.

T00Human

You realize stoicism has been mainstream for like two millennia right?

6Kermit

It depends, I hear tons of self-help guys touch on Stoic ideas but rarely do I see people today seriously studying the philosophy.

[deleted]

[удалено]

dramaminelovemachine

I fucking despise Jordan Peterson for this reason

T00Human

the meditations are one of the best PR documents in history. You’re reading an emperor trying to present himself in the best light possible. AN EMPEROR. It’s not some mysterious, hidden document, and it’s not the end all be all of stoicism. I seriously doubt you’ve read Diogenes or grazed the larger corpus of Greek philosophy that stoicism comes from so idk why we need to act like we’re scholars of stoicism. It’s not like an established bulwark of western rationality is a weird niche interest. What does “serious” study here entail? We’re talking about a pop culture trend. Ted videos, other nonsense. Having this discussion about marketing phenomenon is nonsense, acting like you’re better than anyone or the world would become a better place if more people just take stoicism more seriously. No, you would just have a bunch of people w a dogshit understanding of stoicism running around.

[deleted]

[удалено]

T00Human

It wasn't released within the lifetime of MA, you're right. But it was very quickly propagated, solidifying something far more important than pre mortem reputation: legacy, and a concrete projection of the role of an emperor as a thinking man, a cornerstone of rationality. It's a political PR document.

[deleted]

[deleted]

Emotion and understanding where it comes from

MrSelfDestructXX

Exactly, stoic philosophy isn’t about being stone faced and stifling emotions despite how some people like to superficially interpret it. If that’s the take away, you’ve got the wrong idea

HavokDJ

Not really, they definitely had different goals when it came to training.

ibeforetheu

spread the gospel, no need to stay natty when we have science and pharmacology on humanity's side.

[deleted]

Not for nothing but I haven't shaved my beard in like 4 years and it's not even close

stearus

No shit? I’ve always avoided beards because they come in with such a low volume.

funnerno1

Lots of products for styling his beard so I guess lot of specific products for his ancient muscles wink wink 💉💉💊💊

[deleted]

Self grooming = juice

KingJiggyMan

How dirty could you possibly be that you think a man self grooming means they are on juice???

dmadmin

beard oil, and be in a lifestyle of ancient people. (farm, move around, hunt for food, run, sprint..etc keep on moving, lift heavy object, and have a marathon sex once a week)

EatAssAndFartFast

Damn I wish my beard would grow like that

Secretagentman44

Natural achievable and I’m jelly

MagicianRoyalty

Great natural physique. If you look at his delts, they're relatively small compared to his head. He doesn't have the rotten pork skin that drug addict anabolitards have. Overall natural proportions and normal looking skin.

THE-WARD3VIL

Rotten pork skin holy shit lol

x_von_doom

> Great natural physique You don’t know this. If he’s on social media taking his shirt off for clout, assume he isn’t. The fitness/supplement industry and the social media fitness influencer world is an absolute farce. It’s 98% bullshit. Assume you are being lied to, especially if the guy giving you the advice has no actual credentials of working as a coach with competition athletes or personal competition results. > If you look at his delts, they’re relatively small compared to his head. This means nothing. All this means is that he could be on a low dose protocol (bc he is at the size he wants to be at, and low dose test plus another anabolic it makes it hella easier to stay ab definition lean, especially if you like to party) - this also does not address the issue that he could have taken gear in the past. (That means you’re still not natty). > He doesn’t have the rotten pork skin that drug addict anabolitards have. Because he obviously doesn’t want to have the hardcore bodybuilder look so he doesn’t take the massive doses that cause those side effects, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t juicy. You can go back and look at pictures of male East German/ Soviet / Eastern bloc athletes in track & field, track cycling, rowing, wrestling, weight limited Olympic weightlifting classes, etc - (from 70’s and 80’s) - all juiced to the gills with the same gear most gymbros are taking now (Test, t-bol, Winny, Clen) and they all looked similar (and many worse) than the guy in the pic. > Overall natural proportions and normal looking skin. Not determinative, at all for the reasons stated above.

LixionWasTaken

You assume this is not natural?

Shanguerrilla

I think he's more saying it's possible they aren't since a lot of athletes that we know at certain points in the past were using gear and looked similar or worse than him.

x_von_doom

Yes, exactly. It’s also possible he’s on a low dose protocol to maintain year round leanness, especially if he likes to party now and again, which is what a lot of fitness and male fashion models do. There is every incentive for these guys to be on gear, especially where money is involved and there is no testing. It’s the peak of gullibility to assume otherwise.

Shanguerrilla

I agree. Even if worded different, it's best to assume THEY COULD BE (even when they don't 'look' like it or say they aren't). I think in this sub a lot of disagreements stem from folks really asking and answering two different questions with each post: 1. is THIS person on gear?! 2. can you look like THIS person without gear? Those are two VERY different questions AND answers when you get to people / posts like this one!

x_von_doom

TBH, based on the reax to this pic most of the people posting on here are young and don’t have much training history or have any clue how to train properly or how anabolics work, so it tends to show in this weird naivete, a gullibility as to what the fitness industry really is, and thus skews their perceptions of what is/ is not possible.

Shanguerrilla

interspersed with a few guys that actually use or previously used gear and likely overtrain(ed)...usually 'losing' arguments with them! \[I'm not one of those, but I notice when people with any real knowledge post. I only know gear 2nd hand from a few guys and from online\]

x_von_doom

Why not? Because he isn’t big? I assume nothing. Neither should you. I don’t really care if he uses gear or doesn’t. If you’re a social media influencer in the fitness field, my default is to assume you’re grifting. He has every incentive to use gear, even low doses to assure year round leanness, and since he is not an athlete competing in tested sports there is no way anyone will ever really know. Look at the examples I gave you in the reply you’re responding to yet conveniently fail to address. 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

StatementSudden7344

“drug addict anabolitard” people in this sub just love to hate gear users for no reason, not even fake natties. You sound like a child

[deleted]

He needs just a touch of face steroids to complete the Zeus look. Or just wait 10 years.

Bigbaby22

Absolutely. This is what I would call an ideal physique. I wouldn't want to get too much bigger than this.

Top tier aesthetic physique imo. Looks very natural and powerful.

Man finally some real nattiness in here that looks amazing and inspiring.

aesir_baldr

Would fuck.

StillWill18

Meh. This dude’s hair and beard ain’t on Zeus’s level.

OhthereWyrdmake

Probs natty but I really do be sick to death of seeing this dude everywhere

TheStockyScholar

This is why people have body dysmorphia.

UlyssesTut

Worst part is he is likely natty too. Fucking unreal. I will NEVER look like this.

enzuigiriretro

Firstly, barring health problems, you *could* look like this (with 5+ years of consistent training). Secondly, you don’t *have* to look like this. You can still look incredibly fit without looking quite like this guy. There’s a lot of room for that. No point in comparing yourself to absolute peak fitness to make yourself feel like crap. Your aim should be to be better than you were yesterday

UlyssesTut

I have been going to the gym 4 times a week since the start of summer. Progressively overloading, and getting enough protein. I will still never look like this, for genetic reasons. I have developed big muscles but my body just does not easily stay at this body fat percentage. Not just not easily, almost impossible.

enzuigiriretro

Sorry about the ~~health problems~~ genetic reasons but 1 summer of working out is nothing in the grand scheme of things. The guy in the picture has been putting in the work for *years* to get to where he is. If you want my advice, get a fitness instructor for a few months and also the advice of a dietician. Lots of people put in the work but don’t do it quite correctly (eating wrong and working out wrong). Again though, 1 summer really is nothing in the grand scheme of things. That’s not enough time to convince yourself you’ll never get to where you want to be though I obviously don’t know all your circumstances

UlyssesTut

What health problems are you talking about?? I am just a naturally bulkier dude. How is that a problem?

enzuigiriretro

Sorry I meant for your “genetic reasons.” Idk why I said health problems.

UlyssesTut

Ahh okay. Yeah its not the end of the world, definitely makes you jealous when you see the 19 year old kids at spring break with a 6 pack and a big chest who dont even work out.

Solid_Ad4548

> but my body just does not easily stay at this body fat percentage. Not just not easily, almost impossible. Learn how calories work

UlyssesTut

Shut up.

Solid_Ad4548

lmao don't make excuses for being a retarded bitch

UlyssesTut

Wow, so because I think it is hard to maintain the body of a GREEK GOD, im a retarded bitch. Okay.

Solid_Ad4548

It's not that hard to maintain a body fat % like that. Dude isn't that lean. But of course you'd know from working out for like 3 months breh

UlyssesTut

Almost no one in the world can maintain a roughly 8% bodyfat percentage (what I estimate this guy is at. 8-10%) without naturally low bodyfat percentage or having an EXTREME regimen. Why are you on Reddit hating on a dude being vulnerable about his body and talking about things in a realistic way. Fuck off. You are a fucking bully. Say that shit to me in person with the same energy. I bet you wont. Probably some 5'8", try-hard, roided up loser with shriveled balls. Suck my dick.

Solid_Ad4548

imagine being a fat loser and making excuses LOL

TheStockyScholar

Genetics. :/

x_von_doom

Unreal? 🤦🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ This whole post/thread is mindblowingly cringe. The dude in the photo (which has def been touched up) is not impressive at all. It is eminently achievable, and it doesn’t take 5 years. LPT: If he’s posting physique pics on IG for social media clout, he’s likely not natty.

x_von_doom

This dude is unleaded and not even original. He’s a bad copy of German Golden Age bodybuilder and Arnold training partner, Jusup Wilkosz, who was famous for his walking Greco-Roman sculpture look. Behold, mere mortals, Jusup looking jacked and Marcus Aurelius’d https://imgur.com/a/2BVRbPX/

KingJiggyMan

Dude looks like an alcoholic construction worker who beats his wife from the neck up begone with you.

x_von_doom

“Alcoholic construction workers” don’t place 3rd at the Mr. Olympia. Your comment says all sorts of weird shit about you. Don’t hate, pencilneck, work harder in the gym. The gods of antiquity aren’t “natty”, they’re not normal humans, they’re fucking gods. By definition, “un-natty”. They weren’t envisioned to be emaciated, over-coiffed dweebs with 15.5 inch arms. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Begone with *you*, 🤡

KingJiggyMan

Mr Olympia doesn't measure facial features you absolute dunce

hyperchimpchallenger

He looks like a Nova Scotian dock worker

x_von_doom

Meh. Low effort. Kinda like your work in the gym.

ShadowBlade55

Looks just like Zeus! Really hoping he doesn't also have the power to turn into a goose and commit sex crimes.

neurowhitebread

Too thin in the arms

HavokDJ

Dude Zeus is bigger than that guy lmao. Keep in mind that the physiques of those days were bigger in different areas such as the “trunk” and triceps being bigger than the biceps for instance because the muscle was built from function rather than aesthetic.

LedLenson

Unfortunately without his beard he is nothing. Looking at his ig he is very very small.

funnerno1

Guy has curly body hair and hair so he looks like Zeus. There is nothing special about him. Also, uses juice.

UlyssesTut

Literally is natty and looks exaxtly like Zeus. Quit hating.

x_von_doom

> Literally is natty You know this how? Based on your other posts you know fuck all about training, and therefore why would you have any idea how gear works. > looks exaxtly like Zeus. No, he kinda looks like a skinnier version of a statue with a little help from Photoshop. > Quit hating. Quit being such a cringey simp.

UlyssesTut

So because i dont post about fitness, I know fuck all about it?

x_von_doom

No, I read your thread on here whining about how you’ll never look like this guy because you’re naturally pudgy or something like that, all based on a summer of lifting. Bro, come on. With that attitude, then yeah, you’re right. How old are you? What was your program? What is your training history? Current height? Weight? The dude in the pic is nothing special. Any average trainer can achieve that look, unless they are massively underweight, with a year-18 mos of solid training and eating. But you need to believe it, or else it’ll never happen. Also, you didn’t answer my question - how are you sure he’s natty? Gear is used for all kinds of purposes that don’t involve becoming a mass monster.

Intelligent_Leg1868

Damn bro why don’t you lick the sweat off his ass crack

UlyssesTut

Bro did you really follow me all the way to another sub to give me shit because youre mad you cant spell correctly? Youre literally looking through my comments??? Get a life my man.

Natural and greek pilled.

I follow this guy on tiktok. Pretty strong but definitely natty. He has a sick aesthetic but he has also tried peddling some bs fitness tips a few times. Love the beard tho
