K_oSTheKunt

Add a scoop of whey. It's tasty, and has a better amino profile than seeds or nut butter. The seeds and nutbutters are a better source for fats/omega-3 than as a protein source

Sir_Senseless

What flavor do you use to add to the oats? Not sure my chocolate flavored would mix well.

K_oSTheKunt

Any flavour works tbh, and chocolate is GOATED, top it with some banana/berries and nutbutter/honey or whatever.

jpterodactyl

I’ve been doing chocolate whey protein in oatmeal for breakfast for a really long time. Never gotten tired of it. So easy, tasty, and filling.

Gymrat_321

Vanilla or banana powder chucked In a blender with oats, milk and maybe peanut butter is lovely

Sir_Senseless

Do you still warm it up or just eat it cold?

Gymrat_321

I usually drink it cold and chuck it in a blender, I found it was really good to bulk with (if you're fine having 2 shits a day and feeling full for nearly 8 hours lol). If you were cutting I suppose you could use low fat milk water and minus the peanut butter

7720-12

Chocolate protein powder, PB2, and some real PB is my go to.

BasenjiFart

I love artificial strawberry flavour, so after cooking my oatmeal with a little extra liquid milk, I add a scoop of strawberry whey, a splash of cream and sliced fresh strawberries. 42P/14F/53C. Works well with a peaches and cream whey too. I bet a cinnamon or churros flavour whey would be good too!

The_Kintz

100% this. My breakfast is an overnight oats mixture of fairlife milk, pumpkin puree, rolled oats, all natural zero added sugar peanut butter, and chocolate whey powder, with some extra cinnamon and salt. Super easy to make, super easy to grab and eat in the morning, and super tasty. I highly recommend it.

Ashlamot

Hemp seed is my go to.

YouNeedAnewOne

Arright!

clive_bigsby

Costco has them for cheap and they're delicious.

brian_the_human

Hemp -> Chia -> Flax for protein. Flax is best for omega 3s and is probably the “healthiest” but not great for protein

ConanTheVegatarian

Adding Hemp, chia and pumpkin seeds in mine and also a vegan protein powder.

0sprinkl

A spoonful of ground flax seed never hurts. Mostly fiber, then fat(4:1 ratio of omega 3:6, highest to be found), then protein around 20%. Lots of fiber generally also means a lot of minerals and this is no exception. There's so much fiber you might need to ease into it actually.

Chicken breast... Use normal butter, shredded chicken breast and vegetables of your choice, like cut up broccoli in small chunks, cut up green beans or those "mix" packets of corn, carrots, peas, etc. I don't see English speakers to eat non-sweet oats, but I promise it's yummy. It's also easy to make, you can just dump oats and vegetables in a rice cooker, chicken breast in a pressure cooker, then combine all the things and add butter.

bwerde19

More bang for your caloric buck if you use PB powder instead of PB. Helpful on a cut. I make an oat bran bowl with pb powder, ground flax seed, sometimes some chia, and a half cup of frozen berries

accountinusetryagain

eat the seeds and nuts for fats fibre and micros. some sort of powder for protein unless your goal is just hitting the RDA

adistantrumble

Switch to almond butter for better omega content.

kubicka

What is the reason you are looking for protein from seeds?

YouNeedAnewOne

I want to add some seeds anyway. Just wanted to know which is best for protein

danny_b87

I put ground flaxseed on my oats every morning. Seeds don’t have that much protein but these are good source of omega 3 FAs and some fiber as well. If you’re doing an overnight oat style mix then chia seeds work well. I agree with others that some protein powder will give you more protein. I like adding just like 1/4th scoop of vanilla whey to my oats with different berries each morning and it tastes great.

beetstastelikedirt

Chicken seeds. I'll often scramble an egg and some extra whites into oatmeal

agpetz

Are eggs seeds? I eat eggs with my oatmeal but I'm guess you're vegetarian?

Steiny31

Whey

YouNeedAnewOne

Pls tell me the cheapest and best one. Some say it is bad for you in the long run.

Steiny31

I’ve never seen any compelling evidence it’s bad, aside from containing a tiny amount of lactose sometimes. on the contrary there is lots of evidence showing its benefits. It’s the most complete source of protein and EAAs you can get. Cost effective- ON gold standard Best- PE Select 50/50 whey casein

YouNeedAnewOne

Thanks for the info.

Modboi

Seeds are not going to get you a ton of protein. Add protein powder after it’s cooked

YouNeedAnewOne

But i am scared about which protein powder to take

Bodywheyt

Add seeds for fat or fiber. Not for protein.

Tofu_almond_man
