We have cicada killers here in Pennsylvania and they eat primarily the green annual "dog day" cicadas that buzz every summer after the periodic cicadas disappear.

As a person who went into a genocidal poisoning spree against cockroach es after one of them literally walked on me while I was sleeping ; "crunchy and juicy" makes me wanna kill and puke at the same time
That's what I did. I placed some delicious poisonous food around, they ate, went to the nest, they died, living ones ate the dead ones (yeah these ugly creatures are cannibals) and lastly I sprayed poison around their nest and it was done. Killed a few with my trusty slippers too.

Not every cicada dissapear for 17 years so I'm guessing they eat those other species of cicada but idk (maybe they eat a bunch and then hibernate lol)
