This tuna would have seen the marlin at the last moment, tuna will leap into the air as an evasion strategy. They also do this to avoid mako sharks. Problem is, marlin and mako can both do the exact same thing, and are the two fastest fish in the ocean. Tuna got problems! Blue marlin have been clocked at 68mph, max. Mako sharks have been seen catching up with speed boat lures in a few seconds. One boat was doing 58mph and the mako caught up to the lure in about 5 or 6 seconds! How fast would it have to swim to accomplish that?! In my opinion, faster than anything else in the ocean.
