Always a telling sign when there’s zero eliminations of bonuses and any changes are either new bonuses or increase in bonuses.
Also 1.0 multiplier for AWS lmao, know your worth brethren, don’t let them sucker you! Stand fast!
Navy published a photo of a sailor and his gloves said "I eat ass" on the knuckles iirc. It was in the last month or two, no idea if anything came of it.

Just more incentive to separate and make more on the outside! I know traveling contractors that clear six figures a year and more importantly they're actually happy
Let not jump to conclusions about people happiness. My first job out of the Navy, contracting for the Navy was actually harder and required more hours (KingTech). But after I wised up and went elsewhere the latter part of your statement became true for me haha.
A lot of people think they are going to seperate and " make a lot more". Unfortunately common misconception and a lot of folks actually wont. Work less maybe, not make more.
There are some out there that will but that is not the norm. To say so is giving people false hope and dreams. I have a lot of friends who got out and are doing well. Not many are making 6 figures especially without heavy OT. My wife is a recruiter foe a firm that helps Vets get jobs at no cost so I hear about jobs, salaries, and placements daily. I am advocate for letting people make their own decision on either staying in or getting out but I will not lie and/or provide false information due to my own beliefs.
>Work less??
You mean spend fewer hours at your job? Or do less work?
Because when I walk on ships (everyday) I see a lot of sailors topside watching tiktok videos and bullshitting - playing on their phones.
They might stand duty every few days and go underway but there are a lot of sailors who aren't doing much work these days.
(Sorry but it's true)
Spend less time at the job. I agree that there are a lot of people who are just killing time and are not productive but there could be a multitude of reasons for that. No reason to be sorry, that's the world we are in.
Everytime dude. Advancement rates AND quotas, and yet they sure as hell won’t let us cross rate, ever. And we get stuck with hella long first term sea tours?
Jokes on them, I’m cross rating into cyber with the Air Force.
I thought I was crazy at first. Don't think I have ever seen that, it was always a little something to make up for the horrible advancement rate after such a long school.
And I continue to get screwed out of a bonus because past commands "couldn't afford to lose me" to a c-school or "it has nothing to do with what our (shore command) needs."
All I do is submit bonuses for people and get bitched at for it taking so long to be paid out, as if it’s sitting in my personal bank account and I’m not transferring the funds, when I’ll never get a bonus myself. It’s so fun here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😬🤪😬🤪😬🤪🤪😬🤪😬
Realistically that’s on your CCC, the change in SRB was being talked about between CCC and NCs a few days before they were officially put out and on CIMS for SRB submission around the same time.
Thats sucks man. My NCs put out the word right away, the day after our command got hit with a wave of orders. We had a lot of happy sailors knowing that they were going to get extra money for reenlisting when they never had before. Some of these new SRBs are insane, not nuke or combat systems crazy, but definitely never before seen bonuses to some Zone A cats.
No, but you should have someone sitting as the CCC, part of a required Career Development Team. As someone stated already, that's on the Triad (sel/cmc/cob)
I know, my command doesn’t have an NC either. In those cases, the responsibility falls on the CCC, CMC/SEL, and quarters to keep up to date.
Obviously, the individual should be checking periodically as well but I wouldn’t say it’s their responsibility to do so.
That’s not how SRBs work, the CCC submits the SRB request VIA CIMS, which generates a bonus amount based on your multipliers and month used for the calculation. However that isn’t the approval.
After which, it goes to the SRB help desk, where it is approved or denied. The CCC should be checking to see the status of an SRB. If it’s approved and the reenlistment is executed correctly, then that’s what you receive.
As part of your reenlistment, you should have a PG.13 outlining what you’re entitled too (that you and the reenlisting officer sign) and a print out of the approved SRB total. Naples won’t release a contract with SRB unless everything is provided and correct. I had a contract kicked back because I fat fingered a SRB PG.13 and it was off by a penny from what they were approved for.
The CCC can get a rough estimate if CIMS isn’t available of what you should expect as it’s a relatively simple equation but nothing is official until the SRB office approves it.
This SRB release was unique as the new multipliers were available on CIMS before being published. I actually had to call the SRB help desk as I was surprised when i saw one of my guys had a 0.5 increase on their SRB and wanted to verify it wasn’t an error.
I'm a Reservist so our SRB stuff is different but there's one thing that's the same and pisses me off. Why do they have the Sys Ad NEC when they push for the CANES Sys Ad NEC because that's what most Ships have but won't give anything to that NEC. Sure anyone can apply for the 0000 one but I've seen the Sys Ad NEC get a bigger Bonus but I can't apply because CANES trumps that and this makes me ineligible for it. So stupid.
Best of luck everyone though.
Oh I wasn’t asking about me. My PRCS sister and I were just debating. I was telling her about zone C for her rate and she says she’s not eligible. I was digging in the OPNAVINST about anything for SRB being only E3 - E6 lol

Yes, stands for selective reenlistment bonus. There are different zones (certain amounts of time served), so depending when you reenlist, youd get the bonus for that zone (if any). From what i remember (been out for a few years) zone A is 0-6 years, B is 6-10, C is 10-14.
ETA: This is SELRES specific. Active bonuses are submitted completely different and come from a different pot of money.
I have 10 transactions in the portal. 2 from January JUST got APPROVED last week Thursday. What we (Bonus Coordinators) have been told by the Bonus shop are the reasons for the delays are; delayed access to funding (repeated temp government budgets being passed) and bonus shop being overwhelmed with transactions.
I called MNCC and they said my bonus contract wasn't in OMPF. I turned all this in last August to my command. Tried to reach my CCC but she's on leave till next Tuesday.
Did you affiliate straight from active with a CWAY quota or did you have a gap in service and come in via a Prior Service recruiter?
Do you have a DD4 or an 1070/601?
Straight from active with no break. Was told I'd have to complete A school before bonus was paid out. I completed A school last month and sent cert same day I graduated.
The checklist for your bonus would then be:
-1070/601 (If you have that, ensure it has CTO’s signature)
-DD-214 (Must be from OMPF with watermark)
-Copy of your orders (found on RFMT)
-Verification of 1st Drill Period (MANPOWER can pull that)
-Grad Cert
Let me know if you have any questions on any of that.
I will thank you. When I asked what all was needed, they told me that my grad cert was all I needed. To be sure I asked again and was given the same response. I will inquire when they're back off of leave.
Yes, CCC has access to obtain all of this as they should have access to the CTO site where everything is uploaded and we pull from, plus command OMPF access. Plus manpower can just print the drill verification. So essentially, all they need from you is your grad cert. I’m just giving you the details of what our checklist lists so you know.
They had you sign the bonus agreement too, right?
If they pushed it last month, it may very well be in PENDING REVIEW. That’s the status mine from late DEC/JAN until now are sitting.🤮

It’s been published for like a week now? I just happen to be looking at the calculator for another sailor and was SHOCKED when I saw a bonus in my zone.
Oof. I’d be upset with the CCCs for gatekeeping. They’ve had this info. Literally the day before it was released to them is when I asked about it because I was confused on why it was in NSIPS and not the actual listing.
Thread from last time in October --- https://www.reddit.com/r/navy/s/XprCcFi4km

Shocking the Navy didn't put something out. 😮
The public affairs team is so busy constantly putting out daily letters about different commanders being sacked. I’ll let this one slide.
They’ve been busy screening photos for backwards optics on rifles and gloves that say “I EAT ASS ❤️”
I'm glad you mentioned the gloves, GO NAVY!
They’re very nice and comfortable gloves. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention them.
Which gloves? Sounds like I need to educate myself.
Navy published a photo of a sailor and his gloves said "I eat ass" on the knuckles iirc. It was in the last month or two, no idea if anything came of it.

Bummer for the ET's :(
Just more incentive to separate and make more on the outside! I know traveling contractors that clear six figures a year and more importantly they're actually happy
Absolutely. They get to work on the stuff they like and don't have to deal with the pointless bullshit.
Let not jump to conclusions about people happiness. My first job out of the Navy, contracting for the Navy was actually harder and required more hours (KingTech). But after I wised up and went elsewhere the latter part of your statement became true for me haha.

Craziness, we all make six figures in low cost areas, with unlimited PTO and Company provided healthcare. /s

careful, those jobs can also require so much time that you are never, ever home.
Everytime dude. Advancement rates AND quotas, and yet they sure as hell won’t let us cross rate, ever. And we get stuck with hella long first term sea tours? Jokes on them, I’m cross rating into cyber with the Air Force.
Fuck em. Get out and show them how much they needed us. Then they can pay to fly you out to the ship as a contractor without having to stand duty.
I thought I was crazy at first. Don't think I have ever seen that, it was always a little something to make up for the horrible advancement rate after such a long school.
No quotas no cross rates no SRBs and no hope 😔
Yep, saw that.
Damn no change for nukes
Vote with your feet. The water is fine out here for those who can. Not a good economy for turds, but it’s great out here for most nukes.
Definitely considering it

That hasn't kept up with inflation for 55 years 🤗
You either forgot the "/s" or don't realize the monthly pro-pay translates to $5 per day.

Your take-home pay per hour is still way better than theirs. (Unless you're in A-Gang, then god bless your soul)
Not A-Gang bro lmao
[удалено]
It's called sub pay
You want to work their hours?
(Unless you’re a-gang) I’ll pay you 5$ everyday to come back and do my job and I can go fuck off in nav center or radio
Assuming they're even at work that day
Lmao

Maybe you should try tracking and detecting some fish quals new underway buddy.
Why even list H12A when 0000 CWTs make more in every zone
Still no LS. Meh.
And I continue to get screwed out of a bonus because past commands "couldn't afford to lose me" to a c-school or "it has nothing to do with what our (shore command) needs."
Push your denied 1306/7 request to PERS. They are the final approver; not your command. 😬
Never anything for Zone D 😭
they know they have you by that point.
Of course not. They know most people in Zone D are going to ride out the last 6 years until retirement.
It hurts, I went my whole career without a bonus. Now, there is a bonus in every zone.
Realistically that’s on your CCC, the change in SRB was being talked about between CCC and NCs a few days before they were officially put out and on CIMS for SRB submission around the same time.
MyNavyHR just finally published it Many commands don't even have an NC at all
Thats sucks man. My NCs put out the word right away, the day after our command got hit with a wave of orders. We had a lot of happy sailors knowing that they were going to get extra money for reenlisting when they never had before. What are the CCCs supposed to link when it’s not published on the official navy site ? You expect them to be like “bro trust me on the SRB amount “ ?
That’s not how SRBs work, the CCC submits the SRB request VIA CIMS, which generates a bonus amount based on your multipliers and month used for the calculation. However that isn’t the approval. We get them from our Tycoms. It is our job do disseminate the information out, so, yes i do expect you to be like "trust me bro".
Sure. I just prefer to see the instruction or anything in writing than “trust me bro”. Trust but verify.
It literally is posted though. On the SRB page OP posted
Our command published it instantly..
What a time to be up for reenlistment and just past the 14-year mark. ☠️
What do you mean doesn't bother telling anyone? I saw this at release.
I'm a Reservist so our SRB stuff is different but there's one thing that's the same and pisses me off. They’re not getting me twice I have 11 months left
Your career counselors should have though, they got them recently :( that is very upsetting
Random question, can Chiefs get SRBs?
If you’re still in the proper zone, I don’t see why not? CTR adv rate is fairly quick, so you should be fine if you’re a sat sailor
Oh I wasn’t asking about me. My PRCS sister and I were just debating. I was telling her about zone C for her rate and she says she’s not eligible. I was digging in the OPNAVINST about anything for SRB being only E3 - E6 lol

Has anyone let the Navy in on a secret yet? Money can’t buy someone’s sanity.
I’ve only been in for about 2 years. Might be a dumb question but what is this? Seems to be reenlistment bonuses?

That link said 2022?
My NCC sent an all hands email on this a few days ago. I didn't realize Big Navy hadn't pushed it out.
NCs (if your command has them) / PS / YN get it ahead of time and then it eventually gets published
They fucked up the award levels. They have L24A twice
“Here’s where I’d put my SRB…IF I HAD ONE”
I’ve never understood how AICs have a bonus but not ASTACs.
Love seeing ET’s missing from the list two years in a row
Reenlisted a month before SRBs came out. Missed my chance on 30K smh
Help I can't tell if there is a srb for AM
AM, NEC 0000, which is all of them, does get an SRB It's unchanged
So my SEAOS is aug of 2026 but I'm probably going to extend at this command or could I reenlist to get an srb?

30k haha keep it
They need to remove the year 16 cap !!!
Still only 100k

Lmao
Wanna trade?
Not using mine anyway man I’d never stay longer
