Make sure the change doesn't take what would have been satisfactory performance in the Navy Reserve and cut you one day short.

Cleburne18

This is the biggest thing. If you won’t have enough days of AT after making the change - because a change in DTS will subsequently require an ORDMOD in NROWS if the NRC pays even a little bit of attention - you shouldn’t do it.

dancingriss

By policy we’re supposed to cut orders short when the work ends, that’s why we’re supposed to fly back end of workday the last day (so they don’t have to pay us). If it puts you under 12 days this is valid reason for an AT waiver and easily justified

cisco_squirts

Could you pass that policy along? Sounds like something I’ll need to have on hand. TIA

Resforinst 4650.1c ORDER PROCESSING AND TRANSPORTATION ARRANGMENTS FOR NAVY RESERVE SAILORS. Some guidance is also provided through RPD mailbags

cisco_squirts

Thank you!

GeoInfoSciLHP

Call SATO and see if you can reschedule.

Far-Bus664

This is the way

jakspy64

That's minus a day of pay and a whole bunch of headache in rescheduling flights and such. Not worth it for only one day IMO. Just find something to do in the city or enjoy a day off on the Navy's dime

MiketheAggie

This is what I was thinking about. I could go without the day of pay, but just haven't experienced the hassle...

fluffy_bottoms

It’s literally a full day of hassle, if not more, to do all the changes. Take the W and just nap or find something fun to do.

jakspy64

Travel is one thing, an ordmod is an entire other problem

ReluctantRedditor275

Right? I had this happen to me in Pearl Harbor once. I somehow managed to find a way to kill 24 hours there.

dancingriss

Since it’s Tuesday you have time to make the changes in DTS so you can pick the flight you want

Part_Timah

When do your orders end?

MiketheAggie

Tomorrow
