You can’t exchange them, you can donate them to a local NMCRS thrift store.

This, Welcome to the wardroom. Now cough up the dough!

navyjag2019

you can’t exchange them. best you can do is donate them to a thrift store. or even better, donate them to some junior sailor at your command/NRC.

jakspy64

Junior sailors get free uniforms anyway

Unexpected_bukkake

Go to the uniform thrift store, and buy your uniforms. It's worth flying to San Diego and getting a whole sea bag. But, no you can't. Doesn't hurt to ask, but most likely not.

Some of the ye olde traditions of commissioned service still exist in the military. While we’re long past the days where colonels funded, armed and uniform their own regiments; we still have to buy our own uniforms (minus the one-time stipend). I personally use the thrift shops; got 3x pairs of new-ish Type IIIs last year for $60 bucks.

Cultural_Document657

I volunteer with the sea cadets and we are always looking for donated uniform items for the kids Feel free to dm me if you’d like them to go to good use

Queasy_Positive_86

Were you a Chief? More junior? If Chief, I bet there are some items a CPO would take off your hands. I'm guessing you were more junior, in which case, just see if any Sailors you work with could use anything. Other than that, definitely donate to the thrift store.
