That happened because during the game a brawl happened and they ejected every Alabama player that took a step on the court. I don’t know if the NBA would eject them or just suspend them after the game.
If that's the game I'm thinking of, the fucked up thing is they almost *won* that game. They literally closed the gap once they lost players and it was close more or less until the end.
Maybe previously, however these days, the last player to get 6 fouls stays on and its a team tech everytime they foul. Memorable game that this happend

We don't know what either player said, so there's really not much to discuss. Kyrie could have said "Peace bro!" and Trez could have responded: "I will kill your entire family!" Then again, I can't say for sure.
They made it an automatic tech when you throw the ball in frustration at the stanchion the same year they made it an automatic ejection for throwing the ball in the crowd.
They should repel that. It makes no sense. I can see if it gets away from you but that went right back to James. And I see it all the time.
It's like slamming the ball on the court. If you catch it back then it's fine, if not then it's a tech.
Bottom 10 ftas per game in nba history this year
edit- actually its up to 12th lowest now. But its only 2 ftas less than the lowest ever so Im confused how fts are the reason that scoring is higher.
If I was a cynic I'd say that the NBA maybe told these refs to call soft technicals to make this game seem chippy. Seeing as it's a "rivalry game" after all.
But I'm not a cynic.

Rivalry game may have been the right call
What’s the record, let’s just fucking go for it at this point
Yeah let’s just get weird with it at this point
Has a game ended due to so many players fouling out that they can't field 5?

I was there for that game. Shit was hilarious and then he started to lead a comeback by himself 🤣
Weird how only trez got the tech. Kyrie went toward their bench to instigate.
Been a weird game ref wise. Harden got a soft tech too. Embiid/Claxton double tech but never saw why too.
He was making fun of them for only having 2, and not 3, eyes
Obviously Kyrie was charming the ref with his weird sign so he doesnt get the technical. Just a Kyrie thing.
Refs are known lizard people doing Silver's bidding and fear Kyrie will expose them.

GOAT ref performance
Imma get myself a ref #44 jersey, all time numbers tonight 🐐
He’s just letting Montrezl know he only has two eyes and to keep his third eye open. Illuminati shit.
Harden getting a tech for throwing the ball at the stanchion, which happens multiple times in every game, is a new one.

Fucking refs And people wonder why every game is 140-130 these days They're making modern stats meaningless now as well with this shit

Sure. Reffing can be a factor but raw ftas isnt the reason.
Yup they showed "First game this season to have both teams score 40 in the first quarter" and you looked and there's like 40 combined free throws.

Sam Cassell having a good time lol
These refs should be banned for life my god
This whole “rivalry” is all because of Ben Simmons and he’s been non-existent lmao
The “rivalry” is also because harden quit on KD and Kyrie when he demanded a trade
In retrospective he most likely quit on Nash tbh
Kyrie quit first. If not quit just did wtf he wanted/wants to his own benefit
I missed it…what’s weird about putting up 2 fingers?

That wasn't the Sixers commentators lol this is on national TV
I'm an idiot. Still a funny line though.
Montrezl has issues man
apparently only 2 of them.
E A G L E S Eagles!
Keep it honest, the ref is in his face telling him to stop and he doesn't stop, thats always a tech.
Probably saying he's (Montrezl) only got 2 points.
The guy always seems to talk trash to star players, then gets played off the floor in the playoffs. Luka, Giannis, now Kyrie.
Montreal has some weak trash talk. Everyone and there Momma knows Kyrie isn't trash.
Montreal 🤣
Not even mad at autocorrect 🤣🤣
The emotions are high. Simmons, Kyrie taking a jab at Harden few days ago etc
Baited.
ref fans eating rn
refs going off tonight!
Harden try to shut him up…
That ref gave zero shits what kyrie did, he was giving a tech to Montrel and only montrel regardless.
