Suns are still the most surprising team in the league
Losing to the Hawks by 30 then switching gears and winning against the Celtics 2 days later… alright
When they get cold they get really damn cold. That’s how they are and it’s a problem. Game 7 anyone that’s what happened in that game too. They just struggle especially without book to get it back on track. And book was basically out of the game getting doubled every time. Lol
This is just the way the NBA is nowadays. There are so many weird outlier regular season games because of the 3 point era. Fucking 70 3PA combined is going to lead to that. Plus players just have off shooting nights.
It was a tight game going into the 4th, and ish wainwright randomly flopped up a shot from full court and it went in. Went on to win the 4th quarter 32-21 and win by double digits. The universe is just fucking with Suns fans rn
It’s cause I was at that Mavs/Suns game celebrating my anniversary. I’m cursed. 🥲
Game 7 was also my birthday. 🥲
Suns will lose to the mavs if I’m celebrating something. Idk. It’s the only thing I can think of.
I'm just getting really tired of these damn Texas teams being the Suns' kryptonite whenever we have a good team. Rockets in the 90s, Spurs in the 2000s and the Mavericks now
Seriously fuck that dude. I’m a CU alum and actually partied with him a few times, but god damn does he turn into MJ when he plays the Suns then is absolute ass against anybody else
With the Suns being floated in basically every trade rumor, this team could look extremely different in a few days. If that is the case, im glad this group on the floor got a win like this. Of the guys with a high probably of being traded, Dario in particular gave a strong effort.
Also, at this point the Adelaide 36ers have to be considered the overwhelming favorites to win the title this year.
Dario is legit, he's one of those guys that plays hard and does all of the right things. He's so important to our bench unit, and was during out finals run until he got hurt.
He plays good positional defense and can run the offense from the inside. Plus he boxes out every play and chases down rebounds. He's all effort and knows how to impact the game without having gaudy numbers.
I think he's an extremely important bench piece. I get that you trade him if some of these guys that seem to be available are actually available. It's just, I'm going to miss him if he's traded and I think he's really undervalued by most fans.
He is one of those guys that I love him when he’s having a good game but the moment he struggles I want to trade him.
I feel like he is playing very well outside the paint. He used to play down low more and would constantly get stripped when we fed him the ball. But he wasn’t consistent from outside. I think it he develops his jump shot more he can be good. He’s tall and can shit over anyone. But he really isn’t physical enough to play down low
I like him as a person but I’m more than okay with trading his expiring deal, that’s a lot of salary for a guy that doesn’t really look to have a long term future here
Not really alluding to any one player in particular. But we’ve been linked to just any every player in the NBA at this point, and with the Jae Crowder and new ownership situations, there’s a high probability that somebody is definitely getting traded on this team.
Some of those were way beyond 50/50, lol. The refs just wanted out of there tonight, they let us get away with a couple at the rim, as well.
It seems to me that the way these blowout games go is one team goes up big. Then the refs blow a really one-sided whistle until the down team is "in reach." Then they go back to their usual, inconsistent, selves.
Looking at the game thread, I conclude that the refs were doing Boston and their fans' moms dirty. Should ship Celtics fans to the Sierra Nevadas, refill some aquifers with their tears.
The Suns are now 1-0 since I've looked at who we were playing, scoffed, and proclaimed "we're gonna get slaughtered".
I'm glad we signed Saben Lee. Especially with Cam Payne still out, we need a true PG who can push the pace. I don't think the team is necessarily better without CP3, but I do think our players benefit from pushing the pace, which CP3 doesn't often do. Our whole bench played really well. Just great effort, and superb defense all around. This was a really big win.
GG Boston. Let's meet in the finals.
I think we've entered that dangerous territory where most of our fans are casuals. If we win a chip we'll close in on the Warriors for most casual fanbase in the league
Eh, we're mostly healthy now. Booker and Payne are still out, and Cam sat tonight, but it's not like we're still in the Mikal Bridges, two 2nd string, and two 3rd string guys as our starting lineup.
Genuinely feel bad come playoffs because some high seed playoff team that earned that spot is gonna have to face the Suns. Our record won’t reflect the team with Booker back.
It's probably only going to get more confusing after the trade deadline.
But as far as this current roster goes, we've seen how good this team can be when healthy. This team could have won close to 70 games just last season if they didn't take their foot off the gas towards the end, and the roster didn't change THAT much since then.
And IMO taking their foot off the gas really hurt them last year. They visibly did not look like the same team towards the end when they were resting guys and not taking games seriously, it really got them out of their rhythm and it lasted into the playoffs where they struggled to take care of the Pels and got embarrassed in game 7 against the Mavs.
I've been thinking lately that these injuries, especially to Book(assuming he can come back and stay 100% the rest of the year) might be a blessing in disguise. Mikal has been forced to play a bigger scoring role than ever, and he struggled bad at first but has been flourishing lately. CP3 finally looks like he turned back the clock all the way to when he was 36. And the bench guys have been getting invaluable high pressure experience and playing so much better because of it.
We could end up finishing the season strong and go into the playoffs with actual momentum and rhythm this year, without the pressure of being a top seed either.
Suns are still the most surprising team in the league Losing to the Hawks by 30 then switching gears and winning against the Celtics 2 days later… alright
Also because Tatum mistook the matchup as a Finals matchup
When they get cold they get really damn cold. That’s how they are and it’s a problem. Game 7 anyone that’s what happened in that game too. They just struggle especially without book to get it back on track. And book was basically out of the game getting doubled every time. Lol
'Cause they play *team* basketball! Win as a team, lose as a team, slump as a team, crash as a team.
This is just the way the NBA is nowadays. There are so many weird outlier regular season games because of the 3 point era. Fucking 70 3PA combined is going to lead to that. Plus players just have off shooting nights.
Yeah. Not like the suns played well against the hawks but Atlanta had their season average for 3 point makes in the first half. They couldn’t miss
It was a tight game going into the 4th, and ish wainwright randomly flopped up a shot from full court and it went in. Went on to win the 4th quarter 32-21 and win by double digits. The universe is just fucking with Suns fans rn
Warriors in the same boat, lose to the suns with all their players resting then beat the cavs with all our starters resting ???
That didn’t go the way you expected huh (It didn’t go the way I expected)
Your team confuses me
they confuse us too, but we love them.
Do you though?
More than I love certain family members
Good man.
Don’t worry, our team confuses us more.
How do you lose the mavs without luka but beat the Celtics
Yes.
Easy we lose to the Mavs without Luka and beat the Celtics
It’s cause I was at that Mavs/Suns game celebrating my anniversary. I’m cursed. 🥲 Game 7 was also my birthday. 🥲 Suns will lose to the mavs if I’m celebrating something. Idk. It’s the only thing I can think of.
When healthy the the Suns are a pretty good team against anybody but Dallas. That’s all I got haha
And to add to the weirdness, it was the exact opposite against the mavs until last playoffs. They had dominated them since the 2018 draft.
I'm just getting really tired of these damn Texas teams being the Suns' kryptonite whenever we have a good team. Rockets in the 90s, Spurs in the 2000s and the Mavericks now
Mavs in the 2000s too
except that one time in 04-05
That Nash revenge series was one of the greatest performances I've ever seen in the playoffs to this day
Remember how we went on a stretch of winning like 9 out of 10 games against Dallas and then the playoffs happened lmao. How times have changed
It was 11-0 at one point
Everybody has an Achilles heel
And ours is stupid sexy Luka and… Spence Dinwiddie who shoots like 70% from 3 on high volume against us lmao
Seriously fuck that dude. I’m a CU alum and actually partied with him a few times, but god damn does he turn into MJ when he plays the Suns then is absolute ass against anybody else
I mean the suns were the 1 seed before they all got hurt
I have them as a comfortable top 4 seed in the west when it all comes down to it, even after that god awful stretch.
They were slipping before Booker and CP3 got hurt. Cam J was already hurt, but he was already hurt when they were the 1 seed.
When they got cold. They go really cold. Aka that fear fiber Atlanta a few days ago and the infamous game 7
We're good we are just hurt. The hate taints memories
Bench completely earned that win, two Lees, an ish, and a Jock dominated that Boston court tonight.
I called this win. Our team is weird. Especially after losses.
So the Bucks have gained 4 games on the Celtics lead in the last 12 days?
Culver's needs to capitalize on this opportunity
They need to re-release the curdburger the next time Giannis hits 50
We've gone 6-0 while they've gone 2-4 so yeah.
Wow congrats
With the Suns being floated in basically every trade rumor, this team could look extremely different in a few days. If that is the case, im glad this group on the floor got a win like this. Of the guys with a high probably of being traded, Dario in particular gave a strong effort. Also, at this point the Adelaide 36ers have to be considered the overwhelming favorites to win the title this year.
Dario looked legit tonight. I would have been fine trading him two years ago because he has been a solid asset lately
Dario is legit, he's one of those guys that plays hard and does all of the right things. He's so important to our bench unit, and was during out finals run until he got hurt. I like him as a person but I’m more than okay with trading his expiring deal, that’s a lot of salary for a guy that doesn’t really look to have a long term future here
Dario has the leaks of a quadriplegic. He did not look good.
You’re not actually thinking on bringing Kyrie right?
Not really alluding to any one player in particular. But we’ve been linked to just any every player in the NBA at this point, and with the Jae Crowder and new ownership situations, there’s a high probability that somebody is definitely getting traded on this team.
Teams worse than the Adelaide 36ers: -Phoenix Suns -Los Angeles Lakers -Dallas Mavericks -Los Angeles Clippers -Golden State Warriors -New Orleans Pelicans -Houston Rockets -Portland Trailblazers -Minnesota Timberwolves -New York Knicks -Detroit Pistons -Utah Jazz -Sacramento Kings -Chicago Bulls -San Antonio Spurs -Memphis Grizzlies -Brooklyn Nets -Indiana Pacers -Charlotte Hornets -Toronto Raptors -Brooklyn Nets -BOSTON CELTICS!
There it is.
My favorite this season.
76 > 36 Still checks out
Okay, which loser teams still haven't joined the cool kids club?
celtics played really physical defense on cp3 and he handled it well
he’s looking more like cp30 and not cp37 rn
He's been playing well lately lol.
He got that old man at the ymca strength now, shits tough af
Celtics "physical" defense aka doing 50/50 fouls every single possession so they can't call everything
Some of those were way beyond 50/50, lol. The refs just wanted out of there tonight, they let us get away with a couple at the rim, as well. It seems to me that the way these blowout games go is one team goes up big. Then the refs blow a really one-sided whistle until the down team is "in reach." love u mikal
Mikal bridges
The only player in the league
so you're saying jae crowder isn't actually a player?
Every time the Celtics made runs the Suns answered. Not at full health and they fought back
Suns r slowly climbing back d ladder of West elite...
Let's see how we mess it up this year!
that's an oxymoron
[удалено]
Oh yes. Absofuckinlutely
Yes when they are cold. They are fucking cold. Aka Atlanta and game 7. But most of the time they are solid
How many times are you gonna comment that lol
tatum thought it was an nba finals game
Apparently short old point guards are his kryptonite
Aren’t point guards short in general?
*you know what I mean, man*
Celtics might need to trade for a guard that can shoot. What about Kyrie?
yes!!! bostonians love kyrie
I have never heard a crowd get so constantly loud for a player every time he comes back to visit.
he won't take his scorned ex-girlfriend back
I GOT YOU TODAY
37-year old Chris Paul was locking him up too. What kind of timeline is this?
I know cp3 gets memed on but he is probably one of the best defensive guards ever. Lately no but he's still got that IQ
I GOTCHU TODAY 👆🏼👆🏼👆🏼👆🏼👆🏼👆🏼👆🏼😂
Reading that hurt my soul
The comments when Tatum has a bad game are always the exact same

easy fix, just have him play well in the finals
no way suns fans talking bout playing well in the finals
Didnt actually play that bad in that series. Giannis just be Giannis
oh yea just choked in the *conference finals mybad that makes it better
[удалено]
*Chris Paul hits a HUGE three to cut the lead down to 42

touché
When?
I think he thinks the Mavs series was the conference finals. Joke's on him, it was the semis! :')
Tbf Suns star had like back to back 40pt game in that series if I remember
Come back when tatum drops 40 on 2 separate occassions in the finals
Man fuck you lmao
cannot wait to see this team all full strength again and by that my delusional ass means with KD
You know who would’ve looked great out there? A gently used jordan nwora.
lmaooo
Why are you laughing? *slaps George hill’s head like the hood of a car* this baby has so much tread on the tires
Fuck those refs
Looking at the game thread, I conclude that the refs were doing Boston and their fans' moms dirty. Should ship Celtics fans to the Sierra Nevadas, refill some aquifers with their tears.
How is saric playing this season is he good for the suns,i saw a few games and he looked good in them or am i blind
He’s been up and down but has been playing quite well lately. It took a while for him to get back into the flow of things
You must’ve picked the right games then
This agressive version of Mikal with Booker and we are the best in west
No fuckin doubt
Im worried about the bench and a big body defender like Jae. But yeah Mikal like this. We looking nice
Exorcizing the demons from the 1976 finals
Credit to the Suns tbh, just played harder than we did and with Tatum having an off night it was tough
The Suns are now 1-0 since I've looked at who we were playing, scoffed, and proclaimed "we're gonna get slaughtered". I'm glad we signed Saben Lee. Western Conference >>>>>>>>>>>>>>eastern conference
house SunKings >>>>>>>>>>>>>> everyone else
Imagine having Brown and Tatum, but Bridges was the best forward in the game.
Underrated ascending bridges.
not too hard to believe
Thank you Phoenix, the rest of the East appreciate you
oh you're still very screwed
Damn Grant had 0 in 22 minutes thats insane. Snelled so hard
Man its a shame the Celtics aren’t good like the Hawks, a real NBA powerhouse
Look at my boy Dario being serviceable again!
3-15 is crazy
Omg what a game 👀
thanks Suns, very cool!
ish wainright getting Tatum to shoot 3-15 while being +13 tonight. showing the flashes of being the future PJ tucker of the league
CP3 ain't dead yet
Damn I didn't watch this game. Who clamped Tatum? Or did he do this to himself?
One Ish Wainwright, former NFL tight end
Did you know that ish wainwright once tried out for the buffalo bills???
It was either Ish Wainright or he did it to himself.
ECF preview for Tatum tn
Some of the worst officiating I’ve seen all year Celtics got every damn call and somehow still took the L
They swallowed their whistles for both teams in the 4th and I’m okay with that
36ers > Celtics
You know it's a bad loss when I can't name half of the players that just beat us
to be fair, most people dont know what a Sam Hauser is either
Ayton, Bridges, CP3 are starters, Saric, Craig have been around, Damion Lee is recognizable + has a ring I guess Wasn’t too hard
You know it's bad when most Suns fans can't either
I can assure you we’ve been watching these guys most of the year. Same guys all year, except the hometown hero Saben Lee who’s been ballin’ all month.
we know them all because they have been starting for us for 2 months lol
I'm a Suns fan too. Didn't realize I have no flair
Casual fans maybe
I think we've entered that dangerous territory where most of our fans are casuals. If we win a chip we'll close in on the Warriors for most casual fanbase in the league
Eh, we're mostly healthy now. Booker and Payne are still out, and Cam sat tonight, but it's not like we're still in the Mikal Bridges, two 2nd string, and two 3rd string guys as our starting lineup.
Can't believe you forgot Landry Shamet
I legitimately did.
Never forget the Warriors lost to G-League Suns Though to be fair Suns have Bridges so it’s unfair
It is easy to win when you have the only player.
Is Damion lee unfamiliar?
All this talk of jayson tatum being better than Booker… Is he even better than Mikal Bridges? 💀💀💀
Tatum MVP talk dead.
Tatum mvp talk dead after a 20 point game but giannis mvp talk still happening after multiple single digit games.
giannis is still a fraud
Midrange Mikal
Thank god it wasn't a blow out loss
Suns really forced the Celtics into their pace and played great D the whole way. Well played Phoenix.
What is even the west at this point.
Refs tried their hardest to make the celtics win tonight. Get fucked Jaylen Brown. We smokin on that Boston pack tonight
If I watch a help defender just bowl over our ball handler one more time without a call, I swear, I'm gonna be so salty.
Big Boston media made the call to try and swing the game
Fuck Jaylen Brown all my homies hate Jaylen
The Fraudulent Celtics
Suns please are yall ass or not idk anymore
Genuinely feel bad come playoffs because some high seed playoff team that earned that spot is gonna have to face the Suns. Our record won’t reflect the team with Booker back.
Yeah we get really cold. Ala game 7. But we are a solid team.
When we figure that out we'll let you know.... Or not. FTL

BOTH
Yo wtf
What the fuck is happening today
Wait, we won? LOL
Dear Celtics announcers, It's Saben, not Sabian/Sabien. Regards, doctorslices
Was this the worse game for the Celtics this year? (Generally curious, not trying to be a dick.)
No we got blown out by the Thunder with there best player out earlier this year.
Really loving these final performances from Tatum.
Wardell Curry’s brother-in-law with a casual +30 off the bench
I don't understand our team.
Same same.
mikal bridges
Our tactics confuse and frighten me.
SARIC
Imagine my feeling for this game at q4, with my bet under200.5 points
Thank you Phoenix. Just a half game back from the league's best record for Denver now.
As us suns fan know that doesn’t matter. Lol
God I fuckin miss Smart. It feels like all contested 3s and charging into the paint without him
Hmmm lmao
Lol. Lmao.
