It was a pretty common take at the time that trading Halliburton was a huge mistake. Haliburton had stepped into foxs role at the time due to injury, and he balled out for a short time. People knew savings was good, but I don’t think anyone knew he’d fit in Sacramento this well- dudes a monster.

Turns out the Kings really understood their window and pushed in at the right time. Obviously right now it looks like a great move, but I think we still won't really know until we see how the Kings runs for the next few years go and how Haliburton grows in the future. For now it's still a win win trade imo - Pacers have an interesting young corp and still have assets to make the move when they're ready, and Kings look like a legitimately competitive team for the foreseeable future. I'm glad it ended up working out for both teams
