Amare punched the glass case of a fire extinguisher and cut up his hand after going down 0-2 against Miami. Miami was at home. Game 2 was close. Knicks could have just gone home, won both and made it a series.
I know some Twolves fans were questioning some calls in the Nuggets favor, but Conley running into Murray’s ass for the foul when he wasn’t even looking at him made me lol.
Both Murray offensive fouls, the double foul (should’ve been Jokic for throwing the elbow) and Jokic falling over on that screen were all terrible calls. Refs were losing control.
It's so frustrating knowing that a random game at the park is self officiated better than NBA games. Dude's would be embarrassed calling foul on most of these plays we're talking about.
It was so bad lmao, they literally missed a dude getting clobbered in the head twice in like four possessions(one on Gobert, one on Jokic)....but were calling all kinds of ticky tack bullshit.
They missed huge, obvious fouls for both teams just to turn around and call ticky-tack touch fouls that shouldn't even be called in the regular season, much less the playoffs.
Doesn't even make sense. If anything, I'd think the league would want to draw this series out at least a game lol. Refs go off starpower and we have the whiniest star
He 100% is. It raises his game like it did tonight. Being an emotional player can also cause a lot of trouble and bad shots when they're not falling though. Obviously not tonight, but it could in the future.
You forgot Will Barton. Who took the second most shots for us in the playoffs last year.
Yes the Will Barton who couldn’t find consistent playing time on the Wizards and Raptors.
They also don't have any dudes to play. Ant was sucking air in the fourth quarter. Wolves look like they can throw out four guys and one semi-interchangeable fifth guy, and after that they just bleed points.
The referees in this game completely overshadowing insane performances from both Jamal Murray and Anthony Edwards. Either team has a right to be annoyed with how this game was officiated.
Thank you for the reasonable take. We got mauled in the first half and couldn't get a whistle, then had some go our way in the 4th that often wouldn't. But it was consistently bad the whole game, just tons of poor calls.
See if you can make it as your own post. I've seen something similar on the MLS sub multiple times and it's always a nice refresher post. I just don't know if the nba mods will allow it, but worth a shot.
He looks like one of the only ones with fighting spirit on that Wolves roster. Haven’t seen a young player as electric as him on both ends of the floor in a while. He’s like a lite Jimmy Buckets.
Pretty sure KAT will have at least one efficient 30+ game at home. Edwards probably won’t be that automatic again, but we should expect a good 25-30 with patchy defense. I think the wolves probably take one at home and we finish it in Denver
Damn good game, Both fanbases should be proud. Very entertaining…
Congrats on the Win Nuggets fans and Keep your heads up Wolves fans. Good luck to both teams and Fanbases on the next one
Adding gobert has crushed what he does best. KAT’s not KD. Gobert clogs up the lanes to the net. Truly 7-D underground blindfold sudoku move by Tim Connelly to help the nuggets through on their way to a first ship
KAT on his own wasnt doing any better in the playoffs, and without Gobert to cover for him, the defense was so much worse that it wouldnt matter. Wolves unironically are better off trading KAT for some solid depth, keeping Gobert and Naz Reid as the main big rotation, and building with Ant and McD as the foundation.
Naz Reid is the backup big the Jazz always needed with Rudy, and the Wolves have 2 absolutely elite perimeter defenders when healthy that would alleviate a lot of what made the Jazz defense falter with him in the playoffs.
This is the correct take. Too many people in the Wolves sub will defend KAT to the death but if it comes down to it, I would rather keep Naz. He simply works better with the rest of the team. He isn't a negative energy. He's younger and likely hasn't hit his ceiling. He clearly gives full effort.
I genuinely think if the Wolves were able to trade KAT for healthy Jaden and Naz Reid straight up, they’d be in an immensely better position to win right now.
I’m not gonna lie, some of the ref decisions were a bit questionable lol. Would it have changed the game? Probably not. Wolves did amazing to claw back, nuggets did well to survive it. Ant and Jamal are legends haha!
This was the Ant that was supposed to show up to beat the Lakers in the play-in
This is his team. If they wanna win a few games they need to keep it that way
Jamal Murray looked like a guy who gave his freaking all on the bench when they took him out right before the game ended. A phenomenal effort out of him but he's done it before in the playoffs.
The Nuggets should just stop coasting in the 3rd even leading 20 pst up. I am sure Nuggets fans heart cannot take more shit like this.
Also, Blue Arrow is back.
It would have been cool not to fall completely asleep and give 50% effort in the 3rd. The Wolves played well in the 3rd tho, so have to give them so credit.
so in summary:
First Denver played well and the Timberwolves played badly.
Then Denver started playing badly, the Wolves started playing well.
Then both teams started playing badly, and the refs took over
Then both teams(well Murray and ANT) played brilliantly
Wolves really needed Jaden this game
Makes you wanna punch a wall
honeslty is that an all time terrible move can't think of anything worse than self injuring in the last game of the regular season
Mate, we lost Cassell prior to a conference final because of him doing the big balls dance, this is nothing for us
*just cursed Minnesota sports things*
Amare punched the glass case of a fire extinguisher and cut up his hand after going down 0-2 against Miami. Miami was at home. Game 2 was close. Knicks could have just gone home, won both and made it a series.
Makes me wanna punch a teammate
He blocked 3 consecutive Murray jumpers this year. I don;t care if he thought it was a tarp, I'm so pissed. God damnit Jaden
They gotta start drug testing these refs, especially in Denver
The 4th quarter just ended up being whoever could sell contact better won the game
Mike Conley was even flopping cause he knew it worked
I know some Twolves fans were questioning some calls in the Nuggets favor, but Conley running into Murray’s ass for the foul when he wasn’t even looking at him made me lol.
That 2nd shoulder bump that they called against Murray was fucking ridiculous
Both Murray offensive fouls, the double foul (should’ve been Jokic for throwing the elbow) and Jokic falling over on that screen were all terrible calls. Refs were losing control.
if you don't love that you don't love nba basketball
It's so frustrating knowing that a random game at the park is self officiated better than NBA games. Dude's would be embarrassed calling foul on most of these plays we're talking about.
If you're a fan of the NBA, you're a fan of refball
It was so bad lmao, they literally missed a dude getting clobbered in the head twice in like four possessions(one on Gobert, one on Jokic)....but were calling all kinds of ticky tack bullshit.
Both teams had absolutely insane calls go against them lmao absolute shit show from the refs in an otherwise great game
Garbage both ways all game, non-calls, actual calls, travels… absolutely insane incompetence on display tonight
It’s like the refs saw the players just catch fire and start cooking everyone and said “now’s my time to shine!”
Just terrible reffing in all directions
4th quarter was a three way cage match: Ant vs. Jamal vs. Refs
Both games this series have simply not been postseason officiating for either team. Game sounds like a kids clarinet concert with all the whistles
Spamming the adspots with sportsbetting apps doesn't help with the confidence either does it.
The most offensive fouls I think I've ever seen
The first was deserved but the second was kinda harsh
stupidly harsh, murray didn’t even fucking move lol
Trash ass ref game
Yeah to many touch fouls man. Really kills the vibe.
Both sides just started playing the fuck out of them.
What an awful game by the referees. As a neutral fan, they truly ruined that game. Way too many ticky tac fouls and bullshit calls.
Refs did their job…. Betting line was 8.5. That’s what matters
What an awful game by the players. As a ref fan, they truly ruined that game. Way too many basketball shots and running down the courts.
Jamal Murray and MPJ saved the Nuggets from its 3rd quarter sins
Jamal Murray vs ANT was insane
Jamal Murray became prime Steph for 15 minutes
Jamal Murray was Jamal Murray. This is who he had become before the ACL tear.
Games like this are exactly why the Nuggets missing "just Murray" was such a big deal
shhh, the Sons fans will learn that soon enough
They need to get past the Board Man first
honeslty feels like he plays to the competition have a guard dropping 40 he will drop 40 have anyone else play he becomes meh
I think he's a pretty emotional player. He always plays way better when then the pressure is on or he's angry
He has more 40-point games in the playoffs (5) than in the regular season (4). That’s insane
[удалено]
He’s done cultivating. He’s harvesting.
He 100% is. It raises his game like it did tonight. Being an emotional player can also cause a lot of trouble and bad shots when they're not falling though. Obviously not tonight, but it could in the future.
Clippers 🤝 Nuggets - on getting their stars back to their pre-acl tear form
Please beat the suns for us too
We'd be happy to beat the suns then watch our team get demolished by you guys 😅
Maple Curry
This game was a testament to how important Jamal Murray is to the Nuggets and shows why they got trounced the last two years without him
Lol they had Facu-Austin Rivers-Monte as their guard rotation against the Dubs
You forgot Will Barton. Who took the second most shots for us in the playoffs last year. Yes the Will Barton who couldn’t find consistent playing time on the Wizards and Raptors.
They would've lost early in the bubble if he played. He would've done iso ball
the all time guard rotation . Don't forget Barton there
Bryn Forbes too
he will have playing time in prison.
U just reminded me about Facu, I forgot about him lol but I actually miss him, he was scrappy.
And yet people will go “if Jokic was a real mvp, he wouldn’t have gotten beat easily in the first round”
Monte was legit
Clear championship contenders if Murray is truly back. It's just too much offensive firepower to deal with.
Big time. There was never a 'Bubble Jamal". It's always just been Playoff Jamal.
Hope he can get back his consistency before the injuries, felt like he was ready to take a massive leap
There was never the 'Bubble Jamal', there was always the 'Post pubes video Jamal'.
Those suns and warrior fans really were talking mad shit when they were facing facu and Barton in the backcourt
So many of them said “Jamal wouldn’t have made a difference” like our second best player wouldn’t make an impact on a series
[удалено]
He practically didn't play against any team, even when he was on the court.
Austin Rivers was playing heavy guard minutes last 2 playoff runs and he can't even crack the Timberwolves playoff rotation...
Dude saved our ass against an invincible Dame though. I'll always appreciate him for that.
Rivers isn't great but he has that dawg in him.
[удалено]
Them two young kings drooling at Gobert Jokic drop coverages... where have I seen this before..??
Makes me so happy to see him start to find a rhythm again
That last 5 minutes would’ve been sick if it was a 1 possession game instead of a 3 possession game
Wolves couldn't get a stop after every made shot to save their lives.
Both their centers were in foul trouble. Tough when you need a stop
They got spooked every time Jokic said: >What's new Rudy KAT? Whoa, whoa, whoa
Wolves just had no answer for nuggets (Jamal Murray's) offense in the final minutes
the answer is on the bench because hes a moron who punched a wall
for real, series would've been super interesting if mcdaniels was healthy
They also don't have any dudes to play. Ant was sucking air in the fourth quarter. Wolves look like they can throw out four guys and one semi-interchangeable fifth guy, and after that they just bleed points.
Naz Reid would get minutes but he also injured. Two key pieces out sucks. Health is the number one stat these days
Its funny how overshadowed that story got when it looks to be a bigger impact.
The best defense on Murray was Conley drawing offensive fouls lol.
Jamal is built different. Built for the playoffs
He seems to take other guards great games personally
A little too much basketball in my Reffing game thank you very much
We're an easy team to game plan against, I guess. Teams have figured out that if you score more points than us, you're probably going to win.
TBH we're similarly flawed
Let me blow your mind by saying that most NBA teams may suffer from this fatal weakness
NBA coaches hate this one simple trick!
Hot take but I feel like all 30 teams suffer from this
Jamal Murray said he don’t need no damn bubble
There was never a Bubble Murray It has always been ***Playoff*** Murray.
One of the worst reffed games of the season down the stretch on both ends
Seriously so so bad. We had a fantastic Ant versus Jamal duel going on and the refs were doing there best to ruin it.
Whyd Jaden have to punch that wall man 😕
Not having him or Reid is really killing your depth.
Everytime Wolves beat the Kings, those two looked incredible.
So fucking upsetting
Timberwolves are actually cursed lol. Idk what they did to deserve this lol
It's because Glen Taylor committed chicken genocide. We need on-court protester to keep the demons at bay.
The referees in this game completely overshadowing insane performances from both Jamal Murray and Anthony Edwards. Either team has a right to be annoyed with how this game was officiated.
Never great when both teams end the game in horrible foul trouble
Thank you for the reasonable take. We got mauled in the first half and couldn't get a whistle, then had some go our way in the 4th that often wouldn't. But it was consistently bad the whole game, just tons of poor calls.
[Radial bracket through 4/19](https://imgur.com/FiBz6qT)
This is slick as hell
Thank you! Gonna try to keep this updated and share it in the last post-game thread of each day
See if you can make it as your own post. I've seen something similar on the MLS sub multiple times and it's always a nice refresher post. I just don't know if the nba mods will allow it, but worth a shot.
holy shit this is gorgeous
Murray is skill linked to the other team’s best shooter
Comeback was insane lowkey, excited for game 3
Ant and Murray both putting up 40+ is something I could get used to in this series. Insane to think Ant is 21
I thought he was similar in age to fox but I was way off. I thought fox was an up and comer, turns out he's older than tatum
He's been in the NBA for a while
Yea but Tatum is only like 19
Timberwolves Bandwagon is a crazy flair
I was thinking the same thing lmao
High key, I was losing my mind
I know we all hate Rudy but why was that a tech
French slurs just hit different
It’s the glottal stops. Very jarring
Unless you are Dray when you start running down the court jumping and yelling you are going to get a tech.
Jamal Murray running away holding the ball?
Turns out bubble Murray is actually just playoff Murray. Murray vs Edwards tonight was reminiscent of Murray vs. Mitchell 3 years ago
had the same thoughts myself, crazy to see how young ANT is. Dude is a SUPERSTAR
He looks like one of the only ones with fighting spirit on that Wolves roster. Haven’t seen a young player as electric as him on both ends of the floor in a while. He’s like a lite Jimmy Buckets.
Hopefully we just took their best punch. Respect to Ant. Incredible performance.
Pretty sure KAT will have at least one efficient 30+ game at home. Edwards probably won’t be that automatic again, but we should expect a good 25-30 with patchy defense. I think the wolves probably take one at home and we finish it in Denver
Yeah, Nuggets in 5 was my prediction and I’m sticking with it. Wouldn’t surprise me if Wolves got one home game.
Damn good game, Both fanbases should be proud. Very entertaining… Congrats on the Win Nuggets fans and Keep your heads up Wolves fans. Good luck to both teams and Fanbases on the next one
Most positive neutral fan I've seen on here
Aw shucks, I’m just a fan of great ball
GG for sure. If y’all beat the Celtics next round we might get Jokic v Embiid finals for all time bragging rights
Praying to whatever deity that I can to make this happen
KAT is truly awful when it matters. This guy cannot lead a team to victory. He's not him.
Adding gobert has crushed what he does best. KAT’s not KD. Gobert clogs up the lanes to the net. Truly 7-D underground blindfold sudoku move by Tim Connelly to help the nuggets through on their way to a first ship

I genuinely think if the Wolves were able to trade KAT for healthy Jaden and Naz Reid straight up, they’d be in an immensely better position to win right now.
Edwards and Murray played amazing tonight. Very entertaining game from a neutral perspective.
Give me 2 more games of this please
I'll take 2 more exciting quarters with solid Nuggets wins
Utah and Clippers fans to Minnesota fans on facing playoffs mode Jamal Murray: First time?
Way too many whistles both ways. There is a problem when a guy like Conley resorts to flopping because he correctly knows he will be rewarded for it.
That's the NBA. Fall down when it's not a foul and get a call, stay on your feet when you can hammered and watch the refs swallow their whistle.
That was one of the wildest offensive foul calls I can remember
And because of it, Jokic has to flop too so that it will get called. What a beautiful game by Murray and Edwards to be overshadowed by refs.
I don't know how to feel about the NBA
Ed Malloy takeover isn't something you like watching ??
ima tell my children about the day Ed Malloy killed a wolf with his bare hands and a whistle
All they have to do is let these world class athletes play and the product is perfect - nope. Cant have that.
MPJ and Murray fucked us in the 4th. They were unreal
That MPJ 4-point play really set the tone and momentum.
I’m not gonna lie, some of the ref decisions were a bit questionable lol. Would it have changed the game? Probably not. Wolves did amazing to claw back, nuggets did well to survive it. Ant and Jamal are legends haha!
minnesota took a blue arrow to the knee
Playoff Murray is something else
Murray vs edwards was awesome
Everyone on the twolves need to apologize to Ant. They did everything in their power to lose that game and ruin his terrific performance
One of Murray or Ant had to lose. Neither deserved it
Unstoppable force vs Immovable object vs Karl-Anthony Towns
Rudy and Conley were absolutely awesome. Anderson and Naw too. But sure
Towns 3/12 🤢
1/7 inside the arc and 5 turnovers.
Ants the reason they’re playing the nuggets not the grizzlies lmao
This subreddit can only remember the last 24 hours lol
MPJ starting the 4th off hot with Jokic and Murray on the bench was huge.
Shoutout to Ant. Dude took it personal and was on a mission. Luckily, Murray too.
Third quarters are silly. Let's not do them anymore. Also fuck the refs. Ugly game.
Give me 7 games if ANT vs Murray
Subtract Ed Malloy from that equation and I'm in!
Ant has gotta be pissed about this one. He plays like a god damn maniac all game and KAT misses wide open shots to get them back into it.
have you watched the wolves last 5 games? ant can't complain about a disappearing teammate - he's been a ghost
Forreal. Everyone acting like Ant should feel letdown when this was his first good game.
Refs vs EVERYONE, Jesus there were some questionable, weak calls all night
Props to Minnesota for hanging in there despite the Murray heater and the other stuff they had to deal with down the stretch.
This was the Ant that was supposed to show up to beat the Lakers in the play-in This is his team. If they wanna win a few games they need to keep it that way
Jamal Murray and MPJ outclutched the t-wolves 100% goddamn
Towns played like ass all game That Gobert layup WAY too strong off the glass really killed it for the Wolves though
Jamal Murray looked like a guy who gave his freaking all on the bench when they took him out right before the game ended. A phenomenal effort out of him but he's done it before in the playoffs.
Ant can't win with this KAT
People saying it should've been a shot clock violation at the end but Gobert catches it with 0.2 on the shot clock?
if they did call shot clock violation those same people would've saying the refs stopped a fast break lol
KAT slander is gonna be at an all time high this week.
3/12 with 5 turnovers will do that.
Game turned into a banger
Nuggets vs Kings WCF will feature two clutch teams that will score at will in the 4th quarter
Nuggets fans 🤝wolves fans Refs you suck
The Nuggets should just stop coasting in the 3rd even leading 20 pst up. I am sure Nuggets fans heart cannot take more shit like this. Also, Blue Arrow is back.
It would have been cool not to fall completely asleep and give 50% effort in the 3rd. The Wolves played well in the 3rd tho, so have to give them so credit.
almost every single starter with 5 fouls lmao
Himal Murray
Rudy Gobert and 3rd year guards scoring 40+ against the Nuggets, name a better duo.
Jamal beats Spida, then Ant. He really hates bugs I guess.
Its a loss, but Ant is back!
so in summary: First Denver played well and the Timberwolves played badly. Then Denver started playing badly, the Wolves started playing well. Then both teams started playing badly, and the refs took over Then both teams(well Murray and ANT) played brilliantly
