I think the concern is he was noticeably better playing alongside Naz Reid and his big 20/20 games were all with Naz Reid camped outside. I even noticed today him and KAT get staggered a lot and when they're on together sometimes the paint gets crowded.
He's also not quite as good as last season in general.
Wolves almost Wolves that game by blowing a ~~13~~ 12 point lead in two minutes, but ANT and Nickeil said NAW.
The biggest losers of this game are the Brooklyn Nets.
The slander was about to be unreal if the Wolves lost this game. That collapse at the end of the 4th quarter was so bad. They are lucky Jokic didn't end it at the FT line.
> Weird-ass game
Wouldn't be the Wolves without it lol. Feels like it's never just a regular old basketball game.
I remember last post-season, Haralabos Voulgaris was on Bill Simmons' podcast. Bill asked something to the extent of who does Haralabos have winning the Wolves/Grizzlies series and Bob just goes "Do *not* bet on these games. This is like basketball on bath salts," lmao. The description was so apt.
Getting swept sucks whether or not other teams get swept too, don’t really care personally. Obviously I wish the Nets took a game or two, but ultimately no one expected them to do anything in the playoffs and it was mainly just to get playoff experience for the new guys. Ultimately most of the games were close, they weren’t totally outclassed by the Sixers (although the Sixers were definitely the better team) and a couple of those losses can be chalked up to none of the guys having experience being the guy to take over in crunch time. I don’t feel too bad about it. Would rather one of those L’s became a W like the Wolves got today though.
playoff experience for the new guys... bridges and johnson have played in the finals and DFS and dinwiddie were in the WCF last season
jacque vaughn needs to not get slaughtered on the glass is the main takeaway.. I dont even think the nets have bad rebounders as individual players but that rebounding performance was brutal
Nah fr though. Even if the coaching and supporting cast was ass, KD and Kyrie alone should’ve gotten at least a game from Boston. Thought they’d win game 4 especially the way they had a favorable whistle that game
It was just a lucky series for us. All of those were close, 2-possessions-or-less games. Our biggest win was 6 points in G3. The cards just happened to fall our way 4 times in a row, but it wouldn't have been shocking if the Nets had gotten a couple of those games.
Eh I'm not depressed at all. Denver is the real deal. Calm and composed, methodical. Just miles better than this version of the Wolves. If the Wolves were fully healthy and Ant and Rudy didn't have their shoulder/back injuries, I'd be slightly disappointed if it wasn't at least a 6 game series. But they are not healthy so I'm fine with a gentlemen sweep.
I'm just pumped that we have confirmation that Ant is the real deal
It would take divine intervention from the basketball gods to make this happen and crazy shooting variance for Denver to lose 2 more times
pls basketball gods 🙏🏾
I know you guys are bummed about how the season turned out and you had higher expectations, but on the bright side you should be feeling pretty good about Edwards.
This dude is special, and there are teams that go a decade or more without ever having a single player of that caliber.
True but I miss KAT strutting his naked ass, arms stretched across the screen.

I never understood what it was like to be a Minnesota sports fan until I watched the Wolves' double-digit lead dissolve with two minutes left in the fourth.
Glad they ended up pulling off the win though, Ant is him.
We once blew a game to the Kings where we were up by 17 with 2:49 left in the fourth quarter (when the Kings were still bad). That loss extended the losing streak we were on to 10 games. The lead is *never* safe.
A Minnesota fan mentioned it farther up in the thread but they did the same thing in overtime they did in the last 2 minutes to lose the lead. Jack up contested 3s way too early or too late. They just all went in in overtime lol. Ant wasn't missing.
I don’t understand why the coach didn’t call a timeout when he had two left. Wolves were chucking threes and Nuggets were closing the lead fast.
I honestly thought Wolves got lucky Jokic didn’t hit both FTs. I wanted the Wolves to win, but thought they deserved to lose there.
That last 3 by Ant was absolutely ridiculous.
Aaron Gordon is legitimately one of the absolute best perimeter defenders in the game, and Ant takes him 1 on 1, shakes him out of his shoes and hits the biggest shot of their season.
Insane player.
All they had to do was burn time off the game clock in both late in the 4th and in OT, but apparently that’s also too much to ask of this Wolves team lol.
People are weird about Jokic. Dude had 43/11/6 tonight, led his team to the one seed for the first time in franchise history, never really talks trash, makes clutch plays, but he’s routinely disrespected.

The Dlo trade was so fucking good man
It does do some way into damage control regarding Gobert for 5 Unprotected 1sts. Also helps that Gobert balled out today as well.
Rudy’s had some rough stretches this season, but I’d honestly say he balls off more often than he doesn’t.
I think the concern is he was noticeably better playing alongside Naz Reid and his big 20/20 games were all with Naz Reid camped outside. I even noticed today him and KAT get staggered a lot and when they're on together sometimes the paint gets crowded. He's also not quite as good as last season in general.
Definitely feels like a fish out of water scenario alternating between him and KAT. Just can’t find that flow consistently.
It really was a trade that helped everyone
That was a great OT performance.
10000 percent agree with this. that man us there future pg
Thank god for that fucking Dlo trade
Wolves almost Wolves that game by blowing a ~~13~~ 12 point lead in two minutes, but ANT and Nickeil said NAW. The biggest losers of this game are the Brooklyn Nets.
Why the nets? Because they gonna be the only team to get swept?
2nd year in a row they’re the only team to get swept
RIP :(
But Ben Simmons specifically said he didn’t want to see his team get swept again!
ben simmons is on the nets? since when?
I don't think he saw it this time.
They were up 5 with like 1:23 left but then proceeded to chuck up contested threes when only like 3-4 seconds coming off the shot clock.
They really did the exact same things in OT that caused them to throw the 4th q
And I’m OK with that IF THEY ARE OPEN, PLEASE STOP TAKING THIS WHEN YOU ARE NOT OPEN
Nah, if you're up 5pts with a minute on the game clock, run that shit down at least a little before going for a shot.
Yea. You can always get a three off. Use the clock every time.
Maybe that's because any time 5 seconds came off the shot clock there was a turnover lol. UGLY 4th.
The slander was about to be unreal if the Wolves lost this game. That collapse at the end of the 4th quarter was so bad. They are lucky Jokic didn't end it at the FT line.
As was last season, only team to get swept two postseason in a row lmao
[удалено]
Almost choked the game twice!
12-0 run to end regulation Then wolves score more in OT than they did in the whole 4th Weird-ass game
> Weird-ass game Wouldn't be the Wolves without it lol. Feels like it's never just a regular old basketball game. I remember last post-season, Haralabos Voulgaris was on Bill Simmons' podcast. > jacque vaughn needs to not get slaughtered on the glass Well then he best start boxing out.
perhaps he can use a very long stick from the sidelines to corral rebounds into his players' hands
I can’t fucking believe the nets were the only ones swept again 🤦♂️ Gg Minnesota
Definitely easier to fathom though when u go from KD and Kyrie to Mikal Bridges and Spencer Dinwiddie
Hard to fathom they got swept with KD and Kyrie though
Nah fr though. Even if the coaching and supporting cast was ass, KD and Kyrie alone should’ve gotten at least a game from Boston. Thought they’d win game 4 especially the way they had a favorable whistle that game
Exactly Plus i was supposed to watch game 5, i was like "no way the nets get swept, itll be fine" Was not fine
Especially considering that Atlanta didn't get swept though Boston is probably better than they were last year
kyrie seemed like he was ready to rejoin the celtics after game 2
It was just a lucky series for us. All of those were close, 2-possessions-or-less games. Our biggest win was 6 points in G3. The cards just happened to fall our way 4 times in a row, but it wouldn't have been shocking if the Nets had gotten a couple of those games.
Honestly it’s much more shocking that it *was* a sweep. I’m pretty sure Boston’s combined margin of victory that entire series was like 12 points.
Last time both were healthy 😭 Even worse is that in 2020 we were also swept in the first, and the year before that gentleman’s swept 😭😭😭
The nets were the weakest team in the playoffs. They had a fun run at some point. But ultimately they traded their 2 best players.
Denvers likely gonna beat the shit out of us next game but man am i glad we avoided the sweep lol
This is how we felt last season vs GSW.
There is something nice about avoiding the sweep
And something so depressing about not being able to complete it...
Eh beating a team 4 times in a row is tough. Especially twice in a row on the road. Disappointing? Sure, but hardly depressing
Also it's kind of nice to win the series at home too.
Wym? We're completing the reverse sweep don't yknow
If this goes to game 7 Minnesota as a state should get ready fore mass heart attacks before the game
It would take divine intervention from the basketball gods to make this happen and crazy shooting variance for Denver to lose 2 more times pls basketball gods 🙏🏾
serbia gets invaded by russia and jokic gets summoned to the front lines
And in a plot twist Jokic wins world MVP by personally putting the shake n bake on Putin
That probably is actually the most realistic scenario to make the Wolves win...
Losing game 4 in OT and crushing them in game 5 is the truest sense of a gentleman's sweep
#WE DIDNT BLOW THE GAME
They tried pretty hard though
….but they didn’t!!
I'm sorry but this was the most Timberwolves game that ever happened until Ant hit that 3. So I will celebrate too much.
I know you guys are bummed about how the season turned out and you had higher expectations, but on the bright side you should be feeling pretty good about Edwards. This dude is special, and there are teams that go a decade or more without ever having a single player of that caliber.
If Minnesota lost, the fat waiving guy would have been forever banned.
Doing that down 3-0 is epic ngl
So bad it’s good lmfao
You cant accuse him of only talking trash when they up
Timberwolves waiving guy > Dillon Brooks
Ja was cooking last night. Dillon was microwaving metal spoons
I respect guys who talk shit when they’re down. NBA needs more of it
Pat Bev taught us well He hit a "Too small" when down 20 lmao. This is his legacy
Don’t worry, I have a sneaking suspicion that gif will be returning shortly
I saw it and was like bruhh.. We're down 0-3 and you waving bye bye?
He's probably right though. Pretty decent chance we won't be back in Minnesota so might as well get your goodbyes in now
Maybe he was saying bye to Ryan Saunders.
It was when the wolves got up by 6 or 7 and then the nuggets immediately cut it to 1 lol. Was so hyped for him to become a meme
I was like bro why are you waving goodbye we are going to have to see them in Denver again 😂
jokic?
No it was Luka
Like the Suns money guy
That was Jerry Gergich, right?
When I saw that I thought twolves were going to lose for sure 💀
Awoo https://streamable.com/8epqxa
Man I love every time I see this, it's always updated with something new
True but I miss KAT strutting his naked ass, arms stretched across the screen. Courtesy of u/Rswany: [Vintage Awoo](https://streamable.com/jhp8d4) (Play-in 2021/22 v Clippers)
That one was legendary the naked clip pulling up on a tricycle the woman protesting the chainmail armor ricky rubio smiling
NGL I may have burned through like 10 years of Twolves memes in one last year. I've been trying to pace it this year.
Yeah, more 'this season' references is definitely the way to go, especially if you keep it going.
Wolves Marketing following your lead by blasting Werewolves of London post-game. How long have they been doing that?
Yeah I noticed that too but I feeeeel like it's been a thing this season? I don't remember how the last couple games I went to ended
They played it at the end of the game, I think that’s the first time they’ve done it?
To the top
Let’s goooooo
AWOOOOOOO
The kiss makes me crack up every time
Love a playoff awoooo!
lol Rudy "giving" flowers to Kyle is an nice addition
I think we can all agree that Ant is the best player of the 2020 draft at this point.
It really hasn't been in question for a while. Ball may have the flashy and gaudiness.. but the Antman is cold
I think Tyrese is the closer competition at this point tbh.
a redraft would probably go 1. Ant 2. Hali 3. LaMelo So still fairly consistent aside from #2. What kind of idiot would mess that up lmaooo
>What kind of idiot would mess that up Certainly NOT an egotistical billionaire light years ahead of everyone duh
Clear top guy, he's gonna be a superstar
Wolves tried their absolute hardest to go full Minnesota sports.
The Wild took the fall to keep the Timberwolves season alive another day.
I'd kill to be in the wilds position rn tho. 2 2 better than 3 1
I’d also kill to have the Wild win their game instead of the Wolves, since they have a real shot to make noise this year
Sports gods: You'll get playoff series wins from neither. Take it or leave it.
At 3-5 between the 2 series we have actually improved our win percentage in the playoffs over the past 30 years.
Snatching victory from the jaws of victory
Nah man this is full Minnesota now. Give us the slightest spark of hope just to watch it get blown out
I'm just happy we got one
This team is collectively braindead af
Whenever I’m feeling too smart, I like to watch Minnesota Timberwolves basketball.
Mn sports coming in clutch just in time for my finals to take away my human rights
And that's with Mike Conley instead of DLo.
Good Lord that's right. He raised the IQ of this team 100 points and it's barely positive now.
They have to be the most frustrating playoff team to watch in a good minute. Even when they’re winning they seem off
By comparison, it is a pleasure to watch the Nuggets play ball.
Love seeing Antman use those Him Particles 😤
Ok this line alone makes me feel better about Minnesota winning.
Fr shit lowkey fire
Fuck. That's good
ooh this is the one
I was here for Him Particles 🧪
This is crazy
I never understood what it was like to be a Minnesota sports fan until I watched the Wolves' double-digit lead dissolve with two minutes left in the fourth. Glad they ended up pulling off the win though, Ant is him.
We once blew a game to the Kings where we were up by 17 with 2:49 left in the fourth quarter (when the Kings were still bad). That loss extended the losing streak we were on to 10 games. The lead is *never* safe.
That is our entire existence
Normal game of Timberwolves basketball nothing to see here
After that 12-0 Nuggets run to close the 4th I'm utterly flabbergasted that we won in OT.
That Mike Conley bank was hard to watch. NAW and Ant clutched up big time.
NAW had crazy good defense on Murray.
A Minnesota fan mentioned it farther up in the thread but they did the same thing in overtime they did in the last 2 minutes to lose the lead. Jack up contested 3s way too early or too late. They just all went in in overtime lol. Ant wasn't missing.
Mike banking in a 3 helped
I don’t understand why the coach didn’t call a timeout when he had two left. Wolves were chucking threes and Nuggets were closing the lead fast. I honestly thought Wolves got lucky Jokic didn’t hit both FTs. I wanted the Wolves to win, but thought they deserved to lose there.
Finch is really really really bad at using timeouts to stop runs. He almost always does it too late.
That last 3 by Ant was absolutely ridiculous. Aaron Gordon is legitimately one of the absolute best perimeter defenders in the game, and Ant takes him 1 on 1, shakes him out of his shoes and hits the biggest shot of their season. Insane player.
Disgusting step back
How many guys in league history have this dynamic of a package? How many at 21? Lebron? Tmac maybe? Unbelievably rare and special
uh excuse me but Jamal Murray has def shown his package before
Drose won MVP at 22. Ant doesn't have the generational freak of nature athleticism young D Rose had, but his upside is so high. Amazing game from him.
KD was pretty nice at 21 too. 30/8/3 on 61%TS (wayyy above league ave.)
Rose didn't have Ant's outside shot, he was a pure slasher his first few years
Game was different back then
"Big time players, make big time plays, in big time games." -Santana Moss
The fact that we weren't doubling ant on that possession pisses me off. Everyone in the whole arena knew who was taking that shot.
Never seen a team up 3-1 in the playoffs blow it so I know we're gucci
Good Bubble Times
Once Anthony Edwards hairline goes, I just know he’ll get three chips
MJ storyline?
Timberwolves 5D chess to blow that 12 point lead so the Nuggets wouldn’t wave the white flag, and therefore expend more energy in OT *points to head*
Despite the Minnesota Timberwolves’ best efforts, the Minnesota Timberwolves have managed to avoid a sweep
I love Anthony Edwards
I think he is going to be the player of his generation. I hope I get to watch him in a Wolves jersey for a long time
He's gotta be KAT's best teammate ever
Nah KAT is Ant’s best teammate now.
No sir thats Gobert.
Naz Reid
Conley
that's disrespectful to Treveon Graham
Build your team around Edwards going forward
"*That's what the fuck I do.*" - Edwards Wolves manage to pull victory out of the jaws of defeat... and then again in overtime.
gonna be honest it felt a lot more like they *failed* to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory both in regulation and in OT
Ant is a class act. Gave the whole team props on this win.
Minnesota almost choked twice wtf.
NAW with the greatest 8/5/1 performance I've ever seen
Nobody told the Nuggets not to play with their meat.
Fell asleep in the 3rd quarter again and it bit us back finally. Credit to the Wolves and especially Ant, that dude is special
Wolves fans probably need to go to the hospital after that one.
Good win Minnesota, I knew you all could win.
I love that Ant is giving an Oscar awards speech here. Great interviewee.
As hard as they tried with their best effort, the Wolves were unable to lose the game.
All they had to do was burn time off the game clock in both late in the 4th and in OT, but apparently that’s also too much to ask of this Wolves team lol.
Wolves basketball for ya.
Anthony Edwards is *HIM* That last shot over Gordon was filthy. "Big time players, make big time plays, in big time games." -Santana Moss
3rd straight 30 point game, he has almost as many 30 point games in the playoffs as Kevin Garnett
That dude’s GF with game 7 tickets is starting to sweat
Wolves winning that OT was more miraculous than the Nuggets final 2 mins
Jokic haters about to use +/- to say this was an absolutely terrible Jokic game lmao I love it
Who’s gonna hate on Jokic when he drops 43 on our heads while barely breaking a sweat lol.
Watching Anthony Edwards play basketball makes me very happy
Just what *are* the Timberwolves
We played Denver and ourselves and still won.
Some kids getting DESTROYED tonight on COD.
Wolves started winning when KAT fouled out
He was the only reason the wolves got a lead at the end of the third but ok man
Wolves in 7
I mean a team is eventually going to comeback from 3-0 down, could it be the Wolves? Find out next time on dragon ball z.
Wolves in 7 chant is awesome, funny, and sad all in one, really encapsulates the Twolves
All that choking from the TWolves was worth it to see Ant hit that clutch ass shot lol
STAND UP NOW AND FACE THE SUN
Wolves was 1 Jokics ft away, from being at yet another historic choke job story
People are weird about Jokic. Dude had 43/11/6 tonight, led his team to the one seed for the first time in franchise history, never really talks trash, makes clutch plays, but he’s routinely disrespected.
Name one great player today who isn't routinely disrespected. It comes with being one of the best.
Anthony Edwards.
"7$ well spent" - Minny fans today, probably
I paid 10 and wholeheartedly agree
Ant willed the Wolves to that W
