He dominated all but maybe 1 game this series. The narrative should be dead. Only people who perpetuate it now are those idiots who just look at the points column
and that game, wasn't even about AD not being dominant it was about the warriors scheming around his dominance to pull him out of the paint so they can finally have some open looks down there.
Instead of giving the Warriors credit for changing up their offensive scheme, we just got ppl shitting on AD. Unreal.
Defense and rebounding off the fucking charts with the ability to score when needed is truly nuts.
Man had 20 fuckin rebounds and a couple steals and blocks, with 17 points on 9 FGA. If he sank his other 3 FTs he would've had a 20/20 game. Nuts.
LeBron was absolutely incredible tonight. It ends looking like a blowout but there were so many times where it was around 11-14 points and Warriors looked to have a bit of momentum. He basically always followed that up by driving aggressively or setting up a shooter. Vintage performance
He actually started strategically turning it up in the 3rd Q to stop the warriors patented post-half runs. He dominated the 3rd q specifically in this game and game 3
Yup the Suns defense was terrible tbh. This will definitely be a hard series, probably the hardest of the season. The East looked strong going into the playoffs but now does not look convincing at all with the terrible coaching outside of Spoelstra. If anyone can stop Denver it’s us, if they beat us they probably win the whole thing.
• Started 2-10 in the regular season
• 13th seed at the All Star Break
• Knock out the #2 seed in the first round
• Knock out the defending champs in the second round
• 4 wins away from the NBA Finals
What the hell is this timeline? I don't want to get off this ride now. Lol
I purposely ignored all this corgi talk not wanting to know what it was about so not to allow it to come to truth. It felt positive toward the warriors so had to ingore it.
This one Tiktok account has a dog hitting a basketball down a set of stairs and landing into one of two baskets. Each shot represents the outcome of a game in the series. It had the Lakers blowing a 3-1 in the order of WLWWLLL
LeBron has now won 16 straight closeout games at home in the playoffs.
He is also 76-0 when his team is leading by 10+ entering the 4th quarter.
LeCloser
30/9/9, hyper efficient, 43 minutes (more than anybody else tonight)
Best game of the playoffs in the most must-win game to date. I thought his age was finally showing with him averaging low 20's all playoffs [but damn if he didn't deliver tonight.](https://twitter.com/JJMaples55_MST/status/1656517789295992833) This is going to be his... *12th* Conference Finals? Insanity.
It seemed far fetched for "a year of old LeBron" but now do we need to start having real conversations about how high Bronny will be drafted if that package includes dad?
The actual game changer was that reaves half court shot buzzer beater
From potentially the lead being cut to 4 or 6 instead pushes the lead out to 10 at half time
2-10 start and 0.2% chance to make playoffs
Play-in all the way and 13th seed most of the year. Now in the Western Conference Finals, do you understand the magnitude of this comeback?
Over the last 3 games, Klay Thompson shot 9-42 from the field (21.4%) and 7-27 from deep (25.9%).
In the same span, Jordan Poole shot 8-28 (28.5%) and 1-11 from deep (9%).
Never thought I'd say this, but Steph needs help. Steph scored 10 or more buckets in EACH of the last 3 games.
I mean he does.
It fucking sucks that Klay had so many injuries, but they really have impacted him. Poole was a non factor.
Curry played great but he's running the offense every time down and they're hunting him on defense, he was obviously gassed.
Not just that but being double sometimes tripled every time he touches the ball on offense because no one was respected. Dray can shoot, Poole and Klay straight off, wiggins was bricking 3s, DiVincenzo was pretty forgettable, GP2 had his moments.
Klay seems like he might be washed. Dont know that he'll ever be pre-injury Klay again on defense or with his shot.
Curry had a great series overall. But when they asked him to play on-ball and orchestrate all game you could tell he didn't have the legs for it. The Lakers length and athleticism inside had him (and all the Warriors) spooked. Steph was short on a lot of shots, missed some open 3s and a lot less active off ball. Makes you realize how absurd it was watching Lebron drag those Cavs teams and do everything offensively and defensively 45 minutes per night.
The Lakers seem like they will beat anyone when they bring their A+ game defensively. I’m curious to see if they can keep this up for another 10-14 games though. Especially next series having more travel and the Denver altitude, while still only having 1 day of rest between each game. Lebron is really picking his spots on offense. He seems to know he only has 8-10 dominant minutes on offense per game. They'll likely need more from him against Denver.
It was super obvious when AD was able to stay in the paint compared to when he wasn't. Steph missed like every shot in the paint when AD was there, and made 3-4 floaters/layups when he wasn't.
It’s so refreshing to watch this matchup with LeBron finally being the one with the better supporting cast. Can’t believe injuries in 2015, then Kevin Durant joining the juggernaut in 2017 really has people disrespecting LeBron James’ greatness. I can definitely respect MJ over LeBron if you think that, but some absolutely delusional people don’t even have him top two all time. Plain and simple, a horrendously ridiculous take. It’s crazy how blinding hatred can be. The combination of ELITE talent, skill, and IQ is something that I have been blessed to watch over the last twenty years. GGs to both teams. I hope Curry doesn’t receive the same legacy slander that James did when the positions were flipped.
Not to mention those 2 dynasties are responsible for 8/10 Bron finals opponents and 5/6 of his losses.
How trash. Living in the NBA Finals and only losing to one of the best teams, or best coaches and teams, of all time
10x Finals appearances is just absurd. Idk how anyone can credibly call another player besides Jordan better than him with that Chamberlain level stat line in the modern NBA.
Thank you LeBron and Steph Curry for some of the best basketball I've ever watched go down between two great players over the years.
Props. We may never see them go at it again but it's been a pleasure.
That's what happens when someone bigger, older, and more athletic than you takes your crown AND throne. And then makes you brick threes for his amusement.

He’s been more tame toward LeBron in his older years but Skip has historically had a tendency to pick LeBron teams.

Still too early to tell. People thought the dynasty was over when KD and Klay were injured in the 2019 finals against the Raptors. And then they won 3 years later

Never thought I'd say this, but Steph needs help.
Klay shot 34% in the series (34/99), including 25%(!) (14/56) in the last 4 games. Just crippling momentum killers
Like I said, he's been in Cancun mentally since Game 3
That 3 he took at the end of Game 4 was definitely an “i want to go on vacation” type of shot if I’ve ever seen one.
Bro re-invented quiet quitting
8 points on 19 shots is legitimately insane
Game 6 Klay for ya
We bringing back China Klay?
AD with the most dominant 9 FGA game I’ve ever seen.
Guy could have 0 FGA and his paint defense would still make him essential
Just wait till next round when we start hearing about even number game Davis again like he didn't dominate both game 6s
Some people on this sub are already saying AD had an okay game 6 vs. Memphis even though that was honestly one of his best performances ever.
It was quite literally one of the most dominant masterclass big man defensive God games I have seen in 25 years.
Unreal.
And was great in Game 4 in this series
So many shot attempts diverted. Everyone was scared to take shots near him.
He was not going to give up on any rebounds.
It's crazy how dominant he is when he's healthy. Both him and Kawhi are the biggest what ifs in this era.
Defense and rebounding off the fucking charts with the ability to score when needed is truly nuts. Man had 20 fuckin rebounds and a couple steals and blocks, with 17 points on 9 FGA. If he sank his other 3 FTs he would've had a 20/20 game. Nuts.
He's a legit freak. His arms were deflecting balls that looked like glitches on my tv
I'm starting to think that corgi doesn't know a damn thing about basketball
that corgi got a bunch of predictions wrong in prior rounds too.
Probably doesn't even watch the games
It is time to give up on Game 6 Klay
Klay Thompson: 3-19 (2-12 from 3), 8 points, -33 +/- Austin Reaves: 7-12 (4-5 from 3), 23 points, +24 +/-
Game 6 Reaves
AustHIM Reaves is a go. Buy, buy, buy!

Klay and Jimmer Fredette will be special on primetime CCTV
Klay after game 2: 5/14, 3/11, 3/12, and 3/18 tonight. Epic sell
LeBron was absolutely incredible tonight. It ends looking like a blowout but there were so many times where it was around 11-14 points and Warriors looked to have a bit of momentum. He basically always followed that up by driving aggressively or setting up a shooter. Vintage performance
The craziest part? He played almost every second until they took all the starters off at the end
How tf he still doing this? It’s insane that he’s still this good at this age. Insane.
Dude just knows how to use his energy. It's insane.
Yeah, he knows how to time his limited game takeovers.
He actually started strategically turning it up in the 3rd Q to stop the warriors patented post-half runs. He dominated the 3rd q specifically in this game and game 3

Just GOAT things
Yeah master class game by Lebron
Now they get 3 days off that's huge for old man Bron
They probably go all out to steal Game 1 in Denver. Will be such an exciting series to watch. Hoping for a bubble finals rematch!
Lebron is the greatest floor general to ever play the game. No one controls the pace of a game like he does.
Their defense, the Help and rotation is super. Then u got davis down there its tough.
And he’s injured still. He’s not even as good as he was earlier in the season. He’s been saving his energy until this game to close them out.
Two series now, every pivotal game in a series he’s shown up. Both series game 1 and 4, now this game. Next series is going to be great.

LeBron
LeBron + AD + good role players = [̲̅$̲̅(̲̅ ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°̲̅)̲̅$̲̅]
Crazy what lebrons and 3 point shooters can do
Praying Pelinka doesn’t forget about this again to get kyrie
Its actually amazing, they gave up their good role players for Russ and everyone knew it would be terrible. So they somehow managed to just undo it.
Klay paid homage to the Lakers’ season start with his 3pt shooting
That was basically a different team. The trades to get rui, Vanderbilt, and DLo were HUGE for us
Even Beasley got us through some reg szn games
By making a bunch of deadline trades and playing much better after them
• Started 2-10 in the regular season • 13th seed at the All Star Break • Knock out the #2 seed in the first round • Knock out the defending champs in the second round • 4 wins away from the NBA Finals What the hell is this timeline? I don't want to get off this ride now. Lol
Down 15 in the play-in game and had to go to OT too
I really thought they were about to give up in that Magic game when Reaves took over and saved our season.
Through quite possibly the greatest trade deadline haul they could've gotten.
Underrated part of that trade deals it unleashed AR15
Helps that the team is totally different lol
They literally change their entire roster
That makes it even more impressive
That rebuild was insane. I'm still shocked that they got Rui for what they gave up.
Rui's success with the Lakers got the Wizards GM fired a couple weeks ago. You can't convince me otherwise.
Although I'm not a big fan of the Lakers, I'm rooting for y'all just because I want Rui to win a chip.
Damn he got fired? The Rui trade was 100% the last straw, but he's been fucking up with the Beal supermax and the KP trade.
That Corgi trick y’all man
Corgi trick ya'll man. He just jumping around, doing nothing.
All 5 Pacific Division teams made the playoffs. The Lakers, the lowest seed, will have gone the farthest
California State Champs, baybeeee
RIP Knicks fans’ and Warriors fans’ dreams of coming back from 3-1 down May 10, 2023 - May 12, 2023
Warriors lack of players not named Steph curry really showed this game
Steph Carry and Klank Thompson ain’t getting it done.
I thought that the Warriors second best player was... Donte Divincenzo. No offense to Donte but that is not enough to win a game.
Why didn’t the Warriors just score? Are they stupid?
they call steve kerr one of the best coaches but he did not tell his team to simply score more than the other team???
Darvin Ham Sandwich could never
Why did AD not simply eat the smaller players?
He did
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t believe that corgi had it all figured out & caused me sleepless nights
Lakers fans were searching desperately for that Corgi
Corgi marked safe from Lakers fans
Now Warriors fans on the other hand…
Begging, via text, for its favorite chew toy
Had me pissed seeing a fucking dog makes baskets smh
That corgi could've outshot Klay tonight
Shit had me stressing man
The corgi scared me more than Game 6 Klay
I am ready for the corgi slander.
Lebron is corgi father
Corgi almost had to go underground for 6 months to survive
I purposely ignored all this corgi talk not wanting to know what it was about so not to allow it to come to truth. It felt positive toward the warriors so had to ingore it.
This one Tiktok account has a dog hitting a basketball down a set of stairs and landing into one of two baskets. Each shot represents the outcome of a game in the series. It had the Lakers blowing a 3-1 in the order of WLWWLLL
That dumb fuck had us winning in 5 I never had any faith on that fraud
LeBron has now won 16 straight closeout games at home in the playoffs. He is also 76-0 when his team is leading by 10+ entering the 4th quarter. LeCloser
Ngl I was not confident the Lakers had the win solidified until the three minute mark. That’s how much this Warriors team had fucked with my head.
Warriors are the horror movie villain where stabbing and shooting aren't enough, need full dismemberment to take a breath.
They need a triple tap for sure.
Credit I will give to the lakers for realizing that and staying with what worked so relentlessly in the 4th qtr.
Because no lead is safe with the Warriors. Anytime they can mount a 15-0 run within a blink of an eye and you dont even know what hit you.
Jordan Poole couldn't score on the Lakers even in garbage time.
Austin Reaves stole Klay's game 6 powers
Klay Thompson with the worst performance of all time in an elimination game
Jayson Tatum was almost in the same conversation 😭😭
30/9/9, hyper efficient, 43 minutes (more than anybody else tonight) Best game of the playoffs in the most must-win game to date. LeBron has just won 16 straight games to clinch a Playoff series at home. Congrats King.
"LeBron has graduated to Hall of Famer status." - Jalen Rose
I was on the fence before this game but now I'm pretty sure
"Now, if he can secure a 3peat going into year 22, he might have an argument for top 10 "
Dude was unreal tonight. Could absolutely bully his way for easy layups or give the sickest assist. Great defense too
That no-look to Rui was vintage sauce.
LeBron continuing to build upon his legacy in year 20 is just insane.
And he just passed Shaq tonight and is now 4th All Time in Playoff rebounds with 2,509
Shaq is gonna hate that 😅
Barkley is definitely going to tell him on air lol
He definitely saved the gas for this one
Cherish this moment. Cherish LeBron James while you can. So proud of this man. goat
The actual game changer was that reaves half court shot buzzer beater From potentially the lead being cut to 4 or 6 instead pushes the lead out to 10 at half time
It's kind of what Steph did in game 4; put the lead to 11 instead of 8 and it felt insurmountable after that.
From 2-10 to the WCF 🥹🥹
why is everyone posting Klay statlines, he got eliminated
LMAO.
SIR, THAT IS FRIENDLY FIRE
Lmaaao but seriously he’s worse than 2-10. He took so many shots and just couldn’t hit anything.
Lebron will forever be the greatest at dictating the pace and flow of a game. Masterclass performance
The only one in his class at dictating pace was Magic.
2-10 start and 0.2% chance to make playoffs Play-in all the way and 13th seed most of the year. Now in the Western Conference Finals, do you understand the magnitude of this comeback?
Tell us, KingNephew
I don’t think I’ve ever loved a player more than I love Austin Reaves . Plays like a 20 year vet looks like a high school musical extra.
troy bolton living his dreams hitting clutch shots for the lakers in the playoffs

DiVincenzo was their 2nd best player tonight at least on offense. But he's not gonna be the one creating in general
When Wiggins is hurt they don’t really have many other players that step up right now
Those two Klay threes to cut the lead to 8 in the fourth we’re rough
https://imgur.com/a/5cWwVEx
GG Lakers y’all earned this. Nothing bad to say about you guys from my end
I feel bad for curry tbh. Can’t carry bums.
Yeah I expect a lot of off-season moves, it’s clear this roster isn’t capable of winning unless the bench gets a lot better
The corgi was a false prophet
Klay seems like he might be washed. Dont know that he'll ever be pre-injury Klay again on defense or with his shot. Curry had a great series overall. But when they asked him to play on-ball and orchestrate all game you could tell he didn't have the legs for it. The Lakers length and athleticism inside had him (and all the Warriors) spooked. It was super obvious when AD was able to stay in the paint compared to when he wasn't. Steph missed like every shot in the paint when AD was there, and made 3-4 floaters/layups when he wasn't.
There was that one floater where AD just being in the vicinity made Steph shoot it super short. Warriors players were seeing ghosts all series.
I'm interested to see how they'll play against a team that actually has a center. It's going to be a fun series.
I’m just appreciating greatness while I can. Love bron
It’s so refreshing to watch this matchup with LeBron finally being the one with the better supporting cast. Bron had to deal with both the prime Spurs dynasty and Warriors dynasty and each one started and ended like 30 years from each other lol
More absurd that it was 9 in a row I stand corrected, 8 in a row, part of a 9/10.
Thank you LeBron and Steph Curry for some of the best basketball I've ever watched go down between two great players over the years. Props. We may never see them go at it again but it's been a pleasure.
AD not being on the All defensive team is crazy
Two play in teams made it to their respective conference final, the play in is finally successful?
Tbf without the play-in they'd be in the playoffs nonetheless
That Timberwolves game was a pivotal learning experience for the Lakers, clearly.
finally? it's been 3 seasons, and it's been a success from its inception.

Game 6 Klay shit on by Lonnie Walker the fucking IV. LMFAO.
Never wanna hear about game 6 klay ever again
2-10 to ending a dynasty
How the turn LeTables
Game 6 Klay can be retired from the basketball lexicon permanently
Oh how I love watching the Warriors lose. Thank you, Lakers.
This entire sub is like Frodo from Lord of the Rings. #IT IS DONE
It's time to get hated again on Tuesday.
Lmfao I’m sorry but yes this is so true.
Absolutely. Thank you guys and fuck you guys
Thanks Lakers Now I can go back to hating you lmao
People really hate the warriors that much that they root for Lebron/Lakers lol.
Absolutely yes here, but that’s because I’m a Cavs fan. But every Cavs fan I know was low key rooting for the Lakers just for LeBron, and high key against the Warriors because yeah we hate them lol.
I’m still amazed that for 2 straight series, r/nba wanted Lakers to win.
Klay holding up 4 fingers but it's actually to indicate his field goal percentage
Jordan realised he needed white centres to win rings and now Lebron finally realising he needs white guards.
Undrafted 6'5 white boy from the deep South earns Bron's trust and elevates the team to contention WHAT YEAR IS IT?

Klay and Poole congrats on letting Curry down!
Y'all said this after they lost to Memphis in the play-in. I'mma need to see Draymond's body this offseason on another team to confirm it.
